What is FitWhey?
If you’ve visited your local gym lately, you may have seen FitWhey drinks in the vending machine.
FitWhey is a lineup of protein shakes that come in ready-to-drink bottles. The beverages are made by BFit Brands, and promise to combine protein with functional energy.
Each bottle contains 20g of protein combined with 150mg of caffeine and a strong dose of B vitamins. The protein fuels athletic activity, while the caffeine and B vitamins maximize your energy.
BFit Brands recently announced a promotional strategy for FitWhey which will see the protein shakes be distributed at 73 in-shape health clubs across California.
To distribute FitWhey across California, the company partnered with Creative Drinks, a California-based distributor that also provides Muscle Milk, FitPro, and Cellucor products to gyms across the state.
FitWhey was launched in January 2016.
What Makes FitWhey Different?
What makes FitWhey different from other ready-to-drink protein shakes? The beverages offer a number of unique advantages, including:
- 20 grams of whey protein per bottle
- Energy boosting component (about 150mg of caffeine per bottle, or 1.5 cups of coffee’s worth)

- Non-carbonated

So far, FitWhey has launched three flavors, including Grape, Berry, and Orange.
As you might imagine, the drinks are targeted towards active individuals, gym-goers, and anyone who wants a high dose of protein on-the-go:

FitWhey Ingredients
There are currently three FitWhey products available, including Grape, Orange, and Berry. All three flavors offer similar benefits: they all come with 150mg of caffeine, for example, as well as 20g of protein and 90 calories. None of them contain sugar.
Ingredients vary slightly across all formulas, although the base ingredients are the same. Here’s how the ingredients break down for the Grape flavor, for example:
Water, whey protein isolate, phosphoric acid, natural flavors, citric acid, fruit juice (color), sucralose, niacinamide (vitamin B3), d-calcium pantothenate (vitamin B5), pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitamin B6), cyanocobalamin (vitamin B12).

Ingredients vary slightly between FitWhey flavors, but the nutritional value is the same for all three flavors. Here’s how it works out:

Essentially, FitWhey is a combination between a high dose of protein mixed with energy-boosting B vitamins and a strong (but not overly strong) dose of caffeine. It’s like an energy drink mixed with a protein shake.
