Conducted by Dr. Dort, the study consisted of a group of 32 patients who were given the Good Morning Snore Solution mouthpiece as well as a control device that featured a similar design but did not contain the suction mechanism. In order to qualify for the study, all participants had to be diagnosed with a primary diagnosis of snoring by a physician. Patients were then advised to use the device for the duration of one week.
After the one week, the patients were evaluated based on three standard industry measures of snoring. The first standard, the Respiratory Disturbance Index (RDI), measures the number of sleep disruptions and divides the disturbances by the number of hours of sleep. The second standard, the Snoring Index, measure the average number of snores that occur every hour. The third standard, the Epworth Sleepiness Scale (ESS), measures sleep propensity that occurs during the day as reported by the participants and derived from the answers to eight different questions.
The clinical study showed that on average, the Good Morning Snore Solution reduced the SI by at almost half, significantly improving sleep throughout the night and reducing snoring. Without sleep disruptions, there was a significant reduction in anxiety, allowing patients to experience stress reductions.
