Should You Avoid All Free Trial Skin Care Offers?

Skin Care Free Trials – Good, Bad & Ugly?

You don’t have to look very long or hard online to find a “fantastic free trial sample offer” for skin care creams, serums, moisturizers, eye gels, foams, cleansers, masks, anti-wrinkle lotions and many other cosmetic beauty-related products.

Our tediously tall task here is to safely guide you into clean and clear “free” skincare product opportunities by ‘keeping it kosher' on how you can identify the good and avoid bad and downright ugly free trial samples that are flooding the internet under many different names, brands and labels.

Unfortunately, as the “fountain of youth anti-aging beauty market” continues to explode with unprecedented exponential growth, some unscrupulous manufacturers have unknowingly taken advantage of the unsuspecting consumers by offering scammy free trial samples that are supposed to allow you to “try before you buy”. But this is where the ‘fine-print waters' get muddy and murky and where we hope to help you make informed, educated decisions based on your skin care needs and wants.

Let's review why most (but certainly not all) free trial skin care samples aren't exactly as free as advertised.

How Do These Sample Trials Work?

Let's start by saying not every free trial offer is created equally or rests on the same laurels. However, most of these skin care product scams proceed in a virtually identical way and follow the same format and structure (which ideally makes it easier for you and us to avoid).

And before we dive deep into these glowingly troublesome free trial offers, we must mention the fact that “by law” most of these companies (no matter how bad or ugly it looks), are only charging you what you actually agreed to in the fine print.

So this post from here on out is not to blame or shame any company or product outright, but more designed for you to get sensible and knowledgeable about how these are conducted and carried out so you can make your decision with more upfront resources.

Because after all, the try before you buy model can truly create a win win for both you and the company if done with ethics and transparency.

What To Look For When Buying “Free Offers”?

First, you’ll come across a hot new advertisement about a new product being sold online. That product may advertise itself as the next biggest thing in the beauty industry. It may call itself a top-quality alternative and “Better Than Botox”.

Some also advertise themselves as Hollywood’s best-kept secrets and will post stock photos of people who are supposed to be celebrities.

Step 1) Potential Website Tricks For You To Be Aware Of

Having viewed hundreds of skin care scam websites, I’ve spotted some common trends between all these scams including getting you to think the skin care cream, serum or eye gel is in high demand. What else – plenty:

— The websites feature very little information about the ingredients used in the skin cream and they don’t explain how the product works.

— In other cases, the site may try to overwhelm you with scientific jargon to make you think the formula is more advanced than it is.

— The sites make enormous claims about the benefits of the cream, like saying they reduce wrinkles by 84%, without actually providing any evidence to back up these claims

— The websites may feature information about how major media outlets featured the skin cream, like news sites like CNN and NBC or magazines like InStyle and Allure. You may see the logos for these media outlets on the main ordering page.

— The manufacturer will explain that “due to recent media attention, we cannot guarantee that [Skin Care Product Scam A] will be in stock”. Other warning signs across the page will reinforce this scarce supply.

— Then, the website will list something that says “As of [Your Date], we have confirmed [Skin Care Product Scam A] is in stock. Lucky you!

— These false supply/demand thing is created to trick you into thinking you need to purchase the skin cream as quickly as possible. In reality, the skin care product manufacturer will never run out.

— In many cases, these manufacturers will pay affiliates to promote the product, which means you can Google the skin cream and find multiple reviews on the internet reinforcing the product’s benefits. This can make it a little more difficult to separate scams from legitimate offers.

For this we suggest our most recommended anti-aging skin care products being the Beverly Hills MD product line or Abella Mayfair.

Step 2) You Will Be Pushed Towards a “Free Trial” or “Risk-Free Offer”

The goal of the website is for you to enter your contact information and move onto the next step. Typically, there will be a contact form on the right-hand side of the page. That contact form will be surrounded by graphics that say “Free Trial” or “Risk-Free Trial” or something along those lines.

You’ll enter your name, address, and phone number and then move onto the next step.

Step 3) You Accept the Terms of the “Free Trial”

Once you’ve got to the next page, you might be immediately prompted to enter your credit card information to pay for the shipping and handling fee.

The manufacturer will explain that they can’t just give away skin care products for free – they’re being such nice a nice manufacturer that you should at least be expected to pay shipping and handling.

If you’re the type of person who falls for these scams online, then you probably think it’s acceptable to pay that shipping and handling fee.

Typically, this shipping and handling fee ranges from $3.95 to $9.95.

You’re expected to think: oh, so this trial isn’t totally free. But hey, it’s only a few bucks. That’s basically free.

You’ll need to enter your credit card to pay this fee. You’ll also need to check a box confirming that you’ve read and accepted the terms and conditions.

Once you’ve accepted the fee and moved onto the next step, the real scam begins.

Immediately after hitting the button to confirm your order, your credit card is pre-authorized for not just a charge of $5 to $10 for shipping, but also a charge normally around $100.

If your credit card cannot handle a charge of $100, then you will not be able to order the “free” trial.

If the pre-authorization charge goes through, then your “free” trial product will be shipped to your address. The package typically arrives within 3 to 5 business days.

The moment you confirmed your order on the free trial beauty product scam site, a clock started counting down. You’ll find out why that clock was counting down in the next step.

Step 4) You Have 14 Days to Try the Product and Return It Before your Credit Card is Charged

You’ve already paid your shipping fee. Your free trial of the skin cream arrives within 3 to 5 business days.

— Remember: we say business days. Not calendar days. That will become important in a little bit.

You may be surprised to find that the skin cream you received is a full-sized jar of skin cream. It’s a full monthly supply of the cream. When you order a free trial of anything online, you typically expect it to be small. That’s not how these scams work.

You have 14 calendar days from the date you ordered your free trial before you need to pay the full price. Some of the manufacturers are “generous” and will give you 18 days. But 14 days is the most popular trial term.

Within 14 calendar days of ordering your item, you’re expected to try it, assess its benefits, and decide whether or not it’s the right product for you. If it’s not the right product for you, then you’ll need to contact customer service and start the return process within that 14 day window.

If you don’t start the return process within the 14 day window, then you’ll be charged anywhere from $80 to $150 for the full-sized skin cream you’ve already received. That’s right: your “free” trial will actually cost you the full-size price.

Ultimately, this might mean you only have a day or two to try the product and assess its benefits before you worry about being charged. Let’s say you order the skin cream on a Tuesday. It takes 5 business days to arrive. Business days are only weekdays. If it takes 5 business days to arrive, then you might have to wait until Tuesday or Wednesday of the week after to receive your package.

By Tuesday or Wednesday, it’s been 7 or 8 calendar days since you ordered your trial. That means you only have a few days to start trying the product and decide whether or not it’s for you.

If you don’t return your product within the 14 day period, then the full charge that was pre-authorized on your credit card will finally go through.

But that’s not even the worst part of theses skin care product free trial offer scams.

Step 5) You’re Automatically Signed Up for a Recurring Monthly Autoship Program

This is where the beauty product manufacturers really dig their nails into you: instead of just taking your $100 for the free trial product, the manufacturers automatically sign you up for an automatic shipment – an autoship – program.

This program means you’ll continue to receive repeated shipments of the beauty product every month until you cancel. Your credit card will continue to be charged $100 every month (or whatever the price of the beauty product may be) and you will continue to receive a monthly order of the cream delivered to your doorstep.

Making matters worse is that most beauty product manufacturers will actually charge you shipping and handling as well: which means you’ll be charged $100 + $4.95 shipping and handling.

If you don’t cancel, then your credit card will continue to be charged until it’s maxed out.

Step 6) Customer Service Is Deliberately Awful About Canceling your Subscription

Do you think the manufacturers that perpetuate these skin care scams are going to have friendly call centers open 24/7 to help you cancel your subscription?

Of course they’re not.

Instead, you’ll have brief call center hours and horrible call center employees.

We’ve seen reports about a wide range of different customer service problems, including:

— Employees Refusing To Cancel A Subscription
— Employees Telling You Your Subscription Has Been Canceled, Even When It Hasn’t
— Employees Will Genuinely Cancel Your Subscription, Only To Sign You Up For Another Autoship Scam

In some cases, the call center employees are genuinely helpful and will cancel your subscription immediately. However, cases like this seem to be extremely rare.

More Than Just Skin Care Free Trials

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen autoship scams in the world of online marketing. They’ve been a major part of the industry for over a decade.

Free trial scams can be found in all of the following niches:

— Bodybuilding Supplements
Garcinia Diet Pills
— Teeth Whiteners
— And Much More

Is It Illegal? No, Because You Agreed To Everything in the Terms and Conditions

You may be wondering – why hasn’t the FTC or another organization clamped down on the scam artists running these operations?

At the most basic level, they’re not illegal: like a lot of scams, they rely on misdirecting people without actually performing any illegal actions.

The main “cop out” used by skin care product manufacturers is that you explicitly accepted the terms and conditions. You checked a box saying that you read and understood those terms and conditions – even though most people have done no such thing.

Most normal terms and conditions statements don’t force you to pay some huge amount of money. When you sign up for an anti-aging skin care scam, however, terms and conditions sections will outline all of the fees listed above. They explicitly explain the autoship program and all of the ways in which you will be charged.

In some cases, skin care manufacturers will actually put the relevant part of the terms and conditions on the main ordering page – the page where you enter your credit card information.

For example, some skin cream manufacturers will have a small section below the ordering form that says something like this:

“By accepting the terms and conditions, you’re agreeing to pay Beauty Product Scam Company $4.95 for shipping and handling today. 14 days after your order is complete, your credit card will be charged the low price of $84.95 for the full-sized product you just received. You will also be signed up for the Beauty Product Scam Company’s exclusive VIP pricing program. You will continue to receive orders of Beauty Product Scam every month at our discount rate $84.95 + $4.95 shipping and handling. If you wish to cancel, you can do so by calling 555-555-1234 and cancel at any time.”

Basically, this section outlines in full detail everything that will happen to you when you accept the terms and conditions. This is done exclusively to protect the manufacturer from legal repercussions.

Making matters worse is that these companies will often hide this information in light grey text, small font, or in some dark corner of the ordering page. It’s rarely listed explicitly upon signing up.

Anti Aging Skin Cream Refunds

Don’t expect to get a big refund from the companies that perpetuate the scams described above.

Typically, these companies offer refunds – but only if the bottle is unopened and returned in new condition.

In many cases, companies will also charge you a restocking fee. You almost always have to pay for your own shipping and handling as well. That means the shipping and handling fee you originally paid will not be part of your refund, and it also means you need to pay your own shipping and handling for the return package.

How to Avoid Anti Aging Skin Cream Scams

If you’re not careful, an anti-aging skin cream scam can leave you hundreds of dollars in debt. Here are some easy ways to avoid bad trial scams:

— Only purchase skin care products from reputable manufacturers with a proven history

— Always research skin creams and companies online before you buy

— Read reviews from real customers and don’t trust every customer review you see online – the same manufacturers that make skin care trials will often pay writers hundreds to post fake reviews on Amazon (even “Verified Purchase” reviews); plus, they often run affiliate programs that reward people with financial compensation for posting glowing reviews online

— Look up the product’s ingredients and only purchase from companies that provide real scientific evidence to reinforce these claims

— Buy products from companies that have performed high-quality clinical trials

— Never put your credit card information into unsecured online forms. Always look for HTTPS and other signs of secure ordering

— Wherever possible, purchase items from Amazon or other legitimate online retailers. In some cases, the companies that operate free trial scams actually sell identical products at a lower price on Amazon – and you don’t have to worry about the autoship program.

— If something sounds too good to be true, then it usually is. That’s doubly true online and triply true when you’re looking at anti-aging skin creams.

Ultimately, the most important way to avoid free trial beauty product scams online is to realize that nobody gives away stuff for free online without expecting something in return. Don’t think you’re special just because you stumbled across some website. You’re not lucky or fortunate: you’re just falling for a scam.

If you can keep these lessons in mind, you’ll never fall for a skin care free trial offer scam again. If you keep up to date with our website, you will see we have reviewed many skin care supplements and creams over the past year or more that have these scams. Check here first to see if we have done an extensive review on the product you are wanting to purchase.

Just remember, not every business rely on these scammy free trials. There are legitimate online supplement retailers out there that are good down to earth people that are willing to work with you.

  1. I am a victim of free trial of Skin Flow advanced anti aging cream and Final skincare anti wrinkle cream. i was charged $3.99 for the shipping fee but charged me more than that. another thing is 14 days after, then charge me $190 CAD and $181 CAD without any notice and emails for shipments.. I cancelled the order and asking me for 25 and 50% discount but i said no. I want to cancel and i need a refund. The staff did not tell me anything about no refund policy so i did expect for refund after that. I try to call them for updates about refund but i was shock because the lady told me they dont have options for refund instead of agreeing of their discounts offer. I am doing some moves with the help of credit card issuer for this issue. hoping still for the refund.. NO TO FREE TRIAL PRODUCTS>

  2. Anyone who does not read everything before putting in their credit card shouldn’t be placing orders online. NOTHING IS FREE!!

  3. Wish I had seen this BEFORE I sent for my “free” sample of Decollage skin cream. When I got my credit card bill, I was appalled and immediately called my card company, who informed me to contact the company and take whatever they offered as a refund. They offered $120 bucks after I argued with them. Several hours later, I received an email stating I would receive $60 back. Liars. I’m not done with them yet. How do these people sleep at night?

  4. I was taken by Enutra Skin Cream, supposedly Pauley Perette’s company. I saw no mention of automatic
shipment on the site I ordered from. The sites seem to be continually changing. The product I received
is not what was shown. Beware!

  5. I have been scammed by Derma Viva and Radiant Bloom Ageless Eye Cream. I have received the free trial but have no way of contacting the company/ies to stop further charges. I can’t send an email – cookies blocks it I think. shall try an Australian number tomorrow and then shall contact tmy credit card company.

  6. I suggest that every single person that are the victims of these HUGEEEEE!! scam do as PT says: File a claim in court. We can not just accept that we have been scammed and just let go. Those bastards must be stopped, they are making millions of dollars taking money from the working class, money that is for buying food for our children, THAT IS A SIN!!!!!!!!!. Let’s act ASAP.

  7. Wow I have to tell everyone to watch out for the anti-ageing that are being sold as the winning product on shark tank. Like others b4 me have said it is a loop that you can’t get out of and then when you call to be able to return the product you didn’t want the then say well I will give it to you for 50% off and now you say ok because the cost of turning it would be about the same. Same trick different website company lotion face anti-wrinkle whatever and the when u want to cxl the main product( that doesn’t do ANYTHING BUT WASTE YOUR TIME ) they say well how about I give you a discount of 20% and then its 30% u say no again and eventually it goes down to 10% of the original price. So, I said ok if before you charge my card I get extra 2 weeks at the 20% off I won’t cxl unless ZI don’t see any changes on the next month (because I called to cxl at day 12) and then of course exactly at 14 days like the original price they stole my $ ,hijacked my bank card as if I never called to cxl or whatever was agreed. I have been so incredibly lucky because this is the 2nd time I have been bank heisted by these scams artist and my bank has so graciously called it fraud and given me my $ back. The 2nd time I submitted a 3 page letter documenting every step of the way. I can imagine the bank officer didn’t read all but a few lines and got so bored they just replaced the $ in my bank acct that very same day. Oh Yea and I forgot to tell you that all 3 ph. #’s on my bank statement AT THAT POINT EVEN THE PH. # THAT I WAS ABLE TO REACH THE C.S.R. there was no answer no noise not even a busy tone so there was actually literally AT THAT POIUNT ANYONE TO CALL OR TALK TO ABOUT IT no way to contact the company. DESPICABLE!!

  8. I too just fund a charge on my credit card for a full supply – I never did use the free sample which I paid for shipping & not even 10 days they charged my acct – over $190.+ I called the company just now & they gave a return code which after reading all of the above I’m not sure what’s going to happen – the only reason I tried this was because Victoria Osteen suppossedly made the prouct etc.

  9. I was scammed by Avalure. Add that to the list. Called my credit card company and they took the charge off until this can be settled. This happened in July 2017. Haven’t heard anything yet. Something has to be done with these crooks!

  10. Add Envie skin creme to that scam list. I ordered the trial on my phone and the only reason I did was because I thought it was Joanna Gaines company I was ordering from so I trusted it. I received two products after paying shipping and handling and then this past week was charged $96.00 for the product. My bank called me because the charge was on my debit card and they told me that it was a possible fraud charge. They gave me the phone number to call and I called it. They were so rude and uncaring. After twenty minutes of arguing with the representative on the ohone I finally got transferred to a supervisor and was successful in getting back 75.00 of my money but I was still not happy. That $21.00 definitely means a lot more to me than it does to these crooks. I never saw a disclosure on the order form that she kept saying was there and there was nothing in the box with the product informing me it was a 14 day trial.

  11. So sad to say I fell victim through Skin Balance and Advanced Skin after $375 showed up on my credit card statement. Hard lesson learned that if they don’t offer PayPal as a payment option, be aware. Customer service would not help, tried to sell me more product which made me even more mad, if that was possible, told me I agreed to the terms and conditions? It took going back to the site, signing up under a fake name and address to finally find the little gray terms and conditions link. Since this website is listed under the UK, don’t know if I’ll have much luck getting my money back.
I would like to report a positive experience through a BC-based company, Riversol which sent me actual free samples and a follow-up survey to see how my products are working, no surprise fees and a hand-written letter from the owner!

  12. Please add Euphoria to your list! I was actually looking at a post on Facebook about JCPENNEY closing some stores and that they were offering everyone online a small product from their stores due to that. I clicked on the link to see the product and got the free trial size product thing, just had to pay s&h. Once I filled in the payment info it actually included a second product with s&h only being charged. I didn’t see anywhere to remove that product and since it was only $5 I just went ahead and got it believing they were doing this because of the JCPENNEY closures. I never saw anything about a recurring account or automatic billing and cancellation time frame. The terms and conditions they talked about I thought were about the free item I was getting and being responsible for only s&h. Today I got an email saying I’d been charged $92 per product and was shocked. I called their customer service and got the run around exactly as you described in your article. They have said they’ve cancelled my order but won’t allow me to return the product for a full refund even though I haven’t even used it! The best they would do was to refund me 50% of the charger and nothing else was being sent. I also told her how their site had automatically done the order for the second product and she denied that could happen of course! I will be contacting my bank to see if I can reject those charges or not and contacting the BBB!

  13. I was tricked as well!!!! I need a contact number, can someone please give to a number to contact these ****

  14. PLEASE ADD ELITESKIN PRODUCTS, TELEPHONE CALL FROM UTAH. YOU ARE RIGHT TO SAY THAT WE DON’T READ THE FINE PRINT. I DID NOT CHECK THE BOX TO RECEIVE MORE. THE PERSON ON THE LINE SAID SHE WOULD PUT A CREDIT THROUGH. I TOLD HER I WOULD RETURN THE PRODUCT THAT DOES NOT DO ANYTHING ANYMORE THAN MOST MOISTURIZERS. THE PROBLEM IS THAT THEY DON’T SPEAK CLEAR ENGLISH SO THAT YOU CAN UNDERSTAND THEM. SHE THEN LAUGHED AND SAID SHE WOULD STOP SHIPPING ANYMORE AND SEND A CREDIT TO MY CREDIT CARD COMPANY.

  15. Please add Beauty Anti Aging Serum and Blissful revitalizing Moisturizer, and Dermessence Anti Aging to the scam list. The serum (this also includes New Age Neo Hydrate) burned my skin and left scars that lasted for 2 months. Now they are just dry patches. I called “Beauty and tried to cancel but because I didn’t call in time they not only wouldn’t take it back they sent me another one. I am now paying off $400.00 at $20 a month for stuff I can’t use and can’t return. I am on a fixed income. They advertized it as “as seen on SharkTank” I saw that episode which is why I bought it but didn’t remember the name used on Shark tank. I hope there is a class action suit to stop these people with their false advertizing and skin burning and scarring products.

  16. I don’t know what possessed me that day…but I did it & now I’m out of pocket a couple of hundred dollars. I have looked into both “Nouveau Eye Essence” & Tru-Allure Facial Serum” and as you all say, they are making a hell of a lot of money out of people not concentrating. I’m smarter than that – I’ve never done this kind of thing before & never will again. I have cancelled my Credit Card. I have notified my Bank & lodged a dispute but at least the Bank Staff will be more aware that this happening. I just wish when I noticed the first ‘large’ amount get charged that I cancelled my card back then (I really had no idea what it was for – then one day “it clicked”). I’m just hoping that with the last amount deducted that I actually get the product! I’m going to make it last for weeks & get my money’s worth. Good Luck Everyone. Duly Warned. Thank You Sherry McKinley Bousquet for your useful website

  17. Add my (embarrassed) family to the list. My wife ordered via the Facebook Mobile app on iOS. She said that she read all of the terms and conditions carefully, and she’s pretty savvy. Our theory is that the “bad” T&C’s were hidden because the website was intentionally not mobile friendly. I don’t know the exact name that she was scammed under, but she got 2 free samples of a product that was advertised as being Ivana Trump’s company. There was no e-mail sent, but aside from the initial shipping fee the products were $89.95 and $85.95 for the free trial. We didn’t catch it until the second box arrived @ $94.90 and $91.90 for the second shipment ($362.70 total). The packing list says the company is Visalia and lists 855-730-5646 / 855-579-9245. When I called their customer service, they were extremely nasty and insulting, and they refused to allow returns, even of unopened product. They offered up to a 75% discount, but only with an agreement to continue the subscription. Any refund or discount was tied to an agreement to continue with purchases. When I finally got irritated and hung up, they called me back and left nasty messages.

Discover was initially unhelpful, as they took the company’s word over ours and we lost the disputes (after decades as customers). When I threatened to cancel the account they issued a new number and refunded the charges.

  18. gentleskinfast.com and youngskincareforyou.com are one and the same company. When you click on their product trial and give them your credit card number; the consumer is initializing a signed contact meaning this give these companies the authorization to withdraw payments on your credit card account monthly.
$89.95 USD for gentleskinfast.com and $99.95 USD for youngskincareforyou.com monthly unless you call them IMMEDIATELY after you sign up for their trial products. Even when you return mailed packages to these companies; they DO NOT accept returns or refund your monies based on those returns. BUYER BEWARE! A SHADY COMPANY! Because these companies are one and the same; they will double charge you for a sum $189.90 USD each and every month. They scammed me out of $569.90 USD

  19. I would not use this cream as it does not work. I called and cancelled the order and they still charged my card and the hung up on me when i asked to speak to a manager.

  20. I fell for a similar scam with a facebook ad for free samples using Ellen Degeneres apparently using the products which were Euphoria Skin and Eye Creams. I did not knowingly sign up for any subscription, I only signed up for the free samples and received a bill for $92.97 for the eye cream and $92.99 for the skin cream. They then charged me for a consecutive month when I phoned to question the charges and to cancel the order for the latest subscription. They told me the order was canceled but it had already shipped!! I am working with Chase and the Better Business Bureau to report the company and put a stop to this scam and try to get my money back. I’ve been charged nearly $400 for this and haven’t even opened the bottles. :(

  21. myeskin site just scammed me and ellskinglow both for $200 each and I cant find a phone number to contact them for a refund anywhere!

