They recovered from cramping in 85 seconds, or 37% faster than the water drinkers and 45% faster than when they didn’t drink anything at all.
Dr. Miller theorized that pickle juice might be responsible for creating a “neurally mediated reflex” in the body that helps prevent muscles from misfiring – which is essentially why cramps occur.
