Nufabrx Pillow – Nano-Encapsulation Technology For Clear Skin?

on

Nufabrx Pillowcase is a unique pillowcase that promises to treat your skin while you sleep, reducing your acne when you wake up. Here’s our Nufabrx Pillowcase review.

What Is The Nufabrx Pillow?

Nufabrx is a unique type of pillowcase targeted towards acne sufferers. In case you didn’t know, a lot of acne can be traced back to your pillowcase. After a few days of sleep, your pillowcase is covered with oil and bacteria. That stuff seeps into your face overnight, causing increased acne in the morning.

Nufabrx wants to solve that problem using “innovative nano-encapsulation technology”. The bamboo fibers of the pillowcase are infused with a special acne-fighting serum – so instead of waking up with more acne, you wake up with cleaner, clearer skin.

The pillows are sold for around $30 through Amazon and the official website. They were developed by a college kid who was tired of waking up with acne – but also didn’t have the time to wash his pillowcases every 2 or 3 days.

How Does Nufabrx Pillow Work?

The Nufabrx Pillow works in a straightforward way. The pillowcase is made from bamboo fibers. It contains an all-natural, scientifically formulated serum infused into those fibers.

As you sleep, the pillowcase slowly and gently releases a proprietary mix of acne-fighting formulas into your skin, including lavender, lemon balm, tea tree oil, and wintergreen oil.

The company describes its technology as 100% natural, 100% comfortable, and 100% revolutionary.

The ingredients in the pillowcase will naturally be released over a 4 month period. Each pillowcase is designed to last for about 4 months of washing and use – or about 20 washes. While you sleep, the pressure and heat of your heat encourage the oils in the pillowcase to come forward, releasing the serum onto your skin.

Nufabrx Pillow Features

  • All Natural Materials: The pillowcase is made from 100% bamboo, handcrafted from bamboo fibers and infused with natural essential oils “to create a spa-quality, anti-microbial, hypoallergenic and all-natural pillowcase”.
  • Easy to Care For: Wash your Nufabrx pillowcase once a week using cold water, then put it in the dryer on low. You don’t need to hand wash it. The oils will survive a conventional wash cycle.
  • Soft Fabric: Nufabrx Pillow is made from 220-thread count bamboo, which is equivalent to 500+ cotton thread counts. The company describes the pillowcase as “super soft”. The lower thread count also means the bamboo fabric is more breathable, allowing for better air flow over your skin.
  • Better Sleep: Nufabrx doesn’t just soothe your skin overnight. The company’s pillowcases contain soothing aromas to calm and relax you. Ingredients like lavender, lemon balm, tea tree oil, and wintergreen oil are more than just proven skin cleansers: they’re also powerful aromatherapy oils.
  • Nanocapsule Technology: Nufabrx claims to embed its specially formulated serum within the fibers of the pillowcase, allowing the heat and pressure of your skin to release the serum as you sleep.
  • Proprietary Serum: Nufabrx claims their proprietary serum has been proven to reduce acne-causing bacteria (P. acnes) by 91.5% over a 24-hour period. That proprietary formula contains a blend of lavender, lemon balm, tea tree, and wintergreen oils.

Nufabrx Pillow Pricing

Nufabrx is priced at $29.99 USD per pillowcase.

Each pillowcase is designed to last 4 months, or about 20 washes. After this time, or after 20 washes, the essential oils will be gone – but you still have a comfortable bamboo pillowcase you can use. It just won’t have the same acne-fighting effectiveness.

You can also get bulk discounts with 2 packs ($53.99), 4 packs ($101.99), and 5 packs ($119.99).

Shipping is included in all of the above prices.

All purchases come with a 30 day refund policy that gives you every penny back within 30 days of your purchase.

The pillowcases are queen sized and promise to fit “just about any pillowcase”. So far, they’re available online through Nufabrx.com and through Amazon. However, the company also sells the pillowcases at Katterman’s Pharmacy in Seattle. On Amazon, they’re priced about $2 cheaper than the official website.

Who Makes the Nufabrx Pillow?

Nufabrx is created by a company called Textile-Based Delivery, Inc. That company was founded by Jordan Schindler in 2012. After a trip to the dermatologist office, Jordan learned that pillowcases were one of the leading causes of acne and blemishes, and that you’re supposed to wash your pillowcase every 2 to 3 days.

As a college student, however, Jordan found it difficult to wash his pillowcases that frequently. Jordan teamed up with a PhD formulation scientist from Minneapolis to create a patent pending platform technology enabling the embedding of essential oils and medications into fabric.

That formulation scientist is Dr. David Anderson, the co-founder of Lyotropic Therapeutics. Dr. Anderson’s company has successfully sold three injectable hospital products currently making their way through the FDA approval process.

Textile-Based Delivery, Inc. is based in Seattle. The company launched its flagship product, the Nufabrx Pillowcase for Blemish Prone Skin, in late 2013.

Nufabrx Pillow Review Summary

The official Nufabrx website explains that the bacteria on toilet seats “is indistinguishable from that found on pillowcases”. That’s why dermatologists recommend washing your pillowcase every 2 to 3 days – especially if you have acne.

But who has time to wash their pillowcase every couple days? Nufabrx was designed to use your pillowcase to combat the effects of acne. So instead of waking up with worse acne symptoms every morning, you wake up with clearer, cleaner skin.

Nufabrx is available to order online at a price of around $30. The pillowcase uses natural bamboo fabric embedded with soothing oils and lotions to cleanse your skin overnight. Each pillowcase lasts for about 20 washes. You can order Nufabrx pillowcases online today through the Nufabrx official website or through Amazon.