  22. d.The FTC will do something about it. I got hit for a product where I went on line after seeing a tv add. Ordering was confusing, and soon after ordering, I noticed that I was receiving numerous receipts for orders to this company in my email. I immediately called customer service, who put me through the ringer. I canceled my card and then filed a complaint with the FTC. They contacted me later for details and explained that they were doing the research about this one company (who it turns out is listed as several different companies – doing the same thing – most people give up trying to figure it out – which means the company still profits from their scam).

Then recently, I saw another company with a product “no reoccurring charges” and no terms etc… but, I did receive a charge one month later. My bank notified me with a fraud alert. I contacted the company and canceled the order. They made several offers to keep me, but, I declined. I stated that I did not see a clause and that the advertising was specific about “no reoccurring charges”, and I added, that this company did not send me an email receipt or any receipt via USPS. I requested a receipt from them noting that the charges would be dropped along with a statement and no additional charges would be made. They complied.

  23. I wish I had read this article first! I was duped by Ravishing Radiant Skin Care and Glamour Skin Serum. Two days after being charged for the shipping, I was charged for my trial membership at $99.95 and $89.95. I got the phone numbers from my credit card company 1-844-823-5868 and 1-844-498-1599 respectively, but all the credit card company can do is prevent any further charges. I was told that by entering my card number, I was agreeing to their terms and conditions. Of course I never saw that! This is an expensive lesson!

  24. I also ordered on Facebook and I wonder how come they are not held accountable for all these fraudulent companies taking advantage of innocent people??? Has anyone contacted Facebook??

  25. This company is just plain BULLSHIT! They have deducted twice out of my checking account and when I called them they come up with sum bullshit story which is the same that everybody else is complaining about. If anybody knows any other information that will help me get my money back please pass it on. Other than that Im getting all information together to bring this company DOWN!

  26. Add Allumiere to the list of scams. I signed up for what I thought was a free sample. Nope I just got charged $107.12 and $113.36 on my debit m/c. I had to cancel the card. No where did I see that it was a 14 day trial. When the full size product arrived, there was no subscription verbage attached of any contact information.
Now I am watching the $ in pending to see if they have stolen it out of my account. Then I can file a claim. Again I looked in the package and on the products itself and there is no contact information money was taken from e-cosmetics and an international code.

Allumiere was not a great product, it aggravated my rosacea! I wish I had a return address or a # to call them! Looking all over!

  27. Add Skin Opulent and Eye Opulent to the list of scams. I called the only number I could find on their website to cancel my subscription (which I never agreed to as there were no terms or conditions on the site). The only option to cancel my subscription was to use the automated system. I received a confirmation of cancellation via email. Today, I received yet another shipment and a charge to my credit card of $91.90 (approximately half of what I was charged for the first shipment that I chalked up to a costly lesson learned). I called customer service and was told that I had only cancelled one subscription via the automated system and since I had originally ordered two products on the free trial offer, I still had a subscription for one product. I don’t know what they used to determine whether I had cancelled the Skin Opulence vs the Eye Opulence as nothing was stated on the automated system that would lead one to believe it was a cancellation of the entire order except that the Eye Opulance they shipped and assert I still had a subscription for was the more costly product. There was no option on the automated system to choose to cancel only a portion of the subscription and I had no reason not to assume that a cancellation of my account would be anything other than a cancellation of subscription for both products as they were offered together, shipped together, were from the same company, were in the same packaging and were billed together. I am an Attorney and I requested the corporate address to which I could serve their Registered Agent with Service of Process of a Civil Warrant and was told by the CSR that they do not provide any address information. I will be proceeding with a Civil Suit for all of the charges to my Visa with the exception of one shipping fee (I also was charged two shipping fees despite the fact that the two products were shipped in one small box).

  28. Well I have been scammed! I saw an advertisement for Skin Novela. The offer was for a free sample for $4.95. I read on and saw no where did it say a 14 day trial. I always read and search out for those tricks. Sure did not see it. Then it offered a second product which i did not want but it would not let me cancel it. So i thought it’s only about eleven dollars or so, no biggie. When i received the products the only thing in the box was a small paper stating thank you for your order, we look forward to doing business with you. That was the first clue. I did egnore it because as stated before i did not see anything .in the original that stated being inrolled into future orders. Well when i got my Capital ONE statement…SHOCK! I called Capital One immediately. They were very helpful. They called this company now under a different name and i was placed on a conference call. The representative from C-One began by stating the issue. Then CONFRONTED them one this issue. of course they said i agreed to the terms. I told them i saw no such terms when i ordered. ( i really cannot find the original add) She said she would send the agreement. i said no. I wanted my money refunded. She stated they do not do that and if i file a dispute they would not refund. By the way that is a legal manuver of intimidation. They would only refund 35%and the other 50%. i told her this is inappropriate business practices but took the small refund. After the refund is for sure I will change my credit card number and tell C-One to accept no charges from that firm. Then I will decide what action to take. I hope this will help. I made copies of the cancellation that was sent to my e-mail

    • Same thing happened to me just today. It was for Selectskin. And they added that DR Eye Care. No where say something about 14 day trial not even a box that they said I checked about terms and conditions. I swear none of it … just $4.95 for shipping. And I thought ok this was not like other advertisements that you suppose to sign up after 30 days of trial ( which is actually longer trial period) not even on email they send me and when I received the boxes. Today, I got charged on our bank account of almost $200 for both. Called them and they refused to give me a refund and instead offered me 25% up to 75% discount for the next shipping. I told the reps you guys are insane for scamming people.

    • Please everyone add
Neuactive Everlasting youthful skin and Purest Skin Care to the list of scams. I think I’ll see if the USPS criminal unit can investigate these crooks. I would also talk with your local Attorney Generals office about legal action against these low life crooks that are more than likely a funding source for terrorist organizations. They are committing mail fraud and fraudulent interstate commerce.

  29. The latest is Young Glo. Chase Credit notified me of the charge and said that it had been declined. They gave me the number to call and told me to cancel my “subscription” and tell them that it was a one time order. First time the rep acted like she couldn’t hear me so I called again with a different approach. Some bitch said that the charge had been declined and they would submit 2 more time and if it was declined they would turn the matter over to their collections. Ended up hanging up on her. Called back and spoke to another rep and told her to cancel the agreement and she said that she saw that I had called earlier and that it had been canceled and I would receive confirmation by email within 24hrs. We’ll see. Kudos to Chase Sapphfire for alerting me and denying the charge. Sounds like they are on top of this scam company. Take me to collections Bitch!

  30. Please add Rejuvanelle and DermaLab online offers to this list. The “free offer” arrives with no information about the sender, no email or written address – just three international numbers (I’m in Australia) under the heading Universal Media. Evidently somewhere in the small print of this online offer are the terms that you have to contact them in 18 days to cancel the “subscription”or get charged the full amount which is hundreds of dollars. Even if I had known about that how is phoning international part of a free offer? They should be required to follow up the offer acceptance with an email by which the offer can be cancelled.

    • kathy, did you get the number? im also in australia and am within the 18 days and want to cancel but cannot find a number
      cheers

    • hi again Kathy, i had a return address on my DermaLab and it was the shipping company here in NSW aus. still trying to find contact number before trial expires, i did not get confirmation email that i can check terms and cond.
i am very disappionted in myself

      • Hi Pamela, I also have been scammed by Dermalab and Active+. I got in touch with active + and they said I agreed with their terms ect. I did not read anything about their 14 day return. I cannot find any address for Dermalab, so I have cancelled my card. On the packaging it says Worldwide Fulfillment Returns, P.O. Box 7598, MILTON KEYNES MK11 9HT, UK. I also am disappointed in myself.

        • Those of you who got something back are very lucky.
I wrote a few weeks ago stating the exact same thing happened to me.
There was NO information about the 14 day return policy
free trial starting immediately (unless it was purposely hidden) That would not give anyone TIME to know it didn’t work at all.
SO not only is FREE not true, but neither is TRIAL.
No one can tell about something in 7 days.

I was tricked into getting a second product (eye serum) while trying to complete the order the first one for face – because there was no button to DECLINE it.
After making me give my card number for shipping the first product an advertisement to add the eye product appeared saying I could pay another 5.99 for the trial of that too. I did NOT want to try that.
There was a button to choose to Order it and another to Continue BUT nothing that said NO, so I chose Continue and wham! – I was charged. I could not reverse the order.
So either way they charge you for it!!!!!!!!
When the charge for 79.99 and 89.99 appeared on the credit card statement on the evening of the 13th day I knew it was bad.
After going through all the things you described above, I canceled my card, and thought my credit credit card company was going to help but after a few weeks, they say no… Claiming It is not fraud if we give our credit card number out to ANYONE. SO the fact that the companies – all using different names for their worthless products – are fraudulent companies doesn’t seem to matter to them.
I am so angry with this bank – but who has time to change everything to another bank…?

If anyone knows the small claims court idea works – please let us know. I don’t think Facebook should allow merchant thieves like these to advertise on FB!
(I cannot believe I fell for fake photos of Ellen and Oprah using the product)
          EVERYONE > TELL EVERYONE!
NEVER FALL FOR ANY FACE PRODUCTS ONLINE!

  31. Another scam: Do not try to get a free sample from Novellus Naturals. It is the same situation as many described above. I feel bad that I fell for it.

    • SkinNOVELA or EyeNovela has scammed me too for 380 dollars. I DID NOT authorize it, contacted BBB in California and filed a complaint and canceled my bank card. I called customer service at Skinnovela she told me I am an idiot for not reading the fine print, and could cancel it but not until 6 months have past and 1400 dollars has been paid. I am not done for I have a physical address for them and plan to visit them personally, if this issue is not corrected.

  32. Joe scoles, see my reply of April 29/2017. I am not giving up on these thieves, simply put they were not authorized to use my card nor my wife’s name. This is theft plain and simple. All of the shipments came from Abell Mayfair in Toronto, all were returned unopened by our CONDO management, no refund has been offered nor have the returned products unopened been acknowledged by eithe Glowmenow or Abella Mayfair.
I am currently investigating the best areas of jurisdiction to have both of these companies charged with theft of funds from my MasterCard. In fact I would be happy to join a class action against these companies if such can be organized. I think most people are involved because these companies do not allow the full contract to appear. I did not check any box and by providing only my telephone number and card number it forced them to call me back at the time they entered my card for free sample postage, so this provided me an opportunity to tell the representative no to shipments. After this fact they have stolen money from my card. They now tell me my account is closed, well theft is theft and they stole about $275 US from me .and I am going to pursue consequences for these crooks.

  33. SkinBalance is a major scam. Go under a number of names including Abella Mayfair. Referred a friend to them and now I feel like a heel. I did report the to the BBB and to the RCMP fraud squad. Something needs to be done about these crooks, quickly.

  34. I was also scamed I ordered the Select skin Serum .com 1877317-9037
And when I called he was very rude to me would not listen to me told me I should have read the wed site and I did , no were did it say I would be charged
89.00 if I didn’t call to cancel my trial for 4.99 first time try !! I told him it made my face brake out in a rash all over it had to see the Dr he didn’t care talked over me I ask to speak to a supervisor he said he was it . I will try and call back once again to see if I can make sure he canceled it is only got the 35
% off and they would not take back this cream that is unopened two bottles so what an incredible for please help someone .??

  35. Note: See my tips at the end of my scam experience.
PRODUCT: SATIN YOUTH under eye cream – alleged FREE 2 WEEK TRIAL. I knew there would be a recurring fee after the 2 weeks if I didn’t cancel, so I planned to call immed after receiving the trial tube. But rt before I called I noticed they had ALREADY CHARGED MY ACCT $99.00 (on top of the shipping I had already paid).

MAJOR BS: When I called demand the $99 (which I eventually got per below tip #2) back saying I had barely just rec’d the 2 week SAMPLE, the agent informed me that it was NOT A SAMPLE – it was a 2 WEEK TRIAL OF A FULL TUBE! WHAT?! Then he asked me if I had tried the product to which I said; “yes and it did not work and on top of that it smells terrible.” he actually said to me; “Sorry Ma’am but, NO REFUNDS ARE ALLOWED ON OPEN PRODUCTS.
I said: “ARE YOU KIDDING ME RT NOW?! How the hell is someone supposed to TRY the product per your 2 wk trial, IF THEY CAN’T OPEN THE DANG TUBE without being charged $100?!! I said THAT IS NOT A FREE TRIAL so you better explain to me just how I was supposed to try your product without opening it or I am filing complaints with BBB and every scam complaint website I can find!! He said he needed to put me on hold and came back telling me I was fully refunded.

TIP #1: Do a web search for fraud and scams using the product name (and the manufacturer) before you order ANY product from an unknown company – even so called “Free” samples.
TIP #2: If they refuse to give you FULL refund, say that you will be immed. reporting this scam and fraudulent advertisement to the BBB and every other complaint website and social media site you can reach!
TIP #3: Even after you get the refund you shld still go online to report the instance any and everywhere incl warning ppl on social media which will spread the word fast.
The more of us who do that, maybe companies will think twice about misleading consumers in the future.

  36. I do not wish to have anymore deliveries of your bellaacelle age defying serum it broke my face out SORRY!!!!
    Thank You

  37. am having the same problem, I see the one time payment of shipment and I didn’t agree to no other terms and they charge my card twice for $92.+. I will report them to the better business bureau and file a claim. They are such a rip off and I hope more people will get together to fight this

  38. I found out from the credit card company, DesirBrillance phone number is: 888-614-9837. I suggest counseling your card before even calling them as they will recharge you on the fly. It seems they have charged me over 200 bucks after a friend ordered it and then cancelled it on time. She was told it was cancelled. SCAM SCAM Today when I got a little box and the same junky cream, a piece of paper with no dollar amounts on the bill and no phone number. I knew right away. I have been had (for awhile anyway). But I will fight back with the credit card company. Please do cancel your credit card if you can!… Any company with no phone number and a PO box…beware.

    • OH yeah. that same thing happens to me. From skin balance. Beware of this company.!! no phone numbers only P.O. Box. Good thing that they need to list the phone number to my credit card company that’s why I was able to reach them. Hate this. Need to be stop!!!

  39. You can add Nuvella to the list. Cheeky buggers they are. I even emailed them to ask about the terms.. No reply and guess what, a charge on my card!!!!

  40. Purest Skin Care, charged out as Posh Skin Care, is another one. My “free” sample was 0.5 ounces of an “anti aging serum.” The charge that hit was $89 and change.

My bank recommended a new card so they could not continue to attempt to charge me and I thought that was a wonderful idea. After going round and round (and being told I was off their list), I was glad my bank had already started proceedings (charge was still pending when I called them – and they said I’d have to wait until it processed). I’ll fight this tooth & nail and I’m sure it won’t be the only charge they attempt!

    • That’s the very thing happened to me today these sites are scamms and thieves had to cancel my card

  41. Please add Alluring Skin Primer and Renown Skin Care to your list.
This ad showed up on Facebook with their ‘free trisl’ featuring Joanna Gaines of Chip and Joanna HGTV fame. I LOVE them! She would never cheat me, right? Well, I paid their shipping and exactly 14 calendar days later–89.84 and 88.62 on my charge–because the offered me a second eye cream trial for just shipping. Of course, you don’t actually GET 14 days, because it arrives days to a week later, BUT there’s the charge, exactly 14 days later. Called the company to cancel. They offered to send me more–free? I asked, then why they couldn’t just give me THESE in my hand free–‘we can’t do that, because you agreed to the trial’. I called the cc company. It’s a holiday, so no one available to talk to today. I’ll be calling tomorrow.

  42. I am a victim of the free trial offer also, when I call to cancel the trial, they claim that I was not on their records I called deferent numbers they ere no where to be found but they still keep charging my account every month CITI is taking care the dispute .It is a common sense, what a person in their right mind would keep buying every month a face cream , besides it is a sample of small quantity, and they charge $90.95 for it ! the funny part is no delivering. besides I try the eye cream and my eyes got irritated I went to an eye doctor and it cost me, the visit plus the ointment antibiotic etc. a large bill
IT IS A SCAM Law & Banks should go after them.

    • I HOLD CITI BANK RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CHARGES BECAUSE WHILE on DISPUTE THEY LET THE SCAM GO ON CITI BANK ADMITS IT IS A SCAM AT THE SAME TIME THEY SAY IS LEGAL AND YOU KNOW WHY BECAUSE FOR EVERY TRANSACTION THE BANK GETS 5%

    • “Should You Avoid All Free Trial Skin Care Offers?”
Congratulations for your article and your site . It is obvious that no one can avoid to fall in their trap they are professional legal criminals’ As for the open dispute cases , I talk on the phone many times and i manage to solve one out of eight cases in the amount of close to $180.00 they credit my account and now hold your breath! !!!!!!!!!!!!!CITI BANK reverse the charges back to them !!!
and REQUEST AN EXPLANATION WHY I DESERVE THE CREDIT1111

  43. Pure Obsession Skincare is also a big scam. Charged $4.95 and 5.99 for two creams and then $87 and $89 a month later for a subscription never realized I signed. Refused a return.

    • Me too – I am livid. I think they use invisible ink in their disclosures. The products smell terrible and do nothing. I’m mostly angry at myself!

  44. Hydrolie and Vella Visage also use this hidden fee structure for an auto sign up for monthly $99 products.

  45. Please add the suppliers of SKIN BALANCE Advanced Anti-Wrinkle Cream and ADVANCED SKIN Anti-Wrinkle Serum to your list of scammers to avoid. As Tina explained above, the “free trial” begins on the day the products are ordered, not upon the date of their receipt. And then, unbeknownst to the customer, s/he is enrolled in an autoship program, and the prices charged are exorbitant ($198.56 and $201.49 per product). The customer support team in the credit card division of the bank I deal with has been very helpful, and a representative from there immediately contacted the company on my behalf and demanded that they email confirmations that my “subscriptions” had both been cancelled, which the beauty supply company representative “John” did immediately. Nonetheless, I am still wrangling with the company that supplies these products because I was charged shipping on four items rather than the two received (the cream was duplicated), as well as the full price for the supposed second tube of serum, despite not receiving either the trial sample nor the first tube of it on the “autoship.” A company representative named “Irene” phoned to offer her apologies and claim that there was nothing she could do. She would not transfer me to a manager, saying that everyone in the company used the same system, and that it was a breach of privacy to provide the name of a manager or supervisor that would have the authority to resolve my complaints. She also refused to provide the company’s mailing address, claiming again that it would be a breach of both the company’s policy and privacy to do so. According to her, my only recourse is to email the company’s customer support department, which I have already done at least four times now, to no avail, or to phone the company’s customer support line, presumably to be offered their profuse apologies once again and have someone else reiterate that there is nothing that the company can do. They will neither rescind the charges for the serum that was never received nor send the two tubes of the product.

    • This company got me too. For 2 months totalling near $800 Cdn! My bank BMO managed to get one month restored back to my credit card but I had to eat the itpriginal ‘free trial’ a $499 big lesson. Unbelievable!! I’m a senior in a pension. They are ruthless.

  46. Please add Skin Novela and Eye Novela to your list – same exact scam that just cost me 200.00 dollars plus shipping for the “free trial”. Not an easy lesson to learn and my budget is completely blown. I called to cancel my subscription but was told no refunds as I had agreed to the terms and conditions on the web site. I only received the product 10 days ago not 14, same M.O. as the companies you list above. These people are horrible and probably raking in the money hand over fist. Hope my account really was cancelled. Boy do I feel like an idiot. Hoping Karma will catch up with them soon.

  47. Please ADD: DesirBrillance to your list of SCAM ARTISTS. They sent the original trial order with 2 products in the box (DesirBrillance Revitalizing Moisture Pallet and DesirBrillance Ageless Eye Revitalizer) but then continued to ship on an auto basis. They didn’t include both product in subsequent deliveries but charged for them anyway. I have cancelled the credit card. I hope this works as I just received a statement for $523.32. Good thing this is the first and only charge on that card. We disputed the charge so we will need to wait and see if the reverse charges. I didn’t realize there would be an auto order. There is no contact information on the packing list.

  48. Cellogica is another company that should be added to your site. They offer a free sample of their day and night cream for a small $4.95 shipping fee. Then they offer you another “free”sample of their rapid eye serum. however when you click on terms and conditions tab you get nothing. So you think that you are getting all of this for free. NOT since you cannot view the T&C you are not realizing that this is only a 14 day trial of the product and that you will be put on auto delivery and charged $99.95 for your “free” sample and all other auto shipments. I called my credit card company and was told to call Cellogica and ask for a refund, which is exactly what I did, first I was offered a discount of 50% off for lifetime auto shipment which would have been alright if the Eye serum had not caused skin irritation, so then I was offered a 30% refund and I said no, so was then offered a 50% refund and was told that was the best that they could do since it was already billed and paid out to them. I told the representative that I would not accept anything less than a full refund of the $99.95 the product is useless to me if it causes irritation to my skin. I was told to hold for a few minutes after which the rep came back to me with a full refund that should be credited to my card in about 3-7 business days which she gave me a confirmation code for. I will see if they follow thru, if not I will be taking further action , better business bureau or small claims. Oh and I was told to keep free sample to which I replied no thank you I will be throwing it away. I mean I just got through explaining that this stuff burns my skin why on earth would I want to keep it?

  49. Hi, can anyone let me know a number to call to cancel Love Moisturizer and Find Youthful Beauty? I called 1888-927-2877 and there was no number with the packaging. UGH. so mad at meself….

  50. Le’Toile Skin Cream and Illustra Eye Care Serum needs to be added to this list. They offer samples for small shipping costs of $4.99 then after 14 days charge you $98.09 for auto charge/shipment—– scam.

  51. Hello. I took the bite at a couple for these FREE anti-wrinkle skin care products. Filled out the form, but did not complete the next step (credit card info). Within an hour, I received a call from a sales agent at the company. After a chit chat about why I hadn’t completed the order for the FREE trial size miracle cream, I asked the sales rep WHY I could not find a website for the product. After being put on hold, the rep came back with no answer to my question, but another lovely chit chat about completing the form for the fabulous offer. Oh yes, he/she also said they could take my credit card info over the phone. I then said that I wanted the free product, but also wanted a website to visit in order to submit my own order when needed. Again, he had no answer for me.

So without going to the next step, they will call you; then you can have a conversation. Believe me, your interest in the FREE product will be squelched.

  52. RMA IMAGE REVIVE PRODUCTS… This product did not do what it was advertised to do and after receiving an authorized return number # 68A3206BEE81 back on Nov.24, 2016 to return the unused product and get our full refund of $154.35, they never returned our money. Then they tried to say they would only give back a certain amount of money and not all they took. Now I say “TOOK” because their little scam is not right up front but hidden as they help themselves not to the amount of money they offer the product at around $15.00, but what they actually charged our credit card for several days later, $154.35. We contacted them again on January 17, 2017 on February 16th, 18th, and 20th of 2017. One individual we spoke with said his name was Mr. Kyle Reed a senior manager and a supervisor. These people later used the excuse they did not receive the return within the allowed time so we do not get a refund. But I do not believe that to be true, as the mail does not take that amount of time. These are low-life scammers as far as I am concerned and I intend to publish this exact paragraph everywhere possible to let others become aware of their rip off.

  53. Yes, they got me too. I have paid for the legitimate charges on our cards, deducted the cash rewards they have confiscated and cancelled the cards. Let us see if they can collect the $206.47 scam and the $64 cash reward?

