What is Pure Muscle X?

Pure Muscle X is a nutritional supplement that works by raising nitric oxide levels within the body.

Nitric oxide is a vasodilator. It expands your blood vessels, helping oxygen and nutrients travel to your muscles more easily. This can lead to better endurance, better lean muscle gains at the gym, and better sexual performance.

Oddly enough, the Pure Muscle X packaging refers to the formula as “100% nitrous oxcide” (yes, they spelled oxide incorrectly). Nitrous oxide, also known as laughing gas, is completely different from nitric oxide. When a manufacturer makes an error as obvious as that, it doesn’t give us a lot of confidence about the actual supplement.

We’re not off to a good start with Pure Muscle X. But let’s take a look at how the supplement actually works.

How Does Pure Muscle X Work?

Pure Muscle X claims to increase NO levels within your body using a blend of amino acids, including glutamine, L-arginine, and essential amino acids.

These amino acids, according to the manufacturer, will “reorient the foods you eat from fat storage to muscle mass”. This can promote energy and muscle gains while also improving stamina and performance.

Amino acids are a proven way to increase nitric oxide levels within your bloodstream. Using ingredients like glutamine and L-arginine, you can raise nitric oxide levels, making it easier for your blood vessels to dilate during physical activity and sex.

We know very little about how Pure Muscle X works. The manufacturer has provided us with virtually no evidence reinforcing the benefits, nor do we have any dosage information for the amino acids.

All we really know is that Pure Muscle X contains some amount of L-arginine and glutamine. Beyond that, we know absolutely nothing about how it works.

Pure Muscle X doesn’t appear to contain anything but the two active ingredients listed above.

Worse, we don’t know the dosage of either of those ingredients. Typically, bodybuilding supplement makers love to advertise dosage information because it’s the primary way in which they compete with other supplements. Since Pure Muscle X doesn’t show dosage information, we’re led to believe it’s not very powerful.

Typically, those who take L-arginine for bodybuilding benefits, according to the Mayo Clinic, will take a single dose of 6 grams of L-arginine prior to a workout.

Pure Muscle X is a relatively small capsule. Capsules of this size typically contain a dose of between 500mg and 1000mg. So you’d have to take 6 or 12 capsules of this supplement (assuming it contains pure L-arginine) to get anywhere close to the recommended dose.

Without dosage information, we have to assume that Pure Muscle X is relatively weak. There’s just no evidence suggesting otherwise.

Pure Muscle X, like many low-quality bodybuilding supplements on the market today, operates using a “free trial” scam. You pay a small fee today upfront, only to be quietly charged nearly $100 two weeks from now. Here’s how pricing breaks down:

-You pay $7.95 USD for shipping and handling today and will receive a full-sized bottle of Pure Muscle X in the mail within 7 calendar days

-When you pay that $7.95 fee, your credit card is quietly pre-authorized for a charge of $89.95; that charge will go through after your 14 day “trial period” is complete

-If you don’t call the company, cancel, and return your supplement within that small 14 day trial window, then you’ll be charged the full $89.95 price for the bottle you already received

-Then, 30 days after your original trial purchase date, your credit card will be charged $89.95 + $7.95 shipping again for another monthly supply of Pure Muscle X

-You will continue to be charged $89.95 + $7.95 every month for the next 12 months

If you want to request a refund, cancel your membership, or return your trial, then you’ll need to contact the company at 1-415-689-3806.

The company deliberates hides all of this information in the fine print at the bottom of the ordering page – so many customers have fallen victim to this scam already.

There’s nothing wrong with paying $90 for a good bodybuilding supplement. But when the manufacturer uses a ridiculously low dose of amino acids, combines that price with an autoship scam, and deliberately misleads customers, it doesn’t bode well for consumers.

Who Makes Pure Muscle X?

Pure Muscle X is sold online by a company named IZEF LLC. That company lists its address as:

IZEF LLC has been associated with a number of online scams in the past. The ASA, which is the UK’s independent advertising regulator, has a page dedicated to the company after it launched a Power Precision supplement scam back in 2013.

The company is also associated with low-quality nutritional supplements like Vimax Pills and Tru Burn Plus.

IZEF LLC doesn’t list where the supplement is manufactured or where the ingredients are sourced. When we don’t see that information, it typically means the supplement is manufactured in some developing country in an unregistered laboratory.

Should You Use Pure Muscle X to Build Explosive, Lean Muscle?

Pure Muscle X is a bodybuilding supplement that claims to be the greatest bodybuilding supplement ever made. In reality, it’s just a blend of two amino acids (L-Arginine and Glutamine) in an unlisted dosage. You can get these amino acids from protein powders and many other supplements. They’re not exclusive to Pure Muscle X.

Making things worse for Pure Muscle X is that the manufacturer doesn’t list the dosage – which suggests that the dosage is relatively weak (the recommended dose for just L-Arginine is 6 grams, while the capsules appear to be approximately 500g in size).

The icing on the cake of this Pure Muscle X scam is the $90 price tag, which is hidden behind a “free trial” offer designed to deliberately trick users into divulging their credit card data. You can get supplements with higher doses of amino acids for $20 or less from any supplement store.

For all of these reasons, Pure Muscle X is one bodybuilding supplement scam you should definitely avoid.
