Looking for ways to naturally increase energy levels regardless of the length of a workout? Tired of consuming pre workouts that eventually die off? The purpose of a pre workout is to increase one’s energy levels prior to training.
Similarly, an intra workout ensures that one’s energy levels are not compromised while training. The concern with taking them both is the amount of caffeine consumed within just a single workout. This is where Muir Energy comes into play.
Muir Energy claims to provide consumers with an apt source of energy that is sustainable throughout the day. What differentiates it from other energy inducing supplements or drinks is its ability to potentially increase one’s vitamins and minerals intake, while optimizing enjoyment when consuming it.
This review will look closely at Muir Energy in terms of its purpose, the different flavors offered, its nutritional values and its affordability.
What Is Muir Energy?
Muir Energy specializes in providing consumers with nutrients-dense and natural energy sources that can potentially enhance one’s health. Consumers can enjoy it as a spread or a drinkable gel. Unlike most food bars that are extremely dry and hard to consume, Muir Energy essentials are smooth and do not contain any traces of artificial sweeteners.
Types of Flavors
Muir Energy’s drinkable energy gel comes in 9 different flavors, which include: Hazelnut Banana, Red Raspberry, Cacao Almond, Cashew Lemon, Cashew Vanilla, Red Raspberry Mate, Cacao Almond Mate, Cashew Lemon Mate and Cashew Vanilla Mate. Likewise, the spreads also come in the exact same flavors.
What distinguishes the flavors including mate to those that do not indicate so is the use of Yerba Mate powder. Yerba Mate is proclaimed as an efficient alternative to coffee, as it contains a rich source of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and close to 15 different types of amino acids. In addition, it contains a minimum of 90mg of caffeine that can upheave one’s energy levels.
The following is a sample of what types of ingredients went into some of the gels offered:
Cacao Almond
Cacao Almond is made with Raw Cacao, Raw Almond Butter, Raw Coconut Palm Nectar, Blackstrap Molasses and Pink Himalayan Salt.
Cashew Lemon
Cashew Lemon contains Organic Creamy Cashew Butter, Palm Coconut Nectar, Blackstrap Molasses, Lemon Essential Oil and Pink Himalayan Salt.
Hazelnut Banana
Hazel Banana contains Raw Hazelnut Butter, Banana, Coconut Palm Nectar, Blackstrap Molasses, and Pink Himalayan Salt.
Based on the sample analysis, it is clear that Muir Energy contains very minimal ingredients that are common amongst each flavor. In addition each ingredient has been claimed as organic and have undergone little to no processing. Processing certain types of ingredients, such as chocolate, will reap out all of its health benefits, hence making it bad for the body.
Nutritional Value
The nutritional values are likely to change based on each flavor offered. On average each gel may contain 140 calories, which can be broken down into 6.8 grams of fat, 260 grams of potassium, 90 mg of caffeine (mate infusions only), 19 grams of carbs, 8 grams of sugar and 3 grams of protein.
How Much Can Consumers Expect to Invest in Muir Energy?
For a box of 12 gels, consumers can expect to invest approximate $30. Similarly, a box of 24 can go for about $58. When it comes to the energy spreads, the currently set price is approximately $14 for 227 grams.
The prices are fairly set as each energy source contains whole foods and desirable taste without excessive sugars. In addition, it contains a fair source of essential nutrients that can potentially promote proper functioning of the body.
Muir Energy Review Summary
Muir Energy is unique because of its slow burning properties. In other words, it ensures that the body metabolizes the used ingredients slowly, which can evenly spread out one’s energy source over longer periods of time. This decelerated process can be beneficial for those taking part in endurance training or activities that range from low to medium intensity levels.