  54. I was scammed by Glowmenow, but illegally, I cancelled via a telephone call from the company as I did not complete any form, just entered a card number, during the ensuing conversation the representative of Glowingmenow was told by myself, no nothing but the sample or cancel and refund my postage to my Master card. She said well everyone adds an order to the sample, again I said no, just cancel. Now this was within hours after my master card was entered with only the postage amount $5.45 already entered. This cancellation was ignored, I am out $274.74 usa$. These scammers billed my card to my wife’s name knowing women are easier to scam, my wife never contacted them thus they are also thieves. All orders were returned or lost in the mails, I received only the sample product called Abella Mayfair. Master card was no help, did nothing just blamed me for not reading the contract, so you can expect your credit card company to aid and abet these thieves rather than be helpful. I was duped, stay away from unsolicited emails and never accept or order a free sample from the Internet. I sent a note to Market Place, hope they do a program about these scammers and thieves.

  55. I had the same issue also…when called the company at 1-800-373-8717 they just tried selling me more stuff and explained the terms and conditions I agreed to. They also offered discounts starting at 25% and going up to 75% when I kept offering to return the product for a full refund. They stated I couldn’t do that since I was passed the 14 day free trial and it was for product I already had and was used. They did cancel my subscription though. I then emailed the company Diamond Solutions Inc. explaining to them that I had inadvertently signed up for the auto shipments totaling $189 in 2 charges. I pointed out that there was no ‘terms and conditions’ box to check but after researching it I found an ad that had the terms and conditions at the very bottom of the page I had to scroll down to. Easily missed since usually the box to check is when entering payment information. I then had no problems with them emailing me shortly after and refunding the total amount with email confirmation of the refund to take place in 7-14 days. So we will see what happens. Hard lesson learned, very disheartening and beat myself up over it but there is a chance to refund! Just check the terms and conditions for company email for returns or google the company stated on the product for contact info. I’m assuming different companies are involved. Mine was for the Bisou anti age cream and eye serum. Good luck!

    • Fake news on Google Enhanced Centurylink ISP. “Why Melania wlon’t leave NY” then redirected to “full story” link. Reason is Melania must help her NY based skincare business. Photos showing fake endorsements form Melania, Ivanka, Helen bonam Carter, katie Couric, Barbra Walters, and even Michele Obama. Link to buy take you form for credit card. The product is CALYPSO. The initial photo of Melania is worst photo I have seen probably because they are also posting CNN logo. Used credit card then few hours later went to card site and discovered the S&H charge of $4.95 had been increased by $4.90 and $2.49 no explanation given Charge was traceable to Dermabond which appears to be located in Valley Village, CA. Other products sharing the same material are Bella Serata, Lumanere, and Clair Renewal. This latter entry calls the product Clair Renewalso in the body of the ad showing they are creating these names so fast they are forgeting how to spell them. Go to Lumanere reviews on faxebook to see how these outfits hit your credit card. I killed my credit card same day as the order. There never was terms and conditions posted on the site. This may be more than simple scam. Maybe it is parted of a effort to cast a shadow on Trump

      • So sorry you had this experience, Donald. Lucky you cancelled your card promptly. The companies doing these scams will never actually stop until we can counter with ads exposing them, and this may be impossible to do. I appreciate everyone sharing their experiences, and special thanks to the one who started this discussion. I feel a bit at a loss when I see so many more people sharing this bad experience. Encourage people to do what I should have done initially – check online for reviews or complaints before committing to anything. I for one will stick to brand names I recognize, and will no longer be tempted by a “Free Trial” for anything.
These companies use any and all celebrity names to bait the hook. I’ve seen other prominent peoples’ names with fake news leading to these offers, and it’s been going on for a long time. Perhaps the credit card companies can help; after all, they’re inconvenienced when people have to cancel their cards for this reason.

  56. Derma Devine or Dermadevine runs the same “Free 14-day Trial” scam!
I’m out a total of $94.90. And have been unable to find any contact information other than some phone numbers for so-called “Customer Service” representatives.

    • Watch out for web sites like Bravo. The scams always associate with a famous person FAKE! Such as MTrump,Christy Brinkley etc..I just noticed a new one. Most have the same ad picture. Google skin cream and check different ones. It’s the same picture of lady.just different label names on the same disigned bottle. I think it’s all 1 scam company. Do not order!

      • ADD YS CREAM AND INHERENT BEAUTY. THEY FOLLOW THIS ARTICAL EXACTLY. CANCELLED CREDIT CARD. NOTIFIED CARD COMPANY OF SCAM, RETURNED THEIR FUTURE SHIPMENTS UNOPENED. YOU BUY ONE AND A 2ND COMPANY ALSO SHIPS , ONE FROM FLA AND THE OTHER CA. BEWARE

  57. Add Revived Youth to your list of scammers,

You can try to click on terms and agreements but it will not take you to the page . Only once you submit your credit card info- :/

  58. Add me to the list of suckers – mine was with SkinContour and EyeContour, aka Flawless Skin and Juvacell Pro Eye. Target sent me an email saying that my customer points entitled me to these “free” samples. Just got off the phone with Skincontour people (future orders cancelled plus 50% discount), my credit card company – I supposedly agreed to the terms, which I don’t beleive, and Target, who took down the information but little else. I am upset at Target for offering this to me as a free gift, when in fact it was a scam, but I am most angry with myself. Please add these con artists to your list of offenders. If you look into their history, you will find multiple names, multiple phone numbers and multiple email addresses over the years, as well as a website that tells you nothing.

  59. I’m another victim. This was for the Select Skin (877) 456-9065. Everything said above is basically the same experience I had, but I’ll outline my experience.. Note that in between each of the interactions below, I expressed why I wanted my money back, and felt I was repeating my…which I was!
-Called and got a woman who said she was the only one there and there was no one else to talk to
-After my insistence at talking to a supervisor, I was told they were all in a meeting (no one else there?)
-Then she offers me a free bottle if I don’t call back again
-Then I was transferred to a supervisor who tells me there’s nothing he can do
-The he offers me two bottles. At $90 per bottle ($180 for the two he was going to give me, just give me back my $90)
-Then he offers me a 35% refund, that’s all he can give me
-Then he offers me a 50% refund, that’s the max he can do
-The he offers me 75% and I took it. He told me that he would not go any more and that he was trying to provide good customer service and that he could’ve just hung up on me.. Really?
I was boiling at this point, and I’m still mad that I’m out $22.47. Not as much of a loss as some of you experienced, but I shouldn’t be out a penny. If you search Select Skin Therapy Reviews, you will see how people posted negative reviews. If you click on one of them, it takes you to a page where the subject of the posted is in bold print, below that a date and it says “admin”. I’m guessing there “admin” deleted the negative post because if you continue reading, all you see if how great their product is. What an awful experience.

  60. I am a victim also. I cancel one of the credit cards that I had put it on and Chase was very helpful with that one. They called me and the middle of the nite but that was okay they stopped the bill but the other credit card I used they said they could not help me. That was barclaycard. I won’t be using them again. So I have called customer service many times. They did cancel it but since I had to pay the 200.00 on this credit card I feel I should get the product. This all happen in February 2017 and I still have not got the product. I have called them and called them and they tell me it has ship. It should be there the next day. I am trying to find a BBB in their area so I can file a big comp;aint.

  61. do not order free trail of skinfresh md IT A SCAM STAY AWAY. HOW DO I GET MY MONEY BACK ?

    • I fell for this scam. The skin cream company has since changed their name. They change their product name every 20 or 25 days. They say Free Trial, so I ordered 2 items, was charged postage and delivery, and then I was are tricked into a subscription that was very expensive. When I saw the charge on my credit card for over a hundred dollars, I called the company to cancel but was told it was too late. Said it would normally cost me 50 bucks to cancel the subscription, but they would allow me to cancel one of them for $30.
Because I felt so stupid, I called my credit card company to contest and possibly decline any payment to those scammers. So glad I called. The credit card company rep told me that the US attorney general already has a list of these scammers and we are protected by Consumer Protection law 2007: They are guilty of false advertising: 1. using the People magazine masthead at the top of their ad, and 2. using several movie stars who had not given them permission to use their names/images in any way. Also, the secondary contract content was in fine print and totally a different message (free) from the major big buzz flashy ad on the webpage. Those two things are against Law 2007. The credit card rep was very understanding and said I was absolutely right and she began immediately to contest all charges. My credit card company had NOT paid the company immediately but held the payment in pending because the skin cream creeps were already on the Scam list according to the US attorney general. We can fight back.

  62. Core Skin is another scammers. I was a victim and won’t refund my money and I did not see their terms that I need to cancel any subscription within 14 days. It is just a sample and now my card was charged $180.00 and they do not want refund, the phone number is not working and the other one phone number, the customer service is very rude. Don’t order CORE…

  63. Watch out for Kyoku! I signed up for a “free trial” on their website and they are trying to charge me for more the “90-day supply” that I was sent.

So I saw an advertisement on Facebook for an acne treatment for men and decided to check it out. The company is called Kyoku and it said that they were offering products for $1.95 so that I could test and review the products. I looked the company up to see if they were a scam or not and it seemed fine because I saw that they had some products on Amazon and some other websites. So I signed up for the offer, where I accepted to the “terms and conditions”, and received the products after 3 weeks of ordering them. Seven days later I saw a charge of $195 to my card and was confused. I checked their website to see why I was charged and Kyoku has hidden in their agreement that after 28 days of receiving the product, a $195 would be charged, which I didn’t see when I signed up for the offer. They were able to hide this well in their terms and conditions when I signed up for the offer. So I called Kyoku because I was charged $195 only seven days after receiving the product and demanded a refund at the moment thinking that I would be able to cancel my card so that they would not charge me again. After receiving the refund, I canceled my card and thought that was the end of that.

A few days ago, I got an email stating that Kyoku attempted to charge my card for the products that I had received, and that the charge didn’t go through, so they are now going to send me to collections if I don’t pay $195, which is obviously bad for my credit. I’m not sure what to do at the moment and I would hate to have to pay $195 for these products.

Also, if it means anything, the company also has a rating of “F” from the Better Business Bureau.

Please let me know if anyone has advice or comments.

      • Add Allura and Allusiv. They ripped me off for $170.
I’m still arguing with my credit card company that they should refuse to do business with companies that obviously intend to steal your money.

        • Yes you should. I had to pay $200.00 on my credit card company. They said I would have to deal with the company. Believe me I do not use that card anymore. Hard lesson to learn. Now my Chase Credit co close my card and gave me a new one. So I closed my blaycard by apple. Ne never use them again. I called the company and told them I wanted the product if I had to pay for it. Well here it is two months later still have not got it but they keep saying I should get anytime.

        • Mine is fighting back on my behalf. Decline and seek to deny payment based on Consumer Protection 2007. We have rights. False advertising, in that they used well-known magazine names and popular movie star images to entice, and their fine print is totally different in nature and intent than they original big message they throw out there. They are guilty.

        and
        PURINOVA eye cream 1-877-220-9831
I just canceld my debit card so they can’t charge me at all …. I reported it lost, and ordered a new card. They have NO access to my account/$ now. JERKS! And I fell for it.

  64. I was just scammed by Allusiv eye cream & Allura anti aging serum. They were advertised on the Weather channel website, & supposedly endorsed by Meryl Streep who at age 67 said these products saved her career, & claiming they were featured on Dr. Oz. Having just turned 69, I fell hook, line & sinker. I thought “what a great deal: a 30 day supply & I only have to pay shipping & handling.” I never saw anything about cancelling & returning within 14 days. 2 days ago I got my charge card bill, & in addition to the shipping charges, I was charged $85.95 for one product & $89.95 for the other. When I called the phone numbers listed after these charges on my card, I was told they were valid sales, that I agreed to their terms & conditions which I never saw, & that I agreed to keep receiving & being charged for these products unless I cancelled, which I am now doubtful they did, after having read the above information. The Allura is OK, but certainly not worth $90.00, but the Allusiv burned & blistered the tissues around my eyes. I had no idea that ads on the weather channel site were not vetted & reliable. In addition I never received an email reviewing my order & charges like other online purchases, which I didn’t take note of at the time. When I cancelled over the phone I was also told I would receive a cancellation confirmation email, which I have not as yet. What can I say? I was duped & it might not be over yet.

    • Yes, this is the same company that scammed me under the name of opulent. Please everyone, do not order any face creams online. They use several names for their product. But, they will always associate the it with a famous name. That’s how we can tell. Do not order! Beware!

    • I think these may be the same two items that were endorsed by Joy Behar. I never saw anything about the
14 day period. I was surprised and upset by the charges. My credit card spokesperson helped me get some money back, but I still paid quite a bit for a “free sample.”

  65. DO NOT ORDER RADIX DERMA CARE – ****SCAM******* they will run with your money. Spoke to

  66. DO NOT ORDER RADIX DERMA CARE – ****SCAM******* they will run with your money. Spoke to
Alex B. ID38225, Supervisor, didn’t do one thing to assist. Horrible customer service no refund!

  67. Add Revyve Skin Care to your list. The free trial of two products cost immediate shipping charges and then $82.99 and $86.99 were billed to my credit card on Day 14 – before I had a chance to even try either of the products.

  68. On 1221/16 I agreed to pay shipping and handling for the Elysian Brand free trial offer. It was on of several offers for different products on a choose one to get free samples offer. The package arrived just before 12/31/17. With the holiday I did not open it until 1/2/2017. I used it twice and my face broke out in a red rash. On the 6th I called the company at the only number I had and told the representative what it did. He told me I would receive a refund. I had only spent about $4.95 but it sounded good to me. I am da retired nurse on a limited income and I have Interstitial Pulmonary Fibrosis, a terminal disease. I use Oxygen 24 hours a day. My medications are above $300.00 a month. I also have Diabetes and am on insulin. Needless to say, I am to avoid stress. I can do very little without becoming very short of breath. What does this company do? They send a second shipment after charging me $200.00 in January which they did not refund. On 2/6/17 they again charged my card for $200.00! I immediately called them. They gave me return numbers and it cost me $8.00 to send that shipment back. They credited my card for a little over $100.00. I caled them back and asked where the $200.00 from January was and the remaining $99.00 from February. Then they did a song and dance about how they could not refund Januarys because it was 14 days. It was not 14 days. They are to issue a check for the remaining $99.00 from February. I have yet to see it. I call them weekly and will continue to do so. They are liars, cheats, and thieves who pray on the feeble. I can be a president nag and will be. I can’t pay my electric bill. There must be some entity out there that can stop these pirates so they don’t hurt otherrs.

  69. Nice writing , I was enlightened by the insight ! Does anyone know if my business would be able to get access to a template Lynden Commercial Invoice form to type on ?

    • you can contact THE ATTORNEY GENERAL’S OFFICE IN WASHINGTON D.C. THEY GOT YOUR INVOICE FORM JUST WAITING FOR YOU TO CALL.

  70. Stay away from Illum Anti Aging Skin Cream and Illum Anti-wrinkle Eye Serum this is a BIG SCAM!! They told me I only had to pay 4.95 for shipping was charged total of $180.00 they will not reimburse my money this month even though I called them to cancel! AND THE CREAMS ARE AWFUL!! UNBELIEVABLE! I’ve learned my lesson I will NOT order on line again!!

    • Hi, I wanted to let you know that I did the same thing with them. I put 2.99 on my debit card for “free” samples on 3/10 and did not get it until the 17th. On the 24th they took out of my account 93.80 and 94.77
I almost had a stroke! I just got off the phone 1-877-889-0538 spoke with a supervisor Alyssa and demanded my money back. We argued until I got back 75%
My bank was also made aware of this and I will watch my checking account daily! Good luck!

    • What number did you call to cancel? I need to call them as well. I may just need to cancel my card. Sorry we both fell for the same scam.

    • Like you all – I fell for the free trial fraud with photos of Ellen and Oprah using the product called ILIUM. When I tried to order one free trial, the website tricked me into accepting the upsell of the free trial of “eye serum” although I was trying to decline that add on offer.
Now I am paying for BOTH FULL PRICE OF 89.99 and 79.99 each.
I am so upset over this, I am physically ill.

There was NOTHING visible about returning it within 14 days or having to pay full price because they make it impossible for you to see.
There is nothing about it in the box that comes either.
I call ed on day 12 and they made sure not to tell me what to do. No supervisor there, so said she would call me the next day. Nope.
They refuse to refund ANY of after calling and insisting on a supervisor twice. The first time I called was only a few days after I got the product and was told I could not send it back for a refund if it had been used. How can you TRY it if you can’t use it??? I called my bank and canceled that card and the bank said they would help. Today I got a letter saying Sorry- they can’t help because I authorized it – but as you all know – I didn’t actually authorize it. I authorized a 5.95 free-trial.
Called the company again and after 45 minutes of reasoning with them – still nothing.
I asked the woman how she could continue doing this job that she knew was fraud.

We must be able to do something to stop these frauds who prey on people who can’t afford much anyway and then end up losing a week’s income over two jars of worthless face cream.
The 170.00 is going to be a hardship on me and my ability to take care of my elderly mother with Alzheimer’s but they didn’t care about that.
They are ruining it for other legitimate companies because I will never order from the internet or TV again.

  71. This is great information…I just battled with BISOU for a refund. Where else can we go and report these companies?

  72. I got scammed with aging cream products

just like all the people above

still disputing over charges of 89.79 and 87.97 with credit card company

is there anything we can do legally?

    Can FTC assist

    • Watch out for Radiant Essence Plus and Essensu Eye cream. They claim to reward you with samples for cost of Shipping & Handling for conducting survey (husband thought he was being sweet getting me this stuff), the box comes with only a packing slip and no mention of # of days trials but credit card was charged S&H. I didn’t use the stuff because I have rosacea and am on chemo which can really make your skin sensitive to lots of things. I cancelled credit card, tried the more than 10 phone numbers I was given starting with the ones on the bottles. All phone reps denied finding an account for us and then gave me another phone number to try. Every phone number played the same classical music, every rep at each number asked the same questions in the same order. I disputed the charge on my credit card before cancelling it. I will take anymore product received unopened to USPO and return to sender after Post Office witnesses and verfies send back. I will dispute everything these people send. And if that doesn’t help Lifeloc said to call them back and they will see what else can be done.

  73. my wife did not read the terms and conditions so in the end before i could cancel the subscriptions to the two products we were taken for around $800 for 4 measley ounces of cream it has caused alot of problem in our household and now have to cancel our up coming cruise due to the huge bill..the operators show no compassion whatsoever and they will not refund me for an unopened package..this experience is one i will never forget!

  74. Does anyone have a phone number for a skin care product called Clinians Antirughe Giorno…could also be from a conpany called Mirato Landiona. I’m expecting it to be a scam..as I signed up for a free trial. No information came with package and can’t find anything on the web for it.

    Much appreciated

  75. Revitalize Beauty Care. What a farce! Scammed me for 180.00. Exactly what everyone here is talking about! Can’t find the company name or Phone # on the Visa bill because charges come from somewhere in California. Horrible customer service people who tell you that you are at fault and unable to read! Social Media is so big, I am telling all my facebook friends. Those of us over 50 are probably the ones getting sucked into these scams, as 20 somethings don’t have wrinkles. Shame on the ruthless, thieving dogs that acquire wealth by literally STEALING from the elderly! I owned businesses for many years, and customer satisfaction was always # 1 for me. Unlike these companies, I kept the same name and locations for many years. I wish the credit card companies would just cut these guys off! Never order RevitalizeBeautyCare products.

  76. Illum Cream – Natural Anti Aging Skin Care | Claim A Free Bottle Today

Another total scam … I was ripped off for $95.00. It took me hours to get through their “customer service” to cancel the auto shipments. I just hop that it is really cancelled. I will find out in about a month.

  77. eva – yes I am also a victim. Products: Facial Revive and Invigorate. No proper return address, incredible small print on product. I was taken for about $530 before I realized fully what was going on – my credit card only comes once a month. All I agreed to was a sample for $6.40- stupid me. I wont go into details because it happened exactly as is described by supplement police. I also was not aware they charged me for two products instead of one…changed my credit card immediately when I realized the scam. Learnt my lesson.

  78. SCAM…. BEWARE
I got introduced to this company through some online promotions.
The promotional product was free ( supposedly) and you pay only for shipment. Then you get charged $98.41 monthly.
Obviously I wouldn’t have bought the ( free ) product, had I noticed there was monthly payment.
I didn’t receive the shipment. I was only sent email re: The promotional (free) product. I have never received any email from that company notifying me that they have sent me any products or that I was being charged for $98.41 monthly. I got a call by my credit card re: possible fraudulent activities from this merchant. However I was already charged last month for that amount.
I called three of their customer service reps. They started talking to me about their products and how good these products are. I asked them for refund and the first one disconnected right away. The second one offered me a refund for 45%. The third one offered me 25% then 45% then 50% refund for charging me for products that I have not received. Obviously the customer service reps were rude. They disconnected the call without even saying bye.
I am disputing the previous charge with my credit card company. I thank them for noting the fraudulent activity.
It is interesting that the company La Skincare gets the charges under different company name LALASerum!
    Beware of this company.

  79. Natural Eyes and Natural Skin just scammed me the same way with their free trial. I do not remember seeing this mess in their terms and conditions.
I told him I had not opened either bottle and would return them.
He said no it was past the 14 days and refused to give me the company’s address.
    It is “against their protocol.”
    So I’m out $200
Can’t believe people can work at a place like that in good conscience.

        • You can add Novellus Naturals to the list, I have been trying to call the number I found for them and all it does is mess with my phone, it does not ring thru. I am like everyone else, I can’t believe I fell for a scam………… If anyone has a number that I can get to cancel the order, I would be grateful.

    • I just got scammed also. Add L’Etoile Anti Wrinkle Complex . and Illustra Eye serum to the list of scammers! Just got my Credit card statement yesterday and they have a charge of $89.29 from Ilia Skin Cream out of LA, California. I don’t know where that name came from as it was not on any websites. I managed to find 3 phone numbers, to try tomorrow about cancelling. I don’t remember reading any terms or conditions on their trial page. I had to pay S & H on both products, even though I didn’t order the Illustra Eye serum. They just threw that one in and charged me a separate S & H. Their trial page did not state anything about automatic shipments. The $89.29 transaction was posted on 02/20/17, and I have not received any other orders just yet! I’m sure I’ll be getting another one soon. Probably too late to cancel that one, but hopefully I can cancel without too much drama!!! Looks like I may have to cancel my credit card! Lesson learned.

  80. Add ‘Nuvella’ skin serum to this list. Immediately noticed the shipping cost was double than he amount specified & then there was a small additional charge the next day. When I phoned to enquire, it was a ‘handling’ charge. Thank goodness I had read this forum. I asked if this was going to be an automatic renewal program, which it was going to be if I didn’t cancel within a certain time period. I’m always concerned about scams & had ensured there was no small print about automatic renewal when I placed the order; obviously there are other ways to get around it! I hung up & immediately cancelled my credit card – I’m not taking any chances! Thank you for all your comments as I acted quickly because of them!

  82. Beware of Free Trial IMAGE REVIVE AND FACE REPLEN placed my order for free trial they got me for $450. Scammers and bunch of LOSERS – all I can say is what goes around comes around.

