Scentbird is a fragrance subscription service that sends you a monthly supply of the fragrance of your choice every 30 days in exchange for a $15 per month subscription fee.

The company has a collection of over 450+ scents from which to choose, including many designer and niche fragrance options. You’re encouraged to try new scents and explore the wide world of options the fragrance industry has to offer.

Fragrances are available for both men and women. You can choose from a wide variety of perfumes and colognes. Some of the top options available through the service include fragrances from Dolce & Gabbana, DKNY, Fendi, Gucci, Lacoste, and many others.

Scentbird is independent of any fragrance manufacturer and offers genuine fragrances made by the real brands listed. You get one mini bottle of a fragrance each month to try, including one reusable carrying case with your first order. That bottle promises to last for one full month.

How Does Scentbird Work?

Using Scentbird is straightforward. Here’s how the subscription service works:

Not sure which type of fragrance you want? Scentbird actually has a way to help you choose more easily. It’s called Tru Scent and it promises to help you find your dream scent. Tru Scent’s Recommender tool consists of a database of thousands of scent profiles along with perfume reviews from real users.

You can also search through scents based on your mood, personality, occasion, brand, and other metrics. When you first create a Scentbird account, you’ll also be asked to fill out a quiz. You can retake that quiz at any time from your Account page if your preferences ever change.

Scentbird is open and honest about its lineup of fragrances. You can actually view their complete collection directly from their homepage. Major designer fragrances listed on the site include fragrances from Lancome, Michael Kors, Gucci, Fendi, Giorgia Armani, Estee Lauder, Lacoste, Prada, Ralph Lauren, Salvatore Ferragamo, Tommy Bahama, Versace, and many more. Each perfume is accompanied with a brief paragraph describing the fragrance. That paragraph explains the various notes in that fragrance. This month’s Perfume of the Month, for example, is Carven Le Parfum and comes with the following description:

Scentbird is priced at $14.95 per month for both men and women. You can cancel at any time. There are no additional shipping fees.

After you pay that fee, you’ll receive a sleek reusable case with your first order. It looks like a tube of lipstick. And then after that, you’ll receive a clear plastic travel-size spray bottle every month. You can put your new fragrance in that reusable case for safekeeping.

If you just want to try a fragrance separately from the subscription, then you can do that as well. Fragrances are priced at $16.95 for a one month supply “a la carte”.

If you want to save money on your perfume subscription, then you can also pay for a 6 month or 12 month period upfront, in which case pricing breaks down like this:

• 6 Months: $84 ($14 per month)
• 12 Months: $164 ($13.50 per month)

There’s nothing preventing you from buying a men’s fragrance as a woman and vice versa. You’re free to try any of the 450 fragrances listed on the website.