  83. Others to add:
    Derm Dazzle 800-774-4902
    Skin Lustrous 800-705-8796
    Wrinkle Dissolve 800-810-4796

  84. Has anyone had any experience with Image Revive cream? I saw a lot of hype about it, but had misgivings when I saw that the order page was exactly like the others we`ve been discussing. Furthermore, even though they advertise a 30-day trial, they will charge your card 15 days from your order date. Their conditions are even harsher than some of the others. Obviously, I won’t order under those conditions, even if I had confidence in the product. Please share if you’ve had a positive experience with this company. Here are their terms:

TERMS AND CONDITIONS: By placing an order, you will pay USD$4.95 Shipping & Handling to receive a 30 day supply. You will also be automatically enrolled in our membership program. The program will charge you USD$109.79 on the 15th day of your order date for a monthly supply and USD$109.79 every 30 days thereafter until you cancel. You can cancel at any time by calling 855-246-7221. If you cancel before the 15th day of your order date, you pay the USD$4.95 S&H of your 30 day supply. If you cancel after the 15th day of your order date, you shall pay for the 30 day supply plus any future supplies without refund.

    • Stay away from them and face replenish.
They finally grace me only 50% back of my visa payment for cancelling horrendous experience. Haven’t really noticed a difference.

      • I`m sorry about your experience, Val, and thanks so much for sharing. I will definitely be staying away from such companies. I hope others take heed. We somehow have to let these companies know that their business practices are unacceptable; we can only convince them by hitting where it hurts – their bottom line.

    • I’m in the process of trying to get a number to cancel my “what I thought” was a free trial sample I received one week ago. My mastercard already has a charge of $300 on it for the 2 trial products. I have tried 5 different numbers included the customer service number inside the box. All disconnected. If anyone has a recent number please forward to me. Thank you.

      • Your credit card company has a number someplace in order to accept the charges. It may show up on your statement. Or call mastercard.

  85. CORE skincare – was invested by Shark tank! They use the same 14-day scam! I threatened to call the Attorney General. They offered me a 50% refund. I said that I also know several websites where I am spreading the word. They offered me 75%. I said that they should be ashamed of trying to profit off people who click through such “terms and conditions”. It may be the customers responsibility to read these, but it is a scam to not provide a refund when an error has been made and the customer is not satisfied or does not want the product. I repeated that I will be in touch with the Attorney General “today”. They provided a refund.
DO NOT give in. And shame on Shark Tank.

    • Do you mean COAL skincare? Or is CORE one of the many names given to the same product in the same packaging? I checked: they were never on Shark Tank. Even that is a fraud. Paid shipping for a trial sample. Another trial sample was also “offered” with no way to remove it from the order. Got charged the agreed shipping, and received samples. The next month an outrageous charge on my account, but product received. Also no mention of future autoship/price in original ad. They have apparently “proven” to my bank that the charge is legit.
      The fight is on!

  86. Add this too
Oasis Demassence & Oasis Instant wrinkle Remover.

My wife order a free try $4.99 shipping got charge twice $87.00 & 89.73 from two company on the bill
Trn.ALLURINGSKINGROUP 877-7214709. When call this number no service.
HAVEN SKIN GROUP 877-456-3750. This alway on hold, when answer said computer down will call you back, but never did. I told my wife to call them every day until resolve or we will visit the office personally.
When I check the order site there was no fine print or term on any where.

I able the find the company address online

    What a scam.

    • They were recently named Opulent. Several other names as well. Please see my comment above. Also, let’s keep the name change list going.

      • Their new “partner” in this scam is Vibraskin – I got offers from both Vibraskin and Alluringskin and both tried to set up recurring charges but I cancelled the card and told the card it was fraud.

  87. SKIN BALANCE and ADVANCED SKIN
I fell for the same thing, these 2 items showing up on my credit card statement at $199 and $190.
I called in saying I wanted a refund, as I had cancelled soon after I had received the products.
The first guy I talked to would do nothing, as he said I had agreed to their terms. I told them they could expect to hear from my credit card company.. Didn’t seem to bother him at all.
I didn’t give up. Next day I talked to a new guy who had the nerve to tell me I had cancelled my autoship account 12 hours too late. I said no, I had cancelled on time. I had emails from them to prove to him (although in a haste I had deleted them earlier because I knew I had cancelled on time)
He said he would need proof I had cancelled and I told him he could just look at the cancellation emails they had sent me, I didn’t need to send him anything. He didn’t like that, and didn’t know quite what to say.
He said the most they could do is give me a little itty bitty refund. I said firmly, no that will not do.
I said I need a FULL REFUND right now.
Then I gave him 2 choices of who he would like to call him, my credit company or the FBI.
He put me on hold a minute, came back and said ok they would make an exception in my case.
In a minute I had 2 emails stating I was getting a full refund.
So if I don’t get the refund in a day or two, I have the proof in the emails that they said they would. (And I won’t delete these!!!)
So… DONT GIVE UP GOING AFTER THESE FRAUDSTERS!
I THINK IT HELPS TO NOT TALK RUDELY OR ANGRILY AT THEM, BUT STATE VERY CLEARLY AND FIRMLY THEY WILL NOT GET AWAY WITH THIS, and THERE WILL BE AUTHORITIES AFTER THEM IF THEY DONT COMPLY.
AGAIN, BE PROFESSIONAL AND SERIOUS, NOT RUDE AND YELLING, ALTHOUGH ITS TEMPTING TO USE CHOICE WORDS ON THEM..

    • Keep an eye on your bank statement at least for a few months. I wouldn’t put it past them to have kept your cc information and then use it again.

  88. I ordered skin balance and advanced skin FREE products.
I cancelled shortly after I recieved the product and just like u guys next credit card statement $199 charge and $190 charge.
I tried calling them, rude guy no help.
    I didn’t give up.
Next day called again. They still didn’t want to do refund, saying I had cancelled 12 hours after the 14 day trial period.
Not sure if that was true or not but after going around and around, I finally told the guy he had 2 choices.
I needed a FULL refund RIGHT NOW.
Otherwise his first choice would be my credit card company calling him, or 2nd choice, FBI.
He put me on hold a bit, soon was back, and said he would make an exception in my case.
In one minute I had 2 emails stating my orders were cancelled and I would be issued a full refund on both charges!
    DO NOT GIVE UP!
BE STERN AND FIRM, DONT BE RUDE AND MAD TO THEM, BUT STATE IN NO UNCERTAIN TERMS THAT U HAVE THE AUTHORITIES ON THEIR TRAIL.
They will start to tremble, and hopefully start to act like human beings.
Keep calling back til you get a person that’s actually gonna listen to what you’re saying.

    • I’m glad you got satisfaction, Mary. Many others have not been as lucky. I think the best answer to this problem is to never order anything from companies that employ automatic shipping as a sales tactic, no matter how tempting.
How do people feel about that?

      • I agree. I will never order any skin cream free shipping for sure. It seems that is the target right now. The company names and phone numbers are changing weekly. For me, the safest way to stop this mess is to cancel card used.

        • Please everyone that has been scammed by these crooks, Call your attorney general. It will be the only way to stop this mess and cancel the card you used. Watch your statement s. Report! This is so out of hand.

  89. WARNING • WARNING • WARNING
Amore Skin Treatment. They also sell other products under different names.
Do not order from this company. They charged me four time on my credit card for a product that was never shipped. Stay away from this company. Scammers

  90. Folks, you just saved me a whole ****load of hassle. I was actually thinking about ordering Derma Divine after plowing through screens-ful of their raving. And I thought I was a sophisticated shopper!!!
Many thanks to you and to Supplement Police!s

I suggest a new motto for us: “You don’t like? Don’t look!

    Hypatia

  91. I fell for it under the name “Premium Brands” the free samples (I got 2 different ones after clicking NO to the second one) were $4.97 each and they tagged my bank card for $89.97 each 16 days later. I called and “Ashley” told me she could not cancel the order I had to contact the number on the product. There is no number on the product so I emailed and the email link went to “Revived Youth” and surprisingly they could not locate my order. I will go to my bank tomorrow and put a stop to it even if I have to close my bank account! This is so ridiculous considering if they had been honest I actually liked the cream!!

    • My mom had this happen with the exact same scam, and I’m trying to help her get a total refund. What really gets me going about this particular “brand” is the fact that they’re copying a real company by using their name and a similar logo. I’ll update any info I find helpful in getting a refund

  92. Please add Derma remover and derma lustrous SCAM $388.93. They used Ivanka Trump to sell this fraudulent product. There’s scammers they’re rude and they’re stealing from us. We need Justice and our money back.

  93. I have been scammed for 388.92 dollars from company Derma Remover and Derma Lustrous only agreed to a trial. No terms and they only refunded me 185. I am furious that this is going on and will continue to fight. They told me they would send the paperwork to return the product and never did and when I followed up they hung up on me. How is this okay. Their ad said it was IvankaTrump company. I am sure that’s a scam also. Maybe I should notify her.

  94. Contact the Attorney General of the state where the business is located. Give them the details about the unexpected costs. Ask them to start a class action lawsuit for the people who have been scammed by an disreputable company. I contacted the California AG concerning a NuAge skin creme trial that I paid $4.95 postage and ended up with 3 months of billing for product I didn’t order. I am also contacting my state
AG’s office with a request to call California and let them know of the complaint.

We all have to make a concerted effort to get something done to get our money back. Please, take time and email, call, or fill out a complaint form on the California AG’s website.

  95. Add SKIN SCIENTIFIC. Same deal. I got the “red flag” when instead of charging me the $4.99, AFTER checkout it was $35. I called the 800 number, “Please call during business hours” on the robo. Called the credit card. They had already charged me. Called the contact # on the credit card charge, still no answer. I called VISA and put the charges into dispute immediately. Called the next day. Very nasty customer “service” rep told me I had to cancel “same day”. I explained that I had tried. I asked if it had shipped. She checked, it had not. I asked for a cancellation and full refund. She refused to refund the shipping even though it had not shipped! I said the charges were in dispute, and that I would not pay. She freaked! Said now I couldNOT get any refund because I’d said the word “dispute”, and that their bank ALWAYS won disputes! That day I got notice of cancellation. Three of them. The next day, a notice of shipping, for all products. VISA advised me to change my credit card number. I did. They said to refuse the items. We refused them, and the USPS tracking number showed the refusal. We had to fill out a bunch of paperwork. So far, the shipping charges have been refunded, but not the rest of it. BUT they messed with the wrong person. I have a national radio show. Guess what I’m talking about today???? Thanks for your site. Expect your traffic to bump up.

  96. I was scammed this morning by “KYOKU” please add that to the list. They also said that it in their terms and condition. but Im sure when i signed up I didnt see a term and condition that after 28days they will deduct 195$ from my account worth of a 3 months product from kyoku. God! What am I gonna do with a product that didnt even work. So I called my bank for the unauthorized transaction cos I was really angry. 195$ is a really big thing for a low income person like me. I worked hard for that money. And we all have bills to pay. I dont know how to get my money back. I also contacted kyoku. I told them that ill ship back the products for a refund. And they didnt allow me to do that because their company wont allow a refund. which is impossible. Im very stressed right now cos i have bills to pay and Im saving to buy my 1st car. I dont want to change my card now cos I have hope that I can get my refund. Then Ill change my card. Coz I dont trust them when they say they will cancel any future transactions. huhu ;(

  97. AVOID Riserenew 888-532-5113. Sometime in September 2916, I got a pop-up ad for this wrinkle product. I am usually very vigilant about reading the small print. I thought I was agreeing to a 4.95 S&H for a sample supply of the product. I have no recollection that there was an auto-ship. When I got my credit card bill for October 2016, there was an 89+ charge. When I called the 888 number above, they informed me I had agreed to the auto-ship but, no problem, they would cancel. They didn’t say that I now missed the deadline for cancelling for the second month. The next month I was charged 89+ again. I attempted to dispute the charge with Bank of America without luck. I was not able to find that offer to review exactly what I had missed. I received a confirmation at the time, but there was no warning about how to cancel and no link to obtain more information. Shame on me for falling for this. Shame on Bank of America for allowing such an organization to do business with them. I will not use my Bank of America card in the foreseeable future. I just ran into a friend and shared my story and she had experienced the exact same thing, same monthly cost – different named product. BEWARE.

  98. I have done a few of these free trials. But I have never been charged for the full price, just the shipping and handling. The 14 day trial typically begins the day you place the order. So I count and mark the days on my calendar. After I place my order or before, I find the customer service phone number and save it. And I save the confirmation emails they send me. I call customer service on the 14th day and tell them I haven’t noticed any results yet and that I really want a chance to see if it works before I pay full price. BTW, I have no intention of paying full price. I ask them in my sweetest voice if I could have another 14 days to try it. They agree and give me a new date to call back and either cancel my membership/autoship or continue. When I’m on the phone with them, I make sure to ask what I need to do if I want to cancel. I ask if I need to return the product even if it’s empty. I make sure to get their name and so far I have purchased a few trials and kept them and not been charged. The most I’ve been charged is an extra 10.00, the fee to keep the product, but I make sure to cancel the membership. So far I have kind of “scammed” them. I have tried “Instantly ageless, coal cosmetics, core cosmetics, la’cell cosmetics and garcinia cambrogia. And a few others. U just have to make sure and call them on the correct dates.

  99. I ordered christy brinkly skin noir, a free trial offer and it should have been only $4.95 but did not know they enrolled me in a membership and 14 days later was billed $89.95. change your card it’s a scam. I called and was given a cancellation number and was told I would get an email confirmation I never got it. Again don’t trust change your card.

  100. Skin Refresh and Eye Sensation can be added to the list. I’m pretty thorough and I never saw terms and conditions like these on their checkout page. Not to mention the receipt I was sent didn’t include any details like that.

In addition, the checkout page said that I wasn’t done yet and it featured the eye sensation product. I didn’t want that but it said I hadn’t checked out yet, so I clicked through thinking I hadn’t signed up for the product, and they shipped me and charged me for both. : \

    • The exact, same thing happened to me with Derma Devine. There is no check-box for having read and accepted the Terms of Agreement before moving on to the payment information page, and i never saw the link. It took 10 calendar days to receive the products, including the eye serum I didn’t realize I’d ordered, leaving me 4 days to try the product. When $170.00 was charged to my card 12 days after receiving the order, I called customer service immediately, but they’re closed on the weekend. The next business day I canceled the account and was accommodated with a 35% refund. I consider these promotions as Deceptive Business Practices by not presenting the Terms of Agreement up front with an acceptance check-box before moving on to the Payment Information page.

  101. Thanks so much for this info. I can’t believe I fell for the “free trial” and didn’t read that small print. Hopefully I just cancelled my auto ship in time….and now know I have to return the “free product” in order not to pay $97.17 within 30 days. Love too how when I went to pay the shipping expense for my free trial, another free product with same shipping came up (This was Premium brand anti- aging and then Premiumbrand Snake venom product). And guess what…I have to contact them separately to cancel. Hope I’m not seeing nearly $200 on my credit card bill.

  102. I’m with you all But it is not a SCAM. The only thing I can find that this falls under (having a high school education/with no computer skills) is Deceptive Trade Practices is it illegal? (not sure) Did you read the terms? I did, Did I print them out (even if I had a printer I would not have wasted my ink on 20plus pages) My mistake was not writing down the contact information in the policy. The policy and conditions are there. some b4 you fill it in some after but its too late when you fill the form out you’re ordered, you don’t submit it the website does it, how nice. Then free serum pops up with option to opt out: forget it, its an automatic add on (Maybe an issue). But once you’re done you will never find the website or policies again. I too am going thru this, But…..Dr. Oz nope the website designers link into sites to deceive you (they should be paid millions) So if your waiting for confirmation (as I was its not coming) Don’t recall reading in the policies that you will not receive an invoice, acct no, etc but do remember it may be unlawful to reenter this site in you state, Intimidating huh. Ok your bank call NOW you get the contact no. so you cancel. Now we deal with customer service (people doing a job to make a living) who take the verbal abuse and they handle many, many of the so called skin care co, they don’t serve your product only, how do I know that? Well 1 of them could not find my account and had to ask me which one I had, OOPs. I say They deserve a Raise! But These websites have the legalities covered. The BBB, commerce dept etc.already know what is going on. So do you just blow it off, beat yourself up for being so stupid. Take a breath, Everyone makes mistakes. I have been fishing around and am amazed with how they do it. First these skin care products are mass produced then they slap different labels on (no need for any reviews they r the same with the exception of smell) The Deceptive Trade Practice is used by may companies on the internet, its a common practice there. Not like back in the day when you received your order auto pay or not and inside the box you get THANK YOU FOR CHOISING ” ” along with an invoice with contact information. I think the legality end is covered by them but maybe Public Media. For us golden agers seeing and understanding is believing. It’s only going to get worse future generations with make mistakes too. I have learned so much I would do it again but I would share it with the PUBLIC MEDIA from start to finish. How about when you go to leave one of those sites without ordering and the “WAIT” this is going fast comes up, How about when you go onto the site a window comes up “WARNING’ ‘WARNING’ This is a Deceptive Trade Practice Company! DO NOT ORDER, DO NOT ORDER. Its like anything else its up to us the consumers. Points of thought: Wonder if the check mark, which is considered your signature, can be unchecked? If so will it be an automatic add on? Let me point out that I am just a common consumer but would I like to make a difference!

  103. Add FACE REPLEN and IMAGE REVIVE to your list. They got me for over $300. Before my credit card bill came in. Fighting them now

    • Useless to make a list Lucienne, borealis, etc, etc they are all connected in some way. I know from my personal experience that customer service (using different phone numbers) is the same facility for Borealis and Lucienne. The sad part is some of us don’t know where to go to find the contact information because we didn’t receive any and didn’t copy it down from the policy statement so we can cancel on time. Like the message says when you call customer service Your time is valuable (the policy is somewhere on every website sometime hard to find) but when you fill out the form it disappears and you will not find it. And if your talking to customer service while pulling websites up they tell you that’s not ours. (how do they know what the address of the site is)

      • Son of a gun, I know. They use “cookies” which tells them how many times you viewed their sites and has something to do with blocking you from viewing their sites after you order (so you can’t get the contact information) they send you to a bogus address. Unbelievable!

      • Two days later and I find out how they know its not their site. They use “cookies” and with these “cookies” they know how many times you were on their sites and use them to block you from entering their sites after the order goes in (to obtain the contact information that they hope you didn’t write down) by sending you to a bogus address. (I can prove this) They know you won’t find their sites they have you blocked out. I search for their site for 36 hrs straight and could not find it (how stupid was I) Wonder what the LEGALITIES are of that? Can anybody input? I just want to experience it again and take the Public Media along for the ride, to see is to believe! I am just Amazed!

    • You can also add Nuriva. When I received my credit card statement, the 99.00 charge was from a coffee bean store. I was given the phone # by my credit card co. to my surprise the phone was answered ” Nuriva, skin care products”. After going back and forth with Gary I was told I should be getting a refund within 3 to 5 days. I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed.

      • I ordered the same product. I,m having a hard time finding the phone number could you possibly share that number with me.

    • Hi. I too get to scammed by them. No where did they cite the full charges and I didn’t get the product until it was past the 14 day trial. Are you still fighting?

    • They got me as well, I am 62 on a pension I think this is so wrong, I cancelled my bank card with a lesson learned but I feel something needs to be done to stop this.
I am contacting various people to help out with fraud.

    • Do you have the customer service # for Image Revive and Face Replen? I never got the email they said they would send and yes I checked my junk mail.

  104. It is really sad that so many of us have lost so much money to these fraudsters, not to mention the wasted time, stress and worry involved. I hope our stories serve as a warning to everyone thinking about ordering these “free”samples. Just today I came across an invitation from Amazon – I don’t know if this was really Amazon – to do a short survey. Curious, I filled it out, then I was directed to a list of free samples, only S/H to be paid. I entered my info for 4 different items, stopping short of entering a credit card. Sure enough, the conditions I was asked to agree to stipulated a 14 day trial period to be followed by auto-shipping.
Wouldn’t it be great if somehow we got every single person to ignore these offers for 1 year? I wonder how these companies would react?

    • I really doubt it was Amazon, but I’d be curious to know what Amazon thinks about it. I clicked on it because I thought it was Costco. Someone else thought it was Comcast, and there have been others if you read through the comments. The only thing in common is that we all found out about this after the fact – after this company has made thousands and thousands of dollars. Hiding the conditions is technically legal but I can’t see how using established company’s name is.

      • Haha mine came up as COSTCO too!!! THAT part REALLY SHOULD BE illegal. People trust certain brands and they are using their names to trick us. Like, my mom got scammed by a pop up virus scam that claimed to be TELUS which I have seen SO MANY TIMES, as well as Microsoft and others. That was LITERALLY the ONLY REASON I even considered trying the survey…Same thing, quick survey ( about COSTCO ) and then I’m directed to this page of my supposed “FREE SAMPLES” with products with no info from companies I’ve NEVER heard of before, not even on other scam sites…And OF COURSE I was JUST IN TIME!! :O The offer ends TODAY! Whoa! What luck!! LoL and OF COURSE there’s a COUNTDOWN CLOCK ticking away the MILLISECONDS, so that it’s super flashy in my face that I have to HURRY UP!! MAKE A CHOICE!! BUY NOW OR CRY FOREVER!!! D: Good thing I’ve been ACTUALLY BROKE before whenever I first found these sites, because as cautious as I am, I still REALLY WANTED IT TO BE TRUE!!! I thought “A few bucks isn’t a lot to lose if it IS a scam.” not even realizing at the time that they had the whole autoship scam. Good luck with trying out and returning your item in such a short time. Not to mention that they expect it to not be opened at all. Have fun paying BOTH shipping and handling costs for your “FREE TRIAL” product. As well as the HORRIBLE customer service that won’t let you cancel or wont even answer.

        • Rosa, my mom has just fallen for the same trick, thinking it’s an order via Costco!! So are you saying the scam page is made to believe as a Costco page but indeed it is not at all related to Costco??

    • Veronica, Big mistake Cancel whatever cards you used. almost all of these sites self enter. If you put the information down you can’t go bad and take it out. And if you X out its already in, there is no submit button like you get with a reputable company (if you x out before submitting it does not get submitted) They got you

  105. I would like to ad to the scam list Premium Brand Anti-Aging Formula and Premium Brand Snake Venom Peptide Cream. I signed up for the free trial with $4.97 shipping. I was shocked to see a charge of $89.97 on my checking account statement. I paid four bills on-line around the same time so I had four over-draft fees. My bank states this is my fault since I did not cancel the product. I did not know I had to. The bank is not crediting my account for these fees. I am furious about this scam. The bank also told me I may be billed automatically each month for this product. I wish I had read all the warnings before I fell for this scam.

  106. Just got off the phone with fraud unit of our credit card company. Thanks to your site, we interrupted two 94.95 charges on our credit card for Bisou eye cream and moisturizer. My husband had filled out what looked like a survey for Comcast, offering $70 in product for just a shipping charge of $3.95, for completing survey. He chose the eye cream. Wondering how this cream was rated, I googled it and, what a nasty surprise about their unauthorized use of credit cards. Looked at our statement, saw the charges, and, during discussion with credit card company, something clicked in their system and they saw it was fraudulent. And are sending new credit card.

    • Your post hits home as today I cancelled my credit card on advice from the card company. I had accepted the ‘free trial offer’ without scrutinizing the terms and conditions in fine grey print. It took three shipments and credit card billings before I woke up. Alas, too soon old, too late smart! These scam companies are protected by their policies which customers inadvertently agree to. The products are not worth the cost but all we dummy customers are the source of their profits.
Add these names to the list: Elegenta.com, Rejuvegold.com, billing $$129 per each per month. cremeritinol.com Nicosia, luxeskinkit.com Bratislava, retinolbeautycom Nicosia billing $9.41 per month. It looks like they have a great international group. I plan to contact the RCMP Fraud Unit.

        • Skin opulent is a scam ..No receipt in package no charge slip nor receipt. Expecting 4.95 shipping charge cc charges 89.95. Found a number on product to call waiting for email. Confirmation number started with 981 spoke with customer service and number started with 352 so $85.00 stolen. Bank cancelled cc sigh….desperate world for money. Is this how new jobs are created? Shame

      • I have a phone number for ProNutra, the company that my product comes from. When you call the number, they keep you on hold for a while. Then a recording comes on saying there is a long waiting period and if you would like, they will call you back in the order in which you called. That DOES NOT happen. There is no call back. If you decide to stay on the line, you are disconnected. I have searched everywhere to get more info but to no avail. I cancelled my credit card.

        • I contacted ProNutra and they did call me back and said they would cancel it and gave me a cancellation number. But I will continue to watch my credit card to see if they continue to charge me. Shame.

  107. RELIEFSKIN is one of these scamming companies. They sell/ship you, COLE COSMETICS moisturizer, 1 oz jar for $89.85. (Available on Amazon for $44.) With this exact scam…the 14 day then monthly autoship. They don’t actually cancel your ‘subscription’ when you call to cancel. I was scammed for 3 months before I closely checked my CC bill and saw what they were doing.

  108. It’s getting worse on Facebook. Three separate ‘free products’ offered in one day. First Sephora, then Lancôme and then Oil of Olay. All offering free sample products after answering 4 questions. Then it directs you to the scam ‘rush my free trial page’ and only pay the shipping of the con artist product.
It’s a shame that Facebook allows these con artists to use legitimate companies in their advertising to get people to sign up for these products.
I wonder how Sephora, Lancôme and Oil of Olay would feel about Facebook allowing this type of advertising using their company’s name as false advertising for other products.

    • I think if you look at it on Facebook !!! Somehow they can get your credit card information …. email & your address !!! Then they charge you !!! And YOU never ORDERED the ITEMS or Never RECEIVED the Items !!!! Said they CANCELLED my SUbcription !!! Hopefully that’s not a lie like the SCAM sign up !!! And I will NOT be BILLED anything else !!!! BE careful !!!!

    • Little change for the large companies. All are aware of fraud ads. Question is what is in the bottle????????

    • Clinique also is running one of these scams. I didn’t even get a chance to confirm an order. My CC co. Popped a warning message up when the site started adding other products and charging sh&h charges for each product. I told my CC that I did not authorize the charges. One charge for $3.96 came through for the one thing that I apparently did order (I did not!). I was told when I called that the product was already shipped. We’ll see if that’s true. I did not have any terms and conditions to read or check. On the phone I refused this product and any future attempts to ship. I’m going to cancel my CC. In NY if they don’t post terms and conditions before you order, they cannot charge for restocking. I got terms and conditions after I called to complain. I’m really kicking myself right now!

  109. Add to the SCAM list: Bisou Face Cream.

Charged $94.99 that I didn’t authorize, got hung up on twice by customer service reps, once when I asked for the address of her company, and I’m not sure this adventure is over.

  110. Definitely a SCAM, Radiant Skin Serum (Trial), very rude people when you call I received my Free Trail ($4.95) for 14 days they claim, product came 5 days later leaving 9 days to try and on the 14th day they billed my card $93.95, called and cancelled and they claim that the day of the order is considered the first day. BIG SCAM! BEWARE! IF YOU SEE THIS NUMBER BELOW BEWARE, VERY DECIEVING COMPANY.
    Order-
Thank you for contacting Customer Care!
Please accept this message as Order Confirmation. If you should need further assistance, please contact 1-888-993-1842 to speak with a live agent.

    Have a wonderful day!

    • Kerry I am pretty sure that customer service is a 3rd party not affiliated with the company. Customer service is just like you and me (people trying to make a living) Would I do that job, Heck no I wouldn’t be able to sleep. Many different phone numbers go to the same place. All these free trial deals are connected. I am dealing as we speak.

  111. Face-Replen
If you see this name ,beware. I thought I was doing my wife a favor sending for these “FREE” samples .
Whats worse is this company used the”COSTCO” name to trick the poor sap ,that being me into thinking this was legit. When my wife asked for a copy of the agreement they said they could’nt do that and would only refund a portion of what was charged to credit card even after she said the products were unopened and would be returned. This company has added numerous charges ,so cancel the card ,spread the word and may they” GO TO HELL”.

  112. My 80 year old mother (who only speaks French) has just been scammed with the automatic renewal skin care products from: Skin Balance and PuraVida. Do not buy from any of these companies. She was charged over $800.

    • PuraVida appears to also be the same as Coal skincare. Also the exact same packing with other names also. Big scam. same company that claimed to be invested in by Shark Tank (they were not) may be using other names besides PuraVida, COAL, etc.

  113. Please list NEW SKIN Scam and OR Lucious Skin I purchased a trial size of Reawaken eye cream and a trial size of Neuphoric ageless face complex. Same as many above thought I was only having to pay shipping and handling. That was December. A month later in January I had a charge card billed $89.84. I called the phone number on the charge card charge and after much yelling over each other I am getting a first offer of 35% back, to get a 50% cash back. I also have cancellation numbers for each item. That is better than nothing but I did tell her that was a scam many times. She said the information was on the site where I purchased the trial offers. I did not see it anywhere. Will not do this again. So many are falling into this same scam with so many companies. Thanks for your web site and letting me rant. Pat

  114. DO NOT! and I REPEAT, DO NOT get caught up in the “legal” scam with PRO NUTRA! I didn’t realize I signed up for the FREE TRIAL for both thePRO NUTRA MATRIXYL and the PRO NUTRA SMOTH SKIN, thinking it was one & the same. My credit card was charge close to $400! I saw the $200 on my statement, called my credit card. The agent said there is another charge on your next monthly statement, $94.94 x 2, All TOTAL close to $400. It took me a full day of calling and waiting on the phone for someone to answer, I also was told they would call me back and I would not loose my place in line……NEVER received a call back! I called again and again, finally talked to an agent, refused to give me full credit. I called my credit card & they have it in dispute!!!! Unbelieveable SCAM, but, they claim it is within THE LAW since YOU AGREED to terms! Who reads all the terms before clicking! I am sure the cost was not in the “TERMS” as I would NEVER have agreed to pay close to $100 for less than ONE OUNCE of cream. I have NEVER felt so taken advantage of!!!! Also they should provide a copy of these “TERMS” as a receipt for you to review!!!!! Why not??????

  115. Add Sevan Skin Care and Mystere Eye Cream. Same nonsense, no notification, no email confirmation, no way to cancel. Pure SCAM.

  116. I got all of my money back from SKIN SLOW and ALL SKIN… Here is what I did

TO AVOID FURTHER LEGAL ACTION WITH THE FEDERAL AUTHORITIES

http://www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/scams-fraudes/index-eng.htm Please be advised that if my December 10, 2016 charge of $189.24 is not credited to my credit card account, for not receiving your goods until January 9, 2017, well beyond the 14 day trial offer date to cancel that I offered to return unopened, after reviewing my credit card statement billed to my account that I am disputing and as I explained to your manager, who said he would not comply, under your fine print terms and conditions, after explaining it must have been lost in the mail or delivered to another address, I will file a complaint to the above authorities, namely, The Royal Canadian Mounted Police for investigation, as a scam, with a sworn affidavit that the above is true, who will post it on their website, to warn others of your shady practices, even after you received a valid complaint from me, to resolve this issue. This is a Federal offence in Canada and may even constitute fraud in this instance.

The same would apply with any Federal Agencies, no matter what country you are in and as far as the 14 day free trial goes, it starts the day you place the order and billed 14 days later, around 10 days after you get it and that is the lope hole for billing your account before the actual real 14 day trial, so lets say you got it 1 or two weeks later. In other words, this is credit fraud, with no backing out or just pay half. Can you say illegal?

In total I would have been out $750.00 CAD, if I did not go after them and threaten to go to the Feds and magically, I got a full refund 16 hours later. The last thing they want is a Federal Investigation, into their scam and then the fraud.

    • I had a nearly identical experience with New Life Skin today. Only they fully admitted that they never actually shipped the products. I resolved it for full refund by sicking BMO Mastercard fraud department on them. BMO was able to get the company to process the refund within half hour. It helped that I had a lot of email correspondence as confirmation that my claim was accurate.

  117. Just want to agree with Elizabeth Ferguson about Coal Cosmetics. Because I’ve been aware (burned before) i looked all over to see if I was agreeing to pay some amount of money or agreeing to some contract when taking advantage of the trial, but I saw nothing and agreed to nothing more. When the Coal mosturized cream came it was a small bottle, and there was nothing in the package about the need to cancel. So when I was charged $89.87 for the Cosmetic Moisturizer exactly 14 days from when I ordered I didn’t even notice at first. A phone call tells me that it was up to me to have gone to their website and read everything to know about the terms and conditions. I know I never agreed to them because I never saw them at all, but I’m apparenty out the $89.87 for a very small jar of moisturizer anyway. These companies have no desire to make it clear that there are terms and conditions which are assumed are agreed upon when a trial size of a product is ordered. The company doesn’t offer to prove to it’s trial customer that they were given terms and conditions to give approval for, because in most cases the customer wasn’t shown what demands would be at the ending date of the trial! Maybe going to Small Claims Court is a good idea!

  118. RESVIBRANT. Same SCAM. Lie about terms and charge you out the yin yang. Told me I couldn’t cancel for one week. I tried it for a week. Called them. Wouldn’t let me cancel. Got MC involved, dispute filed.

Filed report with BBB and attorney generals office. And I’m not stupid. There was a risk free statement that was an out and out lie.

    RESVIBRANT. LIARS, SCAMMERS, CHEATERS.

  119. Don’t order anything from Premium Brand Cream or Prime Time Cream (US) or Love Hydroderm in Canada. It’s a scam. Ordered the “free” sample with $4.95 shipping. Now getting a shipment monthly for $95 a month. There is NO longer any information on their website as there was the day I ordered it. No one answers the phone number listed and not sure what to do other than to close out my debit card and start over. I have reported it to the FBI’s Online Fraud Dept. But I seriously doubt it will carry any importance, but we’ll see.

    • Well maybe all of these women need to do a class action law suit. I ordered ageless skin if I paid the shipping. I called them each time they charged. Today I received another email saying shipping confirmed and ageless skin has been discounted. I don’t give a shit if it’s been discounted. I asked them to stop and they have continued. Last month I was charged and they and they didn’t send me any product and they didn’t reverse the charges. So today I’m going to my bank. The internet is out of control. This has happened to me with vitamins and a news letter that I bought. A few days ago I was hit with a $199 dollar charge for a news letter that I didn’t order. If you have bought anything over the internet they have your card number. Amazon is not excluded either! Same day I get the $199 dollar charge a friend calls me in a panic and tells me she has charges from Amazon. She’s never shopped on Amazon! “Free” is not free. And consumers need to go after them.

  120. Derma Divine is also a scam! I ordered the “free” samples paying only shipping and handling. Nowhere did it say that I would be enrolled in an automatic shipment program. There is no phone number or customer service email address in which to cancel or demand a refund. Also, no receipt included in the package. If anyone has a number for this product in which I can call, please respond.

    • Your bank or credit card company should have the phone number. It is always listed on the line with the charges on your statement. Look for a 10 digit number that starts with 8 and that should be it. There should also be at least a partial address as well.

  121. This is a scam – product holds approx 2oz in a 4-5oz bottle – you pay s/h and then an addl 89.84 will be billed to your card on the 15th day. You have to call and be told that you agreed to the terms when you ordered the product; regardless if you did or not – call you bank to file a complaint to stop payment and get another card to stop future unauthorized charges. Also, complain to the BBB of the terms and conditions is not available in the email confirmation or in the product upon delivery. I did authorize or agree to their terms – my suggestion is to not ever order for any free trial that demands a credit/debit card information.

  122. I own a small store in town. This may be our revival. We have been slowly “put out of business’ because everyone sits on their computers and place orders. Maybe the convenience isn’t worth it after all. I KNOW when you go into a store and buy a product, you pay the price on the sticker and the transaction is complete. Maybe everyone needs to get off their computers and go shopping with your girlfriends.

    • Yes and some folks are house bound and older and not all products are in the stores. I rarely shop online but because I did doesn’t mean I should be ripped off!

  123. My daughter had my laptop. She saw an ad for teeth whitening product “BELLA AT HOME”. It was advertised as a free trial and S & H was discounted to $1.03. She entered into a contract with this company, for this product, then came to tell me about this great deal.

She came to tell me about this great deal she bought on the computer. I stood there confused for a couple of seconds…with what money? you can’t email them change from your piggy bank??? ….she said, “I used your credit card, you gave me the number when I needed books……..” “UUUUUGGGGGHHHHHH”

I looked on the site and found the phone number to cancel orders. The automated message said, “If you wish to cancel please enter one (1)”. After reading your letter on these “Scams” there was no way I was going to count on something like that to cancel the order. I stayed on the line for a representative, for no less than 5 minutes. During those 5 minutes, the auto voice reminded me, every 30 seconds, that I needed to enter 1 if I wanted to cancel.
I finally spoke with a rep. He told me, “since the order has already been processed there is No Way to get the merchandise back. I had two options…You can pay a greatly discounted rate for the trial size product, OR…wait until I receive it and return it.”
I let him finish but then told him, “This was just placed within the last 10 minutes, you need to contact someone and tell them not to ship. I’m 100% certain it has not left the warehouse in the past 10 minutes.” He told me there was no way to call it off… “you have two options….” He repeated as he read from his script.
I told him that he needed to speak with a supervisor and have them cancel the order. If I receive it I am going to throw it in the garbage, I AM NOT PAYING SHIPPING TO SEND IT BACK TO YOU. He repeated the same two options. I told him, “I’m calling my bank as right now and canceling my card. I hope you’re recording this because I want you to know I tried to cancel this within 10 minutes of it being ordered, I do not want this. I will not use this, my daughter is only 13 years old and legally she cannot enter into a contract, then I hung up and CALLED MY BANK.

My daughter is grounded for a LlllOoooNnnnGgggg time. I will never give her my card number again. I only pray that this was a one-time event. If I start receiving items in the mail…..She’ll be lucky if she sees 14.

p.s. Please ADD Coal Cosmetics Eye Serum to your list. That’s one I fell for, a couple of months ago. I learned my lesson.

p.s.s. I have ordered products “As Seen On TV” by phone. the automated system would say something like “Because you ordered **** today, you are eligible for **** at the same discounted price, so please enter one for yes you accept or two if you wish to decline.” I would hang on for offer, after offer, after offer. Entering two over and over. I just wanted to hear my total charge before disconnecting. The last time I ordered by phone I hung up and didn’t wait to decline all of the supplemental offers. I found out later. “NOT DECLINING IS THE SAME AS ACCEPTING” or at least it was awhile ago. I haven’t phone ordered in a few years. Just fyi.

    • Please forgive your daughter. If us adults can fall for this, imagine someone with a lot less life experience being fooled. Oh, and don’t throw the product away. You will have to return it to hopefully get your money back, because frankly, the CC companies (or at least mine told me this) can’t fight these scammers because what they are doing is not actually illegal. They claim that the consumer could only charge the product to their CC after reading the guarantees and disclaimers.

  124. My mother-in-law was scammed by these scums. She clicked on something that said a free sample from Skin Glow and only pay $2 for shipping, she got the product in November and was charged twice almost $400 CA. And then yesterday they send 2 packages again and charges approx. $400. She is an older lady and not very savvy with computers. There was no invoice in the package, the website is bogus and it took me a while to search online for a contact number to call their customer service. After I got thorough, the woman on the phone seems like she was reading off a script and refused to give a refund. I demanded to speak to a manager and she said there was no one available and would have someone give me a call back today – Never happened. We got on the phone with my mother-in-law’s bank and explained the situation and the bank called someone from the company from the transaction record, and we had a conference call. I told them that she did not sign up for this, this is clearly a scam and wanted our money back. First she said, after a good few minutes of arguing that they would agree to give 50% refund. Ridiculous! I demanded 100% and told them they are scammers and would report them to the police. At first, she said she would only email me a cancellation confirmation, I wanted a refund confirmation. After some more arguing, she sent the refund confirmation and the bank advised us to check the credit card account for the refund in 3-5 days. If it does not come through, they will dispute with the company and the refund confirmation is proof of refund. These people are criminals and prey on vulnerable people and exploit unexperienced internet users. Judging by the comments on this thread, it seems like the same company/ business model that keep changing its names and contact information and targeting different audiences. They need to be reported as fraud, not sure what country they operate from. They have found a loop hole is law, which allows them to keep charging ‘customers’ without their knowledge, just because the person checked yes to terms and condition. These terms and charges are not made clear initially and this should be illegal. Has anyone had any luck/ response trying to report this to the police or fraud reporting authority?

    • Hi all,
I have found 3 monthly recurring charges similar to comments made in this conversation string.
Add ‘All healthy skin’ or ‘AllSKIN’ to your list.

Phone number leads to no human connections after the digital voice and the website is present but even the ‘free trial’ button leads to nowhere. These operations popup and down fast to keep untraceable.

My bank RBC is contacting their financial institution and will aim to claim a refund and have launched an investigation. The MOST IMPORTANT action to protect yourself is to cancel your credit card number and get a new one reissued or they will keep charging you with no real recourse.

I have made a report to Canada’s anti-fraud centre that gathers info to help law enforcement and private sector services like banks to shut down accounts, websites that offer these products or services.
      http://www.antifraudcentre-centreantifraude.ca/reportincident-signalerincident/index-eng.htm

    • Read your post above with great interest. In November, 2016 I ordered samples of a face and neck cream and under eye cream with the only charges of S & H. There was no fine print anywhere but the thing that caught me was a picture of Ivana Trump and Ivanka Trump with a little write up of how pleased they were with the products. Also the products were supposed to have a coal ingredient in them. When one of my daughters was a baby the doctor had prescribed a coal and/or pine tar cream for her allergy, so I thought this might really be good, so I ordered the samples. The samples both came in one box with no shipping sheet enclosed. I thought that seemed rather strange. However did not order any more, but the next month my bank account was charged with two separate charges one from California and one from Florida. Names on the charges were JACGLOB*DERMABOD and TOTAL SKIN PROS US. All of this was a total scam. I immediately closed my debit card and had a new one issued with different numbers. Just placing this info here so you can add these names to the list also.

      • I got invested with a similar type article about Angelina Jolie’s skincare line (and I can’t find the article now.) Please add “Revived Youth” products. I got two “samples”, one for a face cream and one for an eye serum. The charges on my card came up as “MY SKIN ALLURE” and DCV*SKINCARE, respectively. I placed one order that came in one box, but paid $4.95 shipping for each of the two items. Both products are from the same offer and the same brand, so it’s pretty odd that the charges are coming from two different sources. Any help getting rid of all this would be an enormous help. I found this thread while researching this scam. I’ll be contacting my bank, too, of course, but man…

        • Same name, same shipping of 2 products in one box, but 2 shipping charges. I specifically looked for fine print and there was none. I persisted with the guy I called who first offered a 15% refund and later a 35% refund. Banks are onto these folks, as they alerted me to the charges as possible fraud. But they can’t block the charges apparently.

    • This is criminal. You don’t have to be inexperienced to be drawn in! And you don’t have to see the terms to be charged!I realized it was a scam and closed the window before I clicked the complete order button, but guess what they still sent product anyway and charged me the $89.95!
I had to go through my browsing history to even find the name of the fake product because the company listed on my credit card account doesn’t match. From viewing these pages I can see that I never saw any subscription info. They are flat out thiefs. This is Illegal I don’t care what they say I never signed any contract because I never saw one. SIMPLECHOICE and Bella Serata to add to list

  125. HAVELUSCIOUSSKIN.COM AND SHINING SMOOTH BEAUTY ripped me off for almost $400. I sent the product back and got no refund. :(

  126. I’ve been taken by the same “free trial” scammers, also through a Facebook popup ad. Having retired from the legal profession, I read ads very carefully and this one had no disclosures about returning the samples in 14 days (or ever), autoship, or any other active acceptance of terms such as a checkbox.

There may have been a passive “terms” at the bottom of the confirmation page that had to be clicked on to read, but that would only be visible after the payment had gone through, so couldn’t have been read beforehand.

I was billed under 2 different co. names, Nutra AM Eye Serum for $84.95 and Great Skin Cream (talk about generic fake names) for $89.92, even though the popup ad for both products was a co. named Panama Skin Care. When I did a Google search for the Panama co., it didn’t exist. What f’n Crooks!

That’s why it doesn’t do much good to keep a list of company names, they change them or use trade names that don’t even have to be registered in most states. Years ago something like this happened to me (do we ever learn?) and that co. kept billing me twice every mo. under 2 different names and slightly different amounts, making it very hard to block future charges with my bank. They just finally gave up after hyper vigilance by me and my banker.

By the way, I live in Ohio and Chase Bank has been great about disputing these charges, though they ask you to try to go through the merchant first, which as you all know, is a nightmare and usually a waste of time. After you make the attempt though, they take the charges right off and put the onus on the company(ies) to prove the legitimacy of the billing.

    R or

  127. Scam. I only ordered the trial and made sure to indicate I didn’t want anything further, no automatic shipments. I didn’t receive any emails saying they were going to send me a shipment automatically, but it showed up. Now they are trying to charge me almost $200. I am completely dissatisfied with this scam type of approach!!!

  128. I have also been scammed by skin glow. I called immediately on receipt of my free trial offer -internet said for Costco customers -which they say not on record. It is really expensive and the exchange rate makes it really bad. I am disputing it so will see. Take advice folks run from this scam

    • Pro Nutra Smooth Skin also said it was for Costco customers and that’s why I clicked on it. My bank caught the charges, smelled the scam and didn’t let the charges through with the exception of the first ‘trial’. Pro Nutra tried to charge me pretty much instantly for further shipments that I hadn’t even received. Because my bank caught it, they issued a new debit card to me and deactivated by old one. It was probably the best thing that could happen because ProNutra won’t be able to charge anything else on that card now.

  129. Amore skin care is a scam, too. When I signed up I went through a link on facebook, and the page it took me to didn’t have a disclaimer. I read disclaimers, and would never have signed up for this product if I had known the trial was only 14 days from when you place the order, and that they would charge me $98, and sign me up to be automatically charged. As for the product, the eye cream comes out of the container like plastic, and won’t spread on the skin. The face cream dries up within a few minutes, and I end up having to use another moisturizer. The customer service is joke, they don’t care about the customer at all, and there is nothing they will do for you. I even sent back the shipment they signed me up for unopened, and they said they may give me a refund, or they may send it to me again.

    • I went through the exact same thing with Amore Skin through a link on Facebook. The authorities should do something about these companies that are out to scam people. I disputed the charges with my credit card (Bank of America Mastercard) but, unfortunately, the credit card company billed me back, saying they were legitimate charges. There should be a class action lawsuit, since it’s a total rip-off.

  130. LUXIA NO. 7

This is a rip-off. Like so many others, I ordered the free trial for shipping and handling. Within 2 weeks, my credit card was charged approx $200, for the free trial!! And Luxia 7 is a really unremarkable product. My bank caught this scam and thankfully I was saved $100. I’ve already contacted my state’s attorney general’s office to fill out a complaint. It won’t get my money back but hopefully our AG will pressure these crooks to act reasonably.

  131. Pure radiance- Radiance Allure- Apexskin all part of the same M.O. they ship your product with no invoices inside, the bix is balnk it only says P.O Box 35530 St Petersburg, Fl they don’t send you an email with a shipping notice or an invoice by mail. The free trial/sample is not free. Very hard to track down once you are looking to cancel. and when you look on the bottle for the actual name of the product is not even the product you ordered but it has a different name. I looked it up and ended up calling another company who told me these people were using their name on their products and they were getting a lot of calls of complaints. I called and even though I haven’t even open the two jars I received, they have the original seal. It took me a while to track down details of thsi order which I think I saw on TV or on the internet, and I do recall they said it was a product launched by Angelina Jolie. They said they would refund me only 50% of each jar, which are 85$ each. but not nothing for the “Free” trial which was 85 plus $ 5 S&H. I am considering filing a complaint in the BBB. Has anyone have any luck with this? And yes not easy to call Customer service (if you are lucky to find the number) and get someone to help, yeah and rudeness is the requirement to work there.

  132. Luxe Skincare line
Please add to list if it hasn’t been mentioned already. Supposedly, was just paying for shipping for a trial size in skin care. I never saw anything about a charge of the full price of the product 7 days later, which totaled over 200.00. Customer service was a joke, they put you on hold for over 20 minutes, in the hopes that you hang up out of frustration, like the article states (ridiculous customer service) finally someone picked up I couldn’t understand them, they’re clearly talking from a distant country and her accent was so thick it made communicating almost impossible. These guys charged my card three separate times I never received anything except for the initial trial bottle. I had to cancel my credit card to get them to stop and my bank was useless at helping because I had initially clicked on the except terms and agreement they said they couldn’t do anything. However, the really pathetic thing is this only happened about a year and a half ago and I just came across this article while I was looking at a another skin care offer to just pay for the shipping LOL.

    • As I mentioned, i never checked a box where it said that I accepted their terms. Capital One was trying to say I had. We should complain to the FTC (federal trade commission) as these are unfair trade practices. We should put these crooks out of business.

  133. Add Deluxe Skin Secrets to the list, endorsed and run by Angelina Jolie allegedly. Why oh why are we blindly being fed this bs and then told it is not illegal for these scamming thieves. If I was asleep and someone grabbed my hand to make me sign for something I do not see and it is almost impossible for me to be aware of then it would not be a contract I legally agreed to it would be a CON! The word legal has unfortunately been taken right out of the context it was originally brought in for. In fact the whole legal world is now used too often to act completely in a ‘lawless’ unjust way like an official mafia to just extract money from people with no redress or accountability. The law today is just a total hocus pocus of pages and pages of nonsense meaning nothing to the normal laymen or even lawyers themselves but they (and immoral thieving companies/scammers etc) can get away with it as they are the modern day witch doctor that is all pervasive and we all have to kowtow to unquestioningly. Because they can and do blind us and fool us with their illegible jargon written in tiny hidden print nobody has a cat in hells chance of reading and understanding. Who owns all these law practises? maybe for starters, these scammers with all their hundreds of ever changing names, you can’t hope to keep up with. This nonsense needs re-structuring and regulating. The fact is we have all been robbed and we know it! This should not be allowed to happen but law firms are all powerful modern day gods nobody dares question. With companies like these in their pockets…

  134. Another one to look out for – SKIN OPULENT. They say in the internet ad that it’s a new product line
by Angelina Jolie. Based on that, I thought it was probably legit. But it’s exactly as described above, they
bill your credit card some large amount, in my case $89.50, because I didn’t send the trial sample back
within 14 days. I never heard of having to send or give back a sample. Then they keep sending you crap you didn’t order and don’t want, and billing your credit card. In my case another $94.50. You call them to ask for the address to use for return shipments, and they say they don’t accept returns. And your credit card company is stuck in the middle, because after all, you didn’t read the fine print and checked the box that indicated you read and accepted the terms and conditions.

  135. I have asked that my continued orders be STOPPED….and I just received another order. Please tell me how to contact your company and how to return these creams. The box is still unopened.

    • I finally got a call back from the company, at first they are not willing to refund my money. Until I told them I already file a dispute from my bank, they said they will refund me 100% if I remove my dispute and prove them. Should I trust them and remove the disputes?

    • Cancel your card and ask your bank for a new one. If the company tries to charge your card for another shipment, the charges won’t go through because the card will be deactivated by that time.

    • Miriam, You have ONE Option. You have to cancel the credit card that they have on file. It’s a pain but they will NEVER stop until they don’t get money.
      Good Luck and God Bless.

  136. I wonder if we can sue these companies(probably the same company using different brand names?) and get them into jail since there are so many victims?

  137. Add Satin Youth to the list. I have the same scam story as everyone else. Paid shipping for “free trial” of 2 products $4.95 and $3.95. Then they charged my debit card $89.95 and $99.95. I called the company and they said there was no “free trial”, that it was a “risk free trial” and said they apologized for the confusion and offered me the employee discount and would refund half my money. This was unacceptable, I wanted a full refund. After I made the argument that this was false advertising and I was going to report them to the Federal Trade Commission and Better Business Bureau, the girl put me on hold for a minute, then came back and told me she was issuing a full refund. They sent me an e-mail saying I would be refunded.

  138. BIG SCAM!!! EV Derma Instant Lift Serum & Plush Cell Active. I had the exact same experience as Dee. There was nothing on the site I was on regarding terms, and the 2nd item just appeared, and you could not opt out.
I called to cancel when I saw the charge on my cc statement, and was given the run around. I yelled and said I would tell everyone about the scam. The guy insisted it was not a scam. He issued a partial refund, and promised a voucher for products not related to their products worth more than the value of a full refund. Voucher hasn’t shown up yet. Capital One said I couldn’t file dispute because I agreed to their terms. I told them that I never saw any terms or the part about 14 days. The lady told me they had lots of
complaints about the company. I guess I can call the company again and yell louder and longer and see if I can get more than the 35% they gave me.

    • I just got off the phone with Capital One and those dishonest people. Capital One was nearly useless, unlike American Express who actually help their customers. That company’s “customer service” person was awful. I did the yelling (for a lack of better word). She stated she couldn’t give me a full refund of almost $200 even though the charge was still pending. I insisted on talking to someone above her. The “supervisor” related back the same garbage. Unacceptable. I asked where I agreed to this garbage and was told on the website. I asked for Capital One and both of us to go to the site together. She gave us a site where I had never been. Be that as it may, I looked for these “terms and conditions” and saw them. NOWHERE did it say that I agreed to this garbage. The supervisor passed us on to a “senior supervisor”. She wouldn’t answer questions either. Capital One kept asking whether they would refund the charges. That’s a Yes or No question; she wouldn’t answer. She was offering 50% refund. Unacceptable. Their terms and conditions stated that if I returned their garbage within 30 days, all I would have to pay was $5.95 “restocking fee” her item (of which I had 2). I said I would gladly pay to return their garbage and would agree to this $5.95 per item so we could call it a day. She finally said I would get a refund for 100% of both charges. Now, I have a “subscription cancellation” number and a transaction number for the full amount. We will see…. What a nightmare. STAY AWAY FROM THESE CROOKS

      • I am disheartened to read you had trouble with Capital One concerning this fraud. That’s my credit card company and I am going to have to get them on my side with this whole scam thing. I stupidly fell for the face cream thing where you just pay the low shipping cost. Now there is a pending charge on my credit card for $98.09 and of course you can’t do anything when it’s just pending. Nobody will answer at this scam company (LETOILE). I have no address. I feel trapped and extremely frustrated. I read that someone else cancelled their credit card so the scammers could no longer charge them, but then the scammers turned them in for nonpayment. UNREAL!!!!!! I am so upset!!! My husband said he is going to try to keep calling the number listed for LETOILE, but I highly doubt anyone is going to ever answer the phone. He is also going to call Capital One tomorrow. I want to hear some stories where people actually got out from under this nasty scam! I don’t see how those people can even sleep at night.

        • I was scammed by Letoile also! We just went through a house fire and we are pretty much right now homeless and then I discovered the amount of the $98.09 or whatever it was out of my debit account. I had to take time off of work, go to the bank and close this account. I have no address, no phone number to try and call this scam place. They can have the damn 98.00 dollars they took but I want to stop these auto-shipments! Any help is appreciated on this one. I could use some good luck right about now… why oh why did I click the mouse…..

  139. SKIN NOIR RIPOFF! Here’s what you agree to when you order the $4.95 sample. Yep..a automatic $98 charge in 15 days from your credit card!!

If I enroll in the membership program I am agreeing to be charged $4.95 today and $98.71 for my trial skincare product on the 15th day if I do not call to cancel my membership. I will receive a full-size bottle of skincare product for $98.71 (S&H included) every 30 days thereafter until I cancel. My credit card will be billed and my shipment will be sent automatically at those times. Shipments will continue until I call to cancel my membership at 1-866-710-5109 or by emailing [email protected], open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Product ships in 1-3 business days and is delivered in 3-5 business days. By accepting this trial offer you are agreeing the Terms & Conditions and Arbitration and Waiver of Class Action

    • Unfortunately I also got caught up in the scam..Bella Essence was the name I was scammed with. It seems it’s a revolving door with these companies. I got charged $99.01 on my credit card, after being on hold for 38 minutes, the customer service person said she could do nothing to help me….WHAT!!! My credit card company did get one charge removed, but said this one was pending….GREAT!!! I immediately cancelled that card and my credit union issued me another card.. so if they try and charge again, it will be declined. The best offer that I can give is: DON’T ORDER FREE TRIAL, it’s all a scam…When I called the 1-800 number they actually asked me which company did I want to speak with…that says it all. There should be more BAD publicity out there on this type of misrepresentation to the consumer.. Everyone have a nice holiday.

    • Nooooo! Don’t trust these crooks. The bank is your only chance T getting your money back. The dispute will be resolved when you say it is and not before. Then and only then, you can tell your bank that the dispute should be taken out.

  140. Ok, although I really like and trust Joy Behar, I would never order this product she is promoting, the 2 samples of what I remember as being called ” Renew” Skin Cream and Renew Oil, supposed to be ”wonder skin products” that take years off your skin and looks.
So I filled in the order, and gave my VISA Debit Card number and info. The deal was to receive the Trial size versions. I did receive them, but looking at my bank account later I discovered that the company had charged me the FULL PRICE of the products, which I think was about $125.00 per product. I quickly phoned my bank ( TD in “Canada) and they have a team that helps customers who were scammed like this to get their money back. The bank goes after the company with sucess in a few days. The money taken from my account through fraud was redeemed from the company and returned to my bank account. I kept the sample products. DO NOT fall fogr these scam ads online and this ”free product sample” just pay shipping B.S..Your credit card will be charged with full amount. It doesn’t matter whichi celebrity is promoting the product, the company itself is the real guilty fraudster and theif. Joy Behar’s products are likely also being promoted under this similar sneaky scam ! Just because Joy is very likeable doesn’t mean the company who makes and ships the products is legit or honest. Not worth the chance. Buy your skin products in a shop in person that sells skincare products ! I live in Canada. Would be same scam in U.S. and Canada

    • WARNING: Just so you and everyone reading this know… Joy Behar is not selling skin creams. She has even stated on the View that it is a scam, using her name and photo without her permission or knowledge, to lure people in to buy it. Not only her, but most celebrities that you see in ads promoting “skin creams” and other products, are not themselves selling it. Their images are being ripped off by these scammers to fool people. Dr. Oz has been warning people for years that images of him on the internet ‘selling’ anything are not him and have nothing to do with him, he said he does not endorse products. Again, those are scammers.
Hope this helps some unsuspecting consumers ;-)

    • You’re right..it was her name that got my attention n money. The problem is we believe in a fountain of youth and run to it. Re-educating yourself in self acceptance and aging as a normal and realize THERE IS NO FOUNTAIN OF YOU, just good makeup n a beautiful smile. Purchase a good sun blocker and love yourself with unflorinated water and grow older in grace. Lesson learned

  141. Neubella, neuphoric, reawaken they are all the same I did not even get the 14 day information which I looked for because I have been thru this. I got refunded the first time and 35 % the second time. They are a scam, all of them i have tested three and read the whole disclosure you must cancil with in 14 days even if you do not get any information or they bill your account, and the banks accept because you ordered the trial size. You get no notice not anything, you are charged for the free sample not your next months worth but the free sample. And the banks side with them not their customer. It is not free!

    • I’ve been reading all of the comments posted on this site and do you know that all of these skin care companies are one and the same. They keep changing their names so that no one can catch them. Surely with all the complaints with the Better Business Bureau and the FDA you would think that perhaps Marketplace could pick up the story and catch these guys in the act. Wouldn’t that be wonderful. In saying that we are all vulnerable and many of us are extremely angry with ourselves for being fooled this way. I guess that’s the price we pay for wanting to look young again. I’ve certainly learned my lesson.

      • Lucille, I second that all these companies are connected. What I think is the problem is they basically have the legalities covered in the policy and conditions which are somewhere on every website sometimes you have to search for it but its there some where. But “BEWARE” once you fill out the form it is submitted and the policy statement is lost along with that specific website. Maybe Deceptive Trade Practices?

  142. Yes, you can add Eye Royale and Skin Royale brand to the scam list for enticing people to order a ‘free trial’ and then you have to click further to read the conditions of canceling before the 14 days are up! they use photos of A. Jolie as the come one; in fact it said she owns the company!

    • A. Jolie is currently promoting her new line EV Derma that does the exact same scam
      with the ‘free trial’. Horrible.

  143. Add NUAGE SKIN snake venom peptide cream (can’t stand the name) and CELLULIFT SUPER C SERUM to the list. I made the mistake of using bank debt rather than my credit card. They offered a 35% refund…we’ll see if that shows up as a credit. I don’t even want to touch the stuff. I posted this on my F.B. page…hopefully it will save my friends from the same mistake I made.

  144. Thanks to supplementpolice.com! To bad so many people got caught in this scam, this one SkinGlow used Céline Dion to attract people. Céline was giving her secret to all her fans for Free, Y’a right! It was all over Facebook’s main page( TOO EASY ) The only way is to cancel your credit card, and when dooing a payment, my credit card rep suggest that i only do small payment so they would not be able to run any more charges, How long will that take?!? who knows? It is probably one of the worst online scam! REALLY DIRTY!

    • HI, FREE TRIALS FOR SKINGLOW AND ALLSKIN PRODUCTS IS HTE BIGGEST SCAM EVER.

PLEASE DO NOT ORDER AND REPORT IMMEDIATELY IF YOU ARE A VICTIM.

THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF. CHARGE YOUR CREDIT CARD MONTHLY WITH DIFFERENT MERCHANT NAMES.

PLEASE PLEASE REPORT! IT’S A FRAUD!!

      • I too have been scammed and cannot find a way to contact. There was an email on my last credit card charge; however, I haev tried twice to email and it bounces back. Each time there is a shipment a new email comes up. where do I report this?

  145. I fell for the Leescens cream, hook, line and sinker. I am so mad. I looked at my account this morning and have a $99.00 charge on my acccount, which made me overdrawn. I emailed the company and of course, I did not receive a copy of my email. SCAMMERS! Do not order the sample.

  146. Please add “Bellacelle” age defying skin serum, to the list. I swear I read the small print and didn’t see anything about the “14 day trial”, etc. ~ At 64 yrs. old on a fixed income, I would hardly spend $89. a month on skin care to rid my precious face of the wrinkles I have earned! ~ Customer service offered me 25% refund after charging my card the $89. ~ I called the bank, Wells Fargo fraud dept. & forget them. Was reminded how I “accepted” the deal. BLAH, BLAH, BLAH!! Finally got the Bella asswipes to give in to a 75% refund. ~ Luckily, this is the first time this has happened to me since I do order a lot online, but usually know the brand, etc. of what I am ordering.

    • Hi Joyce. I am a victim of the same scam. How did you manage to get a 75% refund? I am in the midst of this mess and will be contacting them soon!

  147. I ordered a free trial of Image Revive Skin cream and eye serum. After ordering I realized I had made a huge mistake and tried to cancel the order. I spoke to a rep and was told that I could not cancel until I had tried the product. As of this day, Nov. 19,2016 I haven’t received any product from them. I ordered it on Nov. 10, 2016.
I have 14 days from the date I ordered to try it and return to cancel. This company is unscrupulous, they make sure that you don’t receive the product in time for you to try and cancel. I called my credit card company and cancelled my card as well as a dispute rep who had me stay on the phone while they contacted this company.
They gave me a RMA # on both products to return them and a cancellation #. I now have till Dec. 18, 2016 to return these products to them but as of today I haven’t received the product. I will never order online again.
I hope that no one else will not get scammed by these companies. I would love to see them go to jail for their acts. My credit card has been cancelled and I will not activate my new card until such time as I know this is truly cancelled. Lucille

  148. Well I feel better that I’m not the only one that has fallen for this scam. Please add New Skin to the list. Christy Brinkley was shown endorsing the product. I received an email notice that the shipment I ordered was on it’s way with no other information such as a number to call. I sent a reply and received a number to call. The customer service guy first told me he would give me his employee discount, I told him that would not work. He said he would cancel my account but I would have to accept the shipment. I said I guess it was my own fault for believing something was “free”. Then I googled New Skin and found this forum. Now I’m mad and will call my credit card company! Thanks for this information!!!!

  149. Skin opulent was one of the modern day online scammer, similar modus. they said it was Angelina Jolie’s company. the banking institutions should once and for all block listed this scammers company for good! they owe it to their clients protection

  150. Skin Opulent is one of them it was advertised as Angelina Jolie’s bull shit company. they would not cancel even if you call them.
my wife was a victim of this FRAUD.

  151. Hello,
My elderly mother was duped into signing up for Amore Skincare and they keep sending this garbage and charging her credit card! I’ve only just become aware of this. I’ve gone on their website but naturally there is absolutely no way to cancel this scam of a product let alone contacting them! What would you recommend I do? Contact the BBB? Call her credit card company? I’d hate to have to cancel her card! Please help!

    Thank you

    • Hello, Maureen! You or your mother can call her credit card company and dispute the charge. Also, when a company charges your credit or bank card they generally include contact info in the description line. Usually it’s only a partial address, but there should be a complete phone number (on your statement) which shows as a series of 10 numbers at the end usually starting with 800 or 888 or some other 800 number. If you don’t see it, call the credit card company or bank and ask them for whatever contact info they have concerning that particular charge and they should be able to provide you with at least the phone number. Best wishes!

  152. You can add Radix Eye Cream and AnaVie Skin Serum to the list of scams. I’m having the same experience with them that others here have been describing. Buyer beware!

  153. Thank you for this information online. Unfortunately, I read it too late before I was scammed and dinged for almost $400/-. These products are being advertised all over facebook and gullible people are being scammed into buying the product. Is there a way we can block these being advertised on facebook as scam?

    Thank you,

  154. Please add Nuvira Anti-aging Skin Serum to your list. I believe they advertised on Facebook. I am out 138.80 at this point. Same deal as everyone else – did not see anything saying I was signing up for a monthly subscription, got the product after paying 4.95 s&h (billed by a company called Health Effects) and soon afterward was billed 99.15. When I called I was informed of what I had signed up for. I asked for it to be canceled and my money refunded and she said why not give it more time, I’ll extend your trial until Nov. 14th and then as long as you cancel before … I was pretty certain that she agreed to a refund if I called before that, but I know she also mentioned a 65% discount if I continued. Today (11/10/16) I see another charge on my account for 34.70. I called and said please cancel me and return my money! No, they could not do that. No refunds! I said, I don’t want another shipment and I will refuse it. Doesn’t matter. No refunds! She did say she was cancelling my agreement, though, so I just hope I don’t get anymore charges, and I will be requesting that my bank not pay this latest charge. I also reported them to the BBB (no listing for them, of course) and to Scambook, and I will post on Facebook as well. This is outrageous that they can apparently get away with this type of stuff!!

    • Hi Kathleen,

I too am in the same boat as you. I want to educate and inform as many ppl as possible of these scam artists on facebook, thats where I saw this commercial and ordered my product.

I am glad to have connected with this group.

      Thank you.

      Nancy

      • Nancy I am with you but although this site is a great connection. PUBLIC MEDIA I think would be the answer. These companies (which are all connected) have the legalities covered between the lines in their terms and conditions, which are on each website even though you may have to search for them but “BEWARE” because they disappear as soon as you fill in the form and guess what disappears with the terms the only contact information you will ever find. Believe it or not they are not considered “Scams” maybe Deceptive Trade Practices which I would think most website so called stores practice

    • I just got involved in the same product but I don’t know who to call or should I just cancel my credit card.

      • You don’t need to cancel your credit card. Just tell them you want to dispute the charge(s). Also, as I told Maureen above, on your statement where the charge is listed, along with the name of the company, there should be contact info – an address (probably only partial) and a phone number (series of 10 digits beginning with an 8). If not, ask the credit card company to provide you with the contact info they have as it should be more complete on their end. They should be able to provide at least a phone number. Then call the company and demand cancellation and a refund (which they told me they don’t do, but try anyway). And best wishes!

      • cancel your credit card…my girlfriend got an email confirming her cancellation but a month later they charged her visa again!! There is no other way out!

        • I also went through the hassle of disputing 2 charges on my credit card nearly 100 each. The merchant sent my credit card company of the agreement that they said I agreed to. In that agreement there’s a line that says if you asked for RMA and return within 30days you could get full refund. Therefore, I redid the dispute based on that and so far I have not seen the charges back on my account.
Customer service rep from credit card company advised even if you canceled out the credit card they would still bill the new one so my advice is to call on a recorded line with your credit card company and cancel the subscription and make sure to ask for cancellation order number.

          Good luck!

    • I also fell for this scam on Renaderm and Nuvira Anti-aging Skin Serum. I usually read these things carefully to make sure what I’m actually signing up for. I don’t recall agreeing to any auto shipments at almost $100 ea. I would not have agreed to this. I called the company and they said I agreed to the fine print for a 14 day trial offer and auto shipments. The best they could do is cancel my subscription offer 50% refund. I was not happy about that and then called my CC company who conferenced me in a call to the company that ultimately agreed to refund all charges in full. The call was recorded by CC company and I have a confirmation#. We’ll see in a few days if my charges are reversed.

  155. CALL YOUR CREDIT CARD FRAUD DEPARTMENT. THEY WILL CALL THE NUMBER ON THE BACK OF YOUR PRODUCT FOR YOU, STAY ON THE LINE WHILE YOU TALK TO THEM, AND WILL PUSH FOR YOUR REFUND AND GET CANCEL CONFIRM NUMBERS, AND GET THE MONTHLY CHARGES REMOVED AND IF THEY TRY TO CHARGE YOUR ACCOUNT AGAIN THEY WILL BLOCK

  156. Etereal Skin Care- is another scam tried calling customer service and cannot get an answer. Cannot fine anyone to talk to. I sent the samples back and wrote letter and hope that helps. I told them not to send me and more skin care, hope it works.

  157. Lucienne Skin Care is the same.
However, We shut off my moms credit card, and realized that her order was on Sept 30, and card was debited for 2 shipping costs under two names and phone numbers. The tracking # they kindly supplied shows that it was not delivered until the 7th.
They took $84.95 on the 15th and $84.95 on the 16th.
Hoping because they billed her card before the allotted time we will prevail…..

  158. RISERENEW – Stay clear of this product. Here’s what I stupidly agreed to: It was impossible to call within the established timeframe because the product arrives almost at the deadline. I am out 89.72 and 94.67. OFFER TERMS: By placing your trial order today you’ll be shipped a 30 day supply of Rise Renew for $4.95 S&H. Try it for 18 days (14 days trial plus 4 days shipping) to experience the benefits and if for any reason this product is not for you, call our Customer Care toll-free at 888-532-5113 within your 18 days (14 days trial plus 4 days shipping) trial period to cancel. You must call to cancel within 18 days (14 days trial plus 4 days shipping) to cancel your trial, otherwise you will be charged $89.72. If you are satisfied, do nothing and you agree to be charged $89.72. Plus you agree to be enrolled in our VIP Membership Program and 45 days from your initial order date and every 30 days thereafter, you will receive a fresh supply of your product for $89.72 (Plus $4.95 Shipping & Handling). Cancel your VIP Membership at anytime. Please read our terms and conditions for more details. Offer available while supplies last. Bank of America would not back me up. Said I gave my credit card number so I am liable for the merchant’s cancellation policy. Really, BA, I have three other banks and I will be using their cards from now on. Basically, I paid over 180.00 for about two ounces of some cream

    • In my case I called to cancel on the 16th day and merchant still refused full refund. They offered 35% refund so I took the refund and got cancellation confirmation number and dispute it with credit card company. The merchant then sent the agreement that they said I agreed to but in the agreement there’s a line says if you aren’t satisfied with the product within 30days you could ask to return and get a full refund which they never bothered to let you know. Therefore I disputed the 2nd time based on that line and so far I haven’t seen the charges back on my account. Hopefully, my experience would help and perhaps one less victim to this scam.

  159. Ev derma is a COMPLETE scam!! I called to cancel within the 14 “trial period” and they wouldn’t let me then I called again and they said I was outside of the time period. Offered to refund 75% of the $200 they stole from me. I am having to dispute it with my bank because the person I talked to Rebecca Walker who said she “owned the business” would not refund my money. Scam scam scam!!!! Do NOT order this product. It doesn’t work and I had to close my bank account to keep them from stealing more money!!!

  160. I too signed up for a “free trial”. What a scam…. I called to cancel and was informed that I had agreed to the terms and conditions of their auto reship program at checkout. NEVER SAW IT…. the representative then said no refunds allowed. I refused to accept that answer and he then informed me that as a favor to me he would authorize a refund of 35%. I SAID NO WAY…. I was on the phone with him for at least 30 minutes. I kept refusing to accept his bulls$^% and his refund percent kept going up. He finally said that he would get in trouble but give me 75%. I told him if he could give 75 he could give 100. Guess what? He did (or at least I received an email saying he did) I will be calling my bank and disputing charge to just in case.

  161. Well I got a call into the customer service for EV Derma and Plush Cell Active and my results were better than what some others have stated. I am though only getting back the 35% on each product; $32.76 and $32.40 ($65.16), of my $186.20 and I still have to call them back within the next 30 days to cancel any further shipping, she couldn’t or wouldn’t terminate the order immediately. So I will call them back tomorrow. I also have my bank disputing the remaining amount.
BUYER BEWARE- read the fine print and find the “No Thanks” button.

  162. HI!
EV Derma and Eye Plush – Didn’t do my home work and even looked for the auto ship thing but failed to find it. Just got notified this morning about the extra charges. What’s worse is that after I accepted the initial desired EV Derma the screen jumped to the Eye Plush and there was no where to say no to the additional add on. So both items showed up as you said 5 days after I ordered it, Full size and all. 14 days my ass! No warning on the charge of $92.59 and $93.61. I will attempt to call them this morning and see what kind of response I get and will up date here. If I don’t get a descent response this is going on FB. Social media has some benefits just wish I had seen this before.

  163. Does anyone have a phone number of this company so I can cancel immediately before I get charged? Thank you.

  164. I am pissed off that I fell for these scams. I just got off from a phone call telling the companies (Lumella – Intensive Eye Serum and Alucia) of these beauty products telling them about another charge that they are charging my account. I told them to refund my money and was told i signed up for it and it was stated in the fine prints, just like you said. I am a victim exactly as you have described here in this article. Anyway, part of it I admit was my fault for falling for these. I was told at first that they can only refund 25% and told them that wasn’t good enough so he raised to 50% and he said that is all they can do. As I was demanding for that refund the representative over the phone kept offering me things and I told him (Mark)that I am done with their company and was going to report them to the BBB and also had to cancel my bank account with Chase about these transactions and experience. Anyway, let us see if they are true with their word of refunding part of the charge. Too disappointed and mad about this experience.

  165. Sorry about the typos in my post. The most important correction is “After reading about your – not our -product…”
Thanks again. I’m grateful that so far it seems that this “order” will be cancelled, so I’m a little luckier than some. But perhaps this company’s name should be added to the list, as there are at lest 3 complaints.

  166. Add NouvaLift to this list as well. My GF clicked on an add on Facebook and ordered two samples on her phone. She just got hit with an $89.99 and a $99.99 charge. She swears there were no terms and conditions and there was NO checkbox. She’s already cancelled her card and disputed the charges. We’ll see where it goes from there.

  167. Sorry about the typos in my post. The most important correction is “After reading about your product…”
    Thanks again.

  168. Thanks, everone, for sharing your experience, and thanks very much, Supplement Police! You prvide a great service. I wish I had found your site sooner.
I wrote this note to AbellaMayfair:

“After reading about our product, which was presented as a news item about Joy Behar leaving the view to focus on the Abella business, I decided to order the free sample. However, after giving my details, including my credit card number, I could not proceed any further to finalise the order. I did not get to read any further information, such as terms of the purchase. The webpage kept me on a loop, each one asking me to buy something else. Why was this happening? Mainly, I would like to know if the order went through – the order for just the sample.”

This is the reply I received:

“I would just like to clarify, that we advertise our product as a Free Trial, meaning there is a duration. And you’ve accepted to our Terms & Condition that once you exceeded the 14 day trial period, we will then automatically charged you with the full cost amount of the product, because the product that you’re going to received is the actual product that we sell to our customer for you to try in 14 days. Again this is NOT A SAMPLE, we only sell Abella Mayfair as a trial, which turns into a subscription or individual bottles. Pls. see the terms of service that you signed up for: http://abellamayfair.com/terms/ Upon checking on your account, you placed a trial of 90 seconds Rapid Wrinkle Control Cream and Maximum Moisture 24 hour day and night Cream.”

I can assure everyone that there was no information about terms and conditions, and there was no box. In addition, I had definitely declined the second `sample’, did not order it. When I clicked on the link Paul said contained the terms, this is what came up: http://trubelleza.com/terms/

A different name! In response to my next note repeating that there was no such information as he said, I got this reply, in part:

“I would like to inform you that your order for the Abella Mayfair products has been cancelled and we are not going to ship the bottle per your request.
If you would consider keeping the shipment, I can offer you a one-time charge of $39.95 for one full bottle, 3 bottles for only $99.95 or 5 bottles for only $149.95. These all are one-time offers. No subscription, No monthly recurring.”

Now I only have to find out what he meant by these contradictory statements – “not going to ship the bottle”…”if you would consider keeping the shipment”

    • 1877-497-1088 There is something not right, I received two products in one envelope with no instructions plus the printing is so small on the product bottle I had to use my magnifying glass to read it. Also I find it odd that 3 other ads for this type of product use the same people to recommend their products ? Something sounds fishy. It cost me $13.83 in shipping.

    • You should be able to find their number by contacting your credit card company. I would recommend you to have your credit company’s dispute representative to call the number on the recorded line with you. Good luck!

    • Cancel your credit card and replace it. Otherwise look for small print on the bottle it has a 800 number on it and a email. Skin opulent is the name was joy Behar false ad.
      Cut your loses!

  169. Watch out for Lamore Skin products or Azienda Skin serum or cream offers. They led me to believe I was getting a trial sample. September 11th, 2016 I agreed to try a 14 day sample of a serum and a cream, assuming that if I liked the results I would re-order. I was told I would be charged $3.95 for one and $4.95 for the other. The day after I ordered I went to a business meeting as was gone for a week. During that time a box with both products was delivered. I tried both products, have not noticed any difference. So, I figured I just would not order any more. Tonight I was checking my checking account and discovered 2 charges, one for $98+ and the other for $97+. I then decided I better check back on my September statement and found 2 more charges on the 27th of the month $97+ & $98+. I looked back on my emails from September 11th and I received 2 emails one confirming the $3.95 charge and the other confirming the $4.95 nowhere did it mention the need to cancel in 14 days. So, I called the number that was on the email and the young man on the line told me I could only send the product back for refund if the package was not opened. How do you try something out without opening? The young man continued to read his script about how much I will love the product. I asked several times to speak to his supervisor but he refused and offered only to cancel future orders. I asked about the October 13th charges for product I have not received and he told me it has been shipped and he can’t cancel it. I did get a confirmation number and instructions for returning the new shipment. I am most regretting that I used my debit card. I should have used my credit card, at least then most credit card companies protect you from this type of scam. I am sure there was not a disclaimer that said I would have auto shipments or huge charges… if so, I never would have ordered. Hopefully this post will save another unsuspecting victim.

    • My experience was even more bizarre. I logged on my Chase account online and was asked to take a brief survey for chase and if I did so, would get a free gift. One of the few free gifts was L’Amour skin cream. Lo and behold, I finally got it out of L’Amour that this was in actuality a subscription and that they were in a partnership with Chase. So shady that Chase would divert their customers to something like this. Am contemplating closing my account with them.

  170. I’m glad I found this site right away. I recently sent for the free trial thing and soon after realized I made a mistake and started researching it. I got charged $10 on my card. Called credit card company. They couldn’t credit it but gave me numbers to get the trial thing canceled. I was able to cancel over the phone and got a confirmation number, which I have my card company. They told me these people won’t be able to charge my account any further. I will wait and see. The trial company said they’d send email confirmation. Yet to see it, so hopefully it worked and only out $10. Never again will try for free trials of anything

  171. Please add Royalty Skin Cream products to the list. I went back into the same sight under a different person and NOWHERE does it say anything about continuing charges.

  172. Please add two more of these skincare scammers https://naturalbeautyskincream.com/ and https://essencehealthyskin.com/
You’ve described all the details that I went through. I had my credit card company dispute center representative on the phone with me when we placed the call the to the skincare customer service. By canceling the subscription, I was giving a lecture that I should practice better communication skill by their rep. I won’t know till tomorrow that whether I could dispute the charge from CC but I know for sure I will request a new card for security purpose.

  173. I order a free trail from Youth Beauty Body for the cost of shipping, but there was no agreement listed. I want to send the sample back but there is no return address. I have called the number several time but have not spoken to representative yet. Ithe puts you hold for 45 minutes and then hang up. The number is 18774971088. The product is Lumini-Serum. Be aware.

    • PLEASE HELP does anyone have the number to call and cancel luminis and Belle epoque? I was also scammed and I’m trying to stop orders but invoice has no phone number and I cannot locate on Google

      • In my case, I also couldn’t find their number. So I called my credit card company for their number. That’s when their customer service rep told their number is on the bottle.

  174. Add to your list:
    Aquarefine, anti aging serum
    Revine, anti aging eye cream

I ordered a free trial “bottle” (free if you pay about $5 for shipping) of the Aquarefine on 9/17/16, started entering the order information, realized that the form I was filling out was actually for Revine, I briefly scanned the product info quickly, saw that they were offering the same deal, free trial “bottle” of product ($5 shipping) figured what the heck, I’ve spent more than that on products at Wal-Mart, proceeded with order. After entering all my info, I realized I didn’t have to go back and re-order the Aquarefine because it was already ordered. HMMMMMM. But I didn’t click on that. If it knew I wanted the Aquarefine then why did the Revine pop up? O well, just a one time free trial bottle, no biggie. Card was charged for the shipping amounts, products came in the mail. Used them both a couple days, Meh, they were only $5. Until TODAY when I discovered 2 transactions processing out of my bank account, one from a company called Youthful Transformations for $98.66, and one from a company called Beautiful Glowing Skin for $97.43. Called bank immediately and cancelled my card. Called the co. Beautiful Glowing Skin and cancelled subscription. Asked for name and cancellation confirmation, they told me I would get an email. Realized again I was deal. ing with 2 different companies apparently, called Youthful Transformations to cancel that one too, and they already knew I cancelled. I’m angry. Scam rip off. I went back and entered fake info like I was gonna order again, and screen shot every page of the ordering process. Never ever ever does it say anything about a subscription. I want to cry, scream, yell, hit things! I feel so stupid. I was duped. I am generally skeptical. O God! I am sooooooo angry right now. I still havnt received an email confirmation of cancellation. GRRRRRRR

    • I would suggest to have your credit card company to make the call on the recorded line with you and get a cancellation confirmation number.

  175. Add Dermaserre to this also. They charged my card $89.96 saying that I didn’t cancel the 14-day trial before it ended. That would have been today. Placed order on 9/15 and I asked to be transferred to a supervisor and the supervisor said the charge is legit because the 14 days started the day I ordered and that it said so in the terms and conditions where I checked the box agreeing. There was never a box and only terms listed at bottom of page which say nothing about trial starting the day ordered. It says that you get 10 days to try + 4 days for transit. In my world transit means the day that it was shipped which was the day after order was placed. They also said that it says it terms that day 1 is the day order is placed and that’s not true. Called bank because charge was only pending and they deleted it but said merchant can try and send through again. But they are just telling a bold face lie regarding the terms and conditions and I’ll do everything in my power to prevent them from trying to send payment through again. I could get a new card but I have so many things tied to that card and it would be a huge hassle. B

  176. Lucienne Cream and Eye Serum! SCAM, Buyer BEWARE~!!!!!!!!
This is the same product scam so many are talking about here. Same set up nice video ( Probably fake) product order for ” free” just pay for shipping” at $4.95 and in the process they conveniently get eye serum in your order with a very difficult way to not get it. ( Ordering system set up so you can refuse it and it gets added to your added.) So the order is complete and you are getting two products, one that you didn’t want. 14 day trial is in small print and gets missed. Sure enough on day 15 two $89 charges appear on CC. I called CS at this company. No bending even though it was a Monday after the 14 day limit ( day 16) After a bunch of complaining and saying this is just wrong and a scam, the representative gave me a 35% reduced rate. I threatened to fight it with CC company and he said, ” no one wins these. You need to provide this, and this and this, etc and like others here have stated, and theres no invoice in the box to use. Complete SCAM! Lesson learned. The product is just skin cream AND EYE SERUM TO HELP WITH WRINKLES, BUT NOT WORTH THE $160 CHANGE FOR 1 OZ OF THIS STUFF. BUYER BEWARE~! DO NOT FALL for it. You will lose your money!

    • I recently had this happen to me. When I received this product, there was no shipping form in the box. I then received my credit card bill and found the charges. I promptly called the credit card company and they advised to contact the company. I tried, but the phone is always busy and they tell you that they will call you back. To no avail. I called at 7:30 am this morning, got a representative and told him (Lenny was his name) that I wanted to return the product. Told me I couldn’t and there were no returns. I badgered and threatened and he offered a 50%; then a 75% discount and I said I didn’t want the product and that I wanted the charges taken off my bill. After one hour on the phone, they agreed to remove the $89 and
$84.95 charge from my bill within 3 to 4 days.
This should be a lesson to all who see ads not to fall prey. If you can’t purchase in a reputable store, where you can return anytime, DON’T BUY!!!! REMEMBER “BUYER BEWARE; SCAMS ARE OUT THERE AND I THOUGHT I WAS A SAVVY SHOPPER. BY THE WAY, I DID AGREE TO THE $24.95 & THE $4.99, AS I DID ORDER SAME. LET’S HOPE THEY COME THROUGH WITH THE REFUND. I HAVE ALREADY CONTACTED THE CREDIT CARD COMPANY. MARIE, SEPTEMBER 28, 2016 @10:24 AM

      • Please add Lumella eye cream. They did the same thing with me as mentioned by others. I have disputed the charges with my credit card.

    • You can go directly to the CC or your bank and get your money back. They are aware of some of these scams. Your CC and bank don’t care about them, only you, their customer. If they don’t want to cancel the product, notify your financial institution and get a new card. They can only draw off the CC number given to them. I also tell my bank that I never received any product. That’s good enough for them.

      • I wish it was true that the banks fight for you but that is not true I thought twice and they declined my request for a refund it’s been really difficult and I’m really frustrated with the fact that they don’t see that these scammers are scamming people and they do nothing to help I bank with Chase Bank so that’s probably the issue

        • That is weird. I fell for the scam as well, but Chase was excellent. They refunded every charge, 4 adding up to about 398.00, and now if I even enter the wrong pin number they call me to make sure it was me using the card. How was your’s finally resolved?

  177. Please add Amore Skin Care and Eye Care treatment to this list of scams. I NEVER thought I would be a victim of such a scam, but this company is an expert scammer. I got a 75% credit, and consider it a life lesson but sooooo angry that this type of organization continues to operate and get by with such underhanded practices. I am more angry with myself for falling for their line of BS

  178. Hi, I send for a trial, and I moved where I was living, and my roommate denied that she get the product, so I sent a reply not to send anything else to the address, but now I have the surprise that they charge me U$93 for something that I never used.
Please tell me what to do

    • Call your financial institution and tell them you never received any product and take the charge off your acct. I would also ask for a new card to avoid any potential future charges.

  179. Add Neuphoric Ageless Skin to the scam list. I too o Derek a free 14 day trial of a product that was demonstrated on the arms. They showed it being lavished on and major Improvements. I paid $3.86 for shipping and received a .5 oz bottle of face cream. No packing slip or info included. Used up in a couple days and threw away bottle assuming I was done only to find a charge on my credit card for$89.95. When I called, the CSR was abrupt and kept interrupting and correcting me. Told me I signed agreement and all. She offered to refund half of what I paid, I said no and then she offered a 75% refund. I continued to tell her no. Told her I was going to call my credit card company and report to BBB. She started interrupting me again and when I said “why must you keep interrupting me.” She said that she was going to refund full a,ou got and cancel subscription. I will be waiting to see about the refund in 3-5 days and take legal action if it does not come. I never even got an email confirmation of the order or anything in wrighting. I was foolish and learned my lesson. What is sad is that these companies actually employ people who get a percentage of the “deal” they are able to strike with the caller. I wonder how many just accept the 50% refund. God will bless them accordingly.

  180. There is a place in hell waiting for the people running these scams. I thought I was getting two samples from Bellacelle for shipping costs only. $4.95 and $5.95. The offer was on my cell phone as a pop up ad, and I unfortunately clicked on it and put in my credit card info. I didn’t notice anything about being charged $180 two weeks later. The fine print was small enough I sure didn’t see it. It maxed out that credit card and taught me to NEVER buy anything that way again. I didn’t notice anything about the products in the ingredients or results any better than the cheap stuff I get at Walmart.

    • So I noticed the small print and everything but when they advertisee the number for you to cancel the product they can’t find you in their system not until you get charged on your statement is when you see the correct number that you can call and cancel but it’s already too late because they have already charged you.

      It’s BS!!

  181. I got scammed by filling in a survey for hydroplenage free trial skin products. It was slickly done by saying all you need to do is fill out your form to pay for the shipping. I received two dinky skin products and later found on my Master card bill, £89.00 (twice) was deducted. I immediately called customer service at my bank and explained the situation. We have to pay for the latest Mastercard bill, but they will block further attempts for the on-going deduction by these scam artists. I did call the free trial skin place and told them I want to be CANCELLED for any other products. He asked how I liked the skin products – duh. I said I want to cancel it all – he finally said he would, we’ll see.

    • Another ‘free trial’ (yes duped again) was ecigswarehouse Bushey Heath located in UK. I saw £73.00 on Master Card and they have the number to cancel. This is an on-going process where Bushey Heath will send this payment each month. So I called them with the number they listed on card and said I want to cancel further orders. He asked me if my husband enjoyed the cigs and how many he smoked. I mentioned that was irrelevant and all I want to do is CANCEL. I finally gave the phone to my husband who replied he hated the e-cigs, and now I have a confirmation email saying it was cancelled.

  182. EcoMaxx Eye Rejuvenation and Anti-Aging Cream… SCAM SCAM SCAM exactly as described in the article. Dishonest and MISLEADING!!!!!!

    • How do we contact this company to stop them from scmming. I totally thought it was just plain sample. I saw it to be around 5.oo only total priced sample and I did not see anything else. I trusted them not until I saw the charge in my checking account and hapapen to be sunday. I called the number and I hope they are there on Monday. I tried to get the bank dispute but they said I first have to call them before they do. they have a number attached to the charge coming from Utah. 888-9868593 UT for 98.97.

      • You have to see what the skin product is named and then there’s usually a number at the top of the page to contact. Or google in the free skin trial of what you ordered and there might be a number there.

    • Look on your credut card bill for the telephone number. It shows up usually right after the descriotion of the item charged. Good luck.

    • When I originaly ordered the samples I did see anything about auto ship. Went back and pulled up in my history. After it says order complete you can scroll down further in much lighter ink it explains about the auto ship. I would of not ordered the samples had I known of the auto ship and that the products were $89 dollars each. I am an Esthetician and always looking to try new products but it takes me awhile to try these samples. I hadn’t even opened the box when I received my bill for $190.37. I was billed for the full sizes of face and eye creme on 11/14/16 today 12/9/16 and still have not seen the full sizes. My mom got mad and sent the samples back (return to sender). So the only info I had was the phone number was the number on my visa bill. The product was listed as luminous on my visa bill and the number beside it was wrong. The customer service representative was very nice she tried to look up but said it was not one of her companies and does not know†heir number was listed . She even thought is was probably a scam. She was nice to look up the number for Luminous which was on my bill. When I call she again couldn’t find a charge for this with my credit card, but that Luminous was their company and that had the right number. When I called Visa The were not helpful at first until I explained that the numbers where bogus . Now That I Found out the real name of the company is Borealis I am trying to find their phone #. Anyone fins the # please send to me. Thanks How is this legal they mad $197.00 off me!

      • The phone number for Borealis is: 1 (888) 663-9309 They used the company name of FACE CREAM ADVANCED GL on the credit card statement.

  183. hi all ive just been done to the tune of over £100 pounds by ageavata avata is there a number i can phone to stop them taking money out of my account i shall be informing my bank tomorrow to say i been scammed and not to allow them any more money plz help

    • Hi Mick. I had the same shock when I looked at my credit card statement. £89.95 debited!
I found my dispatch note from the delivery and called the number to cancel my ‘subscription’. I got good customer service and I seemed to have cancelled the sub successfully. Obviously I will only know once my next credit card statement arrives. The number to call is 0800 909 8492. The company was called Hydroplanage. They first offered me a 20% discount, and then when I said no, I got offered a 50% discount. Pffff.

  184. I have also had £152.45 taken from my account but did not receive the Hydra Plenage cream. It was advertised by Victoria Beckham as a free sample. I have tried phoning them but they denied taking my money. My bank has blocked the Account.
I also had sample of Raspbery Keytone and they too took £201.55 over a period of time. These to have been blocked.
I am a pensioner and cannot afford to lose this money.
    P. Hoffman

    • That is just pitiful Pamela. I received two dinky samples from Plenage cream and found later they deducted £89.00 (twice) I finally called them and said I want to CANCEL any further orders. What a criminal way to lose money. Also called custom services at bank to block them just in case.

  185. I got scammed by Abella Mayfair. I thought I was dealing with a Canadian Company. They said the product ships in 7-10 days. How can I test my “free” trial and cancel in time? My charges were for $111 and $101 USD!! Crazy since the article that sucked me in went on and on about “affordable”. They initially offered my $50 refund on both then finally they agreed to a full refund if I shipped the product back. SCAMMERS! They said I entered a contract but I was never given a copy of the agreement. I learned my lesson.

    • I live in Canada and was also recently scammed by Abella Mayfair. No use trying to ship back the product because you cannot ship back to a post office box with any courier company that will offer tracking information. I was given a RMA etc and even received an email saying that my subscription was cancelled. I was told to call back and provide the tracking number and they would cancel my subscription. I was lucky to have a low balance on the credit card and able to pay it off and cancel the card. The credit card company pretty much told me too bad too sad, I agreed in the terms…. so I cancelled the card, they were all nice then and said they would send me a new card, which I don’t plan on activating.

      – Lorna

  186. i am a senior lady 80 yrs oldand this company took out of my bank card $95.95 i am on SSI and now i cant pay my rent

  187. Thank you so much for writing this article. Please add Aviqua and Lucana to your list of scam artists. I believe that they have recently renamed and relabeled their products to be Alucia and Lumella. It is really despicable to take advantage of people and get away with it like this. If you know of anyone who has fallen prey to these companies, please have them reported to your credit card company and the Better Business Bureau as soon as possible. Hopefully, they can investigate and help you get your money back.

  188. I NEVER thought a savvy consumer like ME would get caught by one of these pop-up ads. By masquerading as a Canadian company that is reliable and safe and one that I patronize, they fraudulently charged separate shipping fees in US dollars for two items in one box, mailed from Ontario, Canada. I read some of these warnings and immediately emailed the customer service of the company involved. The correspondence was very helpful and official but by avoiding a response to my query for their phone number, they managed to take me past the 14 day “Trial” period. STRANGELY, they were able to cancel my account and prevent any FURTHER shipments. On my Visa was a charge of $130 for EACH jar of cream. I was RAGING. A call to my Visa rep. resulted in a sympathetic voice telling me that they have their butts legally covered with the teeny, tiny print that supposedly tells you to CALL their number ( what number?) if you want to cancel. A call to “Florida” ( INDIA.. HUGE CALL CENTER OPERATION) took over half an hour, a transfer to a supervisor and a threat to sue, for them to eventually agree to refund 50% of the atrocious charges on my credit card. Lesson learned. My skin feels lovely. I will make these 2 jars last for the rest of my life as a reminder to keep my typing fingers off those “Order Now” buttons.

  189. Add: luxdermaskin to the list. Just report it to your credit card company for the fraudulent charge that it is. They should block your current card which takes care of any further charges from these folks. Then issue you a new card.

  190. Add to the list SERUM AND SILQUESKIN. They make it double. Once you get the first product they induce you to take the second and they double charge for a FAKE SUBSCRIPTION FOR A RECURRING CHARGE

  191. Hello everyone. So i had been reading online able these products for women online. Such skin glow…so if my sample is free why in the heck was 93.00 taken out of my account…i called and the the customer service rep had said theres no recod showing my info for this account. So i was told.to go to bank and get a copy of money taken out of my account by this business and it shall be put back in my bsnk .Im yet to even recieve a gmail from them

  192. Must say that Beverly Hills, MD does REALLY offer free trial and DOES actually refund if you are not satisfied. Did not realize how fortunate I was to have chosen an honest company to deal with.

  193. Wish i had seen this before I signed up for the “trial”. I ordered on my cellphone, and I honestly do not remember seeing any fine print on autocharge. I’ve been stuck with an offer like this in the past so I specifically looked. One charge was $89.90 and the other was $94.90 and the product was in tiny little bottles and was crap. I got a 35% refund on each for complaining loudly and like you said they restated the terms and condition. Buyer beware — huge frauds!!

  194. Hi, i did the postage fees thing, received nothing, but two weeks later 89 95 was taken from my account.
Itried calling the number to complain, and got a (calls are barred from this no. recorded messgeMy scam was Ageavate avate cream

  195. All of this is true in spades for LeEscens, which was supposedly touted by Dr. Oz and Christie Brinkley. Like other writers, I did NOT agree to sign up for continued shipments when I ordered the “free trial.” When I received the second shipment…along with a bill for BOTH the free trial ($89) and another for the next shipment ($94), I immediately called and asked to cancel. I was told that I had to notify them within 14 days if I didn’t want the continued shipments, so I agreed to pay for the first one. The customer service person told me that she would close the account and refund the cost of the second shipment and that I didn’t need to send it back. Today, I called because they had NOT refunded the second shipment…and was told that their “policy” was that they did not refund anything. BBB rating on this business…under the name Hashtag…is an F with nearly 1000 complaints. Do NOT fall for the free trial on this product, or it will cost you big time!

  196. I just had the same general experiences that the previous posts have mentioned. There was no mention of even the 14 day trial period or terms of agreement in the sign up that I supposedly agreed to- which I did not!! I did call the number on my credit card info and finally got someone. I hung in there with the customer service rep, and finally agreed to a 75% refund. She started out with a 35% refund and wanted to send more products etc. to compensate me. HA! The product was DERMAFIL. The ad was promoted by Ellen Degeneres and Dr. Oz. Beware and don’t be scammed like I was. I should have known better. An expensive lesson to learn the hard way!

  197. In no way is this legal. My wife fell for it and I looked at the website. There were no terms of any kind in the purchase pages and no agreement check box. The terms were the website terms link at the bottom of the page. It basically said using and viewing the website enters you in the agreement. The FTC has filed a restraining order to stop these scammers while they take them to court. If the FTC says it is criminal why do banks and credit card companies fail to reverse the charges?

  198. Please add Antiagen.com to your list. I called in to cancel and they did not cancel as I requested. When you look at the page to sign–up to get the FREE TRIAL you can not see the info about what will be charged later, if not cancelled(of which I did) but they didn’t have a record of it. A free trail offer turned into the first month charged.

  199. Add Eunisse to this list of scams. Unfortunately, I was suckered into a Vitamin C serum, which technically Eunisse denies as part of their line. I received emails from three different entities, all with different phone numbers. Credit card charges were coming from different merchants including Eunisse, Stunning Skin Care, and Deluxe Eye Therapy for products never even received. I had to fight to be removed from all databases, (three of which I know of) cancel my credit card, and hope that there are no other hacks unseen as this point. DO NOT FALL FOR A MIRACLE CREAM, YOU WILL ONLY DISCOVER YOUVE BEEN SCAMMED. HERE IS THE LINK FOR EUNISSE TO AVOID:

    http://eunisse.net

  200. Do not fall for the scam!!!! I just went through this ordeal it is disatourous that I fell for this! I was charged by two different companies for two different products. It amounted to $350 and I didn’t even receive it until literally after the 14 day trial had already ended.

I talked to both companies, I’m sending the product back to skin serenity company for a 100% refund suposidely and then getting 90% back for the simple solution product. I threatened both companies about having an attorney and that I would make sure that the company would have a lawsuit against them.

I feel terrible for the elders and other people who do not persist with this on getting their money back. It took two phone calls to both company and telling them “No you will listen to me and I’m not taking your bullshit”. Also make sure you get both of the customers reps name and ID number first thing to scare the living wits out of them.

  201. Well I have now been scammed for $369.80 from Toneskin-Luscious Youth Anti-wrinkle eye cream, and Defining cream-Radiant advanced anti-aging serum. They sent me nothing and charged my account. I had to cancel my card and get a new number this morning. I am working through my credit card to solve this for me. Do not fall for this scam.

  202. I had no idea I was signing up for continuing products. Trial items were about $12 for the two, Radient advanced anti-aging serum (now $89.95 for one) and Luscious Youth anti-wrinkle eye cream (now $94.95 for one). I could never afford this and would not have agreed to this if I had known. Another scam, I cancelled both. They informed me that I cannot send it back and cannot get a refund. One said they would refund $47.00, the other said they would send 2 free bottles of eye cream (free I was charged $95) I am not holding my breath. I am going to dispute the charges when they are off pending, but it doesn’t sound like many people had any luck. I guess I will have to cancel this card and get a new number. Live and learn, I will never order anything again!! BE WARNED, THERE ARE ALOT OF SCAMS OUT THERE

  203. Tru Belleza Products is a SCAM! I was to get a free trial for 8.95. They charged my credit card under Beautiful smooth skin now $140.48 and Velvet smooth skin care $126.00 even though I called one phone number. There was nothing to indicate any extra charges in the package. They will not return my money because they say there was a terms and agreement somewhere on the page. This I looked for but never saw anywhere. VISA will not reverse the charges either. I’ve called and cancelled the supposed subscription but am stuck with an expensive lesson. Since they scammed me I doubt if the product is SAFE.

  204. I have the same problem with Revitaline.
    Total SCAM
It doesn’t work . And it’s bullshit that free trial.
It’s amazing the money this companies are making.
We need to make sure people know about it .

  205. Hi all,I sent for a free trial of muscle max and testox max ,after reading the right up and paid £2.99 I thought ,its taken 2weeks to come then I have a text and phone call from my bank for fraud ,they’d tryed to get over a £100 out of my account in two transaction’s using the name of Ageavate.but they didn’t succeed thanks to my bank been on the ball.

  206. I wish I would have read this sooner. Was ripped off by DYN Beauty and Beautiful Skin Now. I ordered a free sample and they ended up adding on another item. When I went to print the page for my records it totally disappeared. Then 14 days later my credit card is charged $93.95 & $93.59. The bank called the both companies and they claimed I signed a contract and refused to refund. Ended up closing my account.

  207. Here’s another – Creme Ultime from “Anti-Wrinkle Cream Shop”, and Serum Jolie from “Fresh-Selection”. I did receive a 50% refund after a long conversation with a customer service rep. My credit card company made the contact for me, which may have made a difference. I received email confirmations of cancellation of my subscription and partial refund of charges. I was told I could send the products back but there was a $15 restocking fee per jar and another $15 fee for something else I can’t remember, totaling $60 for the two products I did not want. The customer service rep at first said she would, as a special favor, refund 25% of the $87 and $89 charges, then when I persisted she put me on hold for a couple of minutes, came back and said because I was so unhappy she would refund 50% and I didn’t have to ship back the products. During the whole call she was trying to convince me that if I just continued to use the product I would see results. At this point I’m just hoping I don’t see another charge next month in spite of having received a refund and a cancellation confirmation. I’m sure the credit card companies are aware of this but legally cannot take action because somewhere on the payment sites the terms are posted. And they make money on it too so perhaps aren’t motivated to spend time and money policing the ever changing online storefronts that take advantage of our impulses.

  208. i am another person caught in the trap, however i sent for a trial offer for some face cream from hexagonal health and beauty it cost me 3 pounds ninety five plus i pound fifty postage ….as soon as i had sent for it i thought im sure it said they would send me the same cream one month later at 29 pounds some .the cream came i rang the company up and said …i want to send it back because i did not want more sending unless i asked for it my self … the bloke was rather rude ,he said send it back tracked post you will get a refund ?the regular first class postage cost me 4 pounds ten pence ….. no refund ..i did get in touch with my bank to cancel any other dealings from them hope fully i will be ok ? im sorry for all the people who have been robbed , it stinks and not of perfume …..

    • ADD RETINOLA SKIN CREME TO THESE SCAM SHISTERS IN NICOSIA, CYPRUS
THEY ATTACH THEIR ADDS TO REPUTABLE COMPANIES THAT ARE ADVERTISING ON THE INTERNET, LIKE COSTCO, THE BAY, DIFFERENT BANKS ,MAKING PEOPLE BELIEVE THIS IS SOMETHING LEGITIMAT, SUDDENLY YOY FIND OUT, THAT BY ACCEPTIN A SAMPLE YOU ARE NOW ENROLLED IN A CONTRACT THAT OBLIGES YOU TO BUY THEIR SHIT ON A MONTHLY BASIS FOR $ 400 +, THE CONTRACT THAT THEY SEND IS OVER 10 PAGES LONG , IT MIGHT BE LEGAL IN CYPRUS, BUT COULD NOT STAND SCRUTINY BY A HONEST LAWYER.

  209. Beware LUCIENNE SKIN CREAM.$ 4.99 shipping turns into a $44.93 charge . Even though I proceeded to check out ignoring all prompts to add additional products to my order. Doesn’t show cart or subtotal until after it processes your payment . Called customer service. Was on hold for 18 minutes to have call disconnect by itself. On hold again and it has been 15 min and waiting still. Credit card company says I can’t do anything until it posts to account .pending transaction not able to dispute

  210. I just requested a new credit card with a new account number from my card company. Seemed like the safest way to not have the same $99.95 mistake next month. I feel bamboozled.

    • I wanted to cancel my Mastercard and get a new one also. But customer service said this wouldn’t work as it is rolled over on your same card. Better check again.

      • You can request your credit card company to block this merchant from further billing you for 15 months. That’s what I did instead of replacing a new card.

  211. Another victim having problems canceling auto ship beauty products. No legitimate phone or email to cancel. Change in company names doesn’t help. Attempting to get bank to block further charges! HELP!!!

  212. Yep I too have been scammed! Bella essence is the name of product. I went to order two trial samples for 4.95 each, however more and more products were being added, so I got out of it, I thought anyway. A few days later I received the two products I didn’t order. Since it was a small amount of money I kept the products thinking this would be the end of it, but no. 2 weeks later they charged my card 200.00. I called bank and canceled card. This was the only thing I could think of to do to insure this doesn’t keep happening. I’ll just chalk the loss of 200.00 up to a lesson learned. How do these people sleep at night?

    • People who are without a conscience and ruining other people’s lives probably sleep like the sociopaths they are.

  213. This is a scam. You order a free trial that costs you 99.95 Do not order free trial unless you want to pay 99.95 RIP OFF

  214. I fell for the scam and ordered 14 day trial and paid £3.95 plus p&p. I have been charged £89.95 which I discovered when checking my online banking. The firm is Hexagonal Health & Beauty and is a UK company. I can’t believe I have been so stupid. I will ring them tomorrow and also contact my bank. I have just emailed their customer services. What else should I do?

  215. I just got off phone with healthy skin and the number on there bottle and website of course does’nt work and finally found on here thank god. These people make me want to scream. They want to give you 35% refund and even after cancelling card and dealing with bank they keep sending me stuff. I got fed up of being billed for unopened items, I finally found a number on here from another complaint and getting half back. I’m so irate right now and think these people are thieves. I tried calling months ago and nothing of course. I filed a complaint with BBB and want to take further action since this is so wrong to do to people. Healthy skin is 844-527-9311 not whats on bottle. I really thought this was a free trial and got scammed and learned my lesson.

  216. Another Autoship Scam from TRU BELLES deserves to be put on the Watch List. At trubelleza.com, they use Instalift Winkle Control, Anti-Winkle Moisturizer and Age Defying Serum to trick customers into providing credit cards information. By searching ‘Tru Belleza’ at complaintsboard.com, all the complaints are there.

  217. My mother-in-law got scammed by UniSy Cream. Has promised for months a refund… now after 6 months of promises.. the will NOT refund…

This goes beyond scam… it is now in the rehlm of fraud (when they keep lying to you).

Stealing from those in Nursing Homes.. How much lower can people go?

  218. I have been scammed by products called “Eye Complex, Anti-aging Serum, Eye Restore” and the second product called “Skin Complex Rx, Skin Restore” I contacted the company online when I ordered the trial, I saw they were placing orders and charging my card for more products. I believe my contact was on their site or by email, but it could have been a conversation. The company issued credits to my credit card when I contacted the on 3/31/2016 and told them I don’t want any products. On 4/14/16 they charged me $89.50. On 5/13/16 they charged $94.90. So far, I have only received one product other than the trial.

The credit card company dispute rep. called the co. The person was very rude. He offered a 35% refund which I refused. After continually talking to him he said he issued a credit for $94.90 but would not issue a credit for April. He kept saying they were 2 different products and he would not issue a refund. I told the credit card rep. to dispute the charge of $94.90. I am supposed to see the credit of $89.50 in 3 to 5 business days according to the rude customer service.

  219. I was also caught in this “Free trial offer Scam”! I ordered just the “Nuessence Age Defying skin serum.” I also received Rejuvenating eye cream, in the same box. I did not order the eye cream, but since shipping was only $5 more, I let it go… After discovering they charged me a full $89.85 and $89.10, I was shocked! (from two different companies) I called the the two phone numbers on my credit statement, for these transactions. Since then I’ve had many, many problems reaching any one, or having the person hang up! Finally I got some one, who refused to give me a supervisor. They said I could not return it, but after and hour, they offered me %50 off each of the two products, take it or leave it! This was my only option,so reluctantly I took it. I canceled the auto ship, and was told if 2nd shipment came, just return it to where it came from. Another shipment did come, I returned it, but my credit card and I, are still disputing the charges! This is such a huge problem for me. I talk to my Credit card every few days, my case is still unresolved, my credit card is blocked, the company insist charges are valid, my statements are a confusing upsetting mess! The names used for the transactions are “Carehealth” with a TX phone, and “Pro Skin Natural” a NY # What else can I do?

  220. Beware Array skin care product $9.95 online offer!! 2 little bottles arrive & I get charged 11.82$ the day I call & order. 2 weeks later they use my card and charge me $79.95 the day before yesterday & 89.95$ yesterday!!! I will never EVER order any “trials” again! Also, who in their right mind is going to pat 185.00$ for 2 little bottles of cream? SHAM. I demanded a 170$ refund- DEMANDED! I will give them their 3 to 5 days to get that back on my card & then cancel that card. I’m still fuming from my conversation with this company today, and their sheer nerve makes me want to REALLY go after them!

  221. I got a call from the company VITILINE after I paid for shipping. I said to cancel it since the woman didn’t even know who Kristy Brickly was! And she said she’s not aware of it being on Dr Oz?!?! I only pray that it has been canceled as I requested TWICE!!!

  222. I ordered a skin creme and eye serum from an ad on Facebook. When I was charged almost $90 for each product, I called the company. I was told my money would be refunded. No joy yet. This company is L’Amour of Newcastle, DE. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM.

  223. You can add “Revitaline” to your list. Charged me 89.97 for the face creme and $85.97 for the eye creme. So much for a free trial! Customer service said I agreed to the “14 Day” free trial. Well if I did it sure was NOT obvious or I would never have tried it. After threatening to call credit card company he reduced the charge to 1/2 off each product. I guess I should have pressed him further. Live and learn!

  224. I’ve had issues as well but they seemed to be with US companies. My experience was totally different when I ordered some skin care through an Australian company – SKN Complex. I had ordered my trial and as I was away when it arrived I only had a few days left so I rang them and they were more than happy to extend the date for so I got the full 14 days to trial it. I ended up liking the products so kept them although I did cancel the auto-ship. I still buy their facelift & eye cream directly from their website whenever I run low.

Maybe its the size of the company that’s the issue – the bigger they are the less personal and uncaring they become.

  225. I set up a dispute with my credit card company, and canceled my card and had a new one reissued. I called alluracell again and asked them to refund my money and I would return the $89.97 product. They offered me a 35% refund. I told her to get a supervisor or manager and she said none were available, when I told her that I canceled my credit card and disputed the charges with my credit card company, she put me on hold and came back with the offer to refund me 100% of $89.97 and sent an email confirmation of the credit. Do not be bullied! You do not have to pay these charges. Credit card companies are on your side!

  226. Yep…..scammed….and sure wish I had known this info before “signing up” for the “free trial”. Is there any recourse with the bank credit card company (Commerce Bank) to retrieve the ensuing charges created by this hidden “free charge” scam? I am getting charged by Supremia Anti-Aging Formula and Prima Snake Venom Peptide Cream $89.98 for 2 shipments and $89.99 for 2 Shipments, which I didn’t actually accept. Had phoned bank immediately upon seeing the first shipment charges inquiring as to what it was. Bank informed me they would investigate and in turn, was strongly suggested the charges would be cancelled. But……bank did not cancel saying “no error was found and dispute is declined due to all transactions prior to date of cancellation considered valid”. Bank said should call company for any further refund. HAH!!!! Is there anything further I can do or do I just have to pay for this scam??
    Sincerely,

    • I just got off the phone with the company I got the hydrolux snake venom peptide cream and cellavia advanced eye gel…at first they offered me a 35% refund, as you can imagine I didn’t know whether to laugh at them or reach through the phone and choke them for the insult! Anyway after fighting with them and several holds I’m getting 75% Back I suppose it’s better than nothing or the BS 35% they initially offered! i will be closing my credit card for sure and I feel really dumb for falling for this, I know better! Anyway I had a really hard time finding a phone # for them and as another writer suggested it was on the jars so here’s the # 844-527-9311. All I can suggest is DO NOT GIVE UP! Fight them until you get what you are willing to settle for I lost a little over $50 which sucks (and the products aren’t worth 5 cents!) but it’s better then losing $180!

  227. Hi…I ordered a trial skin care and of course got scammed. They are now charging my credit for a product I don’t want. I tried to call both companies but it says their mailbox is full or that the person is busy and to leave a message but nobody ever calls you back. I got the trial from only one company, but now there is another different company charging my credit card too. My credit card company cannot help me because I got the trial. These company are: Healthy Skin – Phone 1 888 588-0349
and Beautiful Me Forever – Phone 1 702852-1780. Is there any way that I can get my money back. Help and thanks for reading. Francine Boudreau

  228. thanks but already scammed too. not only the charge for 4.99 twice, but an additional charge of $44.90. I called numerous times, rings once then nothing. Finally someone answered and I told her the story and she hung up on me. I do hope they do not continue to charge my card….but thanks I will be watching, and hopefully going to the bank and/or lawyer to see what I can do. Should have never done this since I was not able to pay with PayPal, which snuffs out these scams.
NAMES Supremiaskincare.com or [email protected] 888-982-3637 (listed as Premium Green Coff on bill or GCESUPREME.COM) or premieraskinsv.com or [email protected] on email and on bill ATLASML*PREMIUMGRE 855-646-3939

  229. I noticed my credit card had a balance when I had not charged anything recently so when i called my credit card 200.00 had been charged from this scam company. I immediately disputed it and closed out my card, unfortunately I don’t know if I’ll get my money back. How are they getting away with this? Nothing but a bunch of scam artist fu- -heads smiling to the bank don’t be a victim!!!

  230. I am already a victim. My sad experience was exactly same as youve written, 14 day trial starts from the day ordered (not when received), Customer service certainly had a really bad attitude, answers are like mumbles, and phone reception seems intentionally bad. Called 2x and reached the same person. I asked for the supervisor, and after a long pause, then music, click (hangup). On the second call I asked whats the best time to call supervisor, she said 6am-9am.
Will try to call again tomorrow and try. 14 day trial should not start when its in transit.

    • I called couple of times, all of them gave the same crap excuses, “the supervisor is not available” “we can’t reach the super” “we will have the supervisor to call you back within 24 hours, if they don’t call, call back at the same time”(and of course no one called and when you called them back, no response)!

  231. Douglas
WOW! You have nailed this scam right down to
the fine details. My question is this, how do we
get this out to the general public and the banks
    and Credit card companies?
    Douglas

    • wondering this myself HOW do we get our money back Any ideas. The 14 trial days should atsrt on receipt of product surely someone can use this to stop this fraudulent activity?
NEVER order Abella Mayfair products they are a scam

      • File a claim in small claims court where you live. It will be less expensive for them to settle than to pay travel expenses for an employee to appear in court.
