Founded in 2009, Dreaming Cow LUSH has a long history in the dairy industry. The founders, the Wehner family, has been managing grass-fed dairy farms in South Georgia for over 20 years. A family-owned and operated business, Dreaming Cow is managed by a husband and wife team with unique backgrounds.
Kyle and Janelle Wehner manufacture and develop Dreaming Cow products in-house. A native of New Zealand, Janelle implemented the popularity of cream top yogurt from New Zealand, also harnessing the use of New Zealand style rotational grazing farms. Kyle, on the other hand, grew up a Georgia farm boy.
The Dreaming Cow facility is located in Pavo, Georgia. Because of the climate and terrain of South Georgia, the company has the advantage of feeding their cows year-round. The weather is typically warm with lots of rainfall, making it perfect for keeping the cows healthy and happy.
Cream top yogurt, is a style of yogurt that is made using un-homogenized milk. During this process, a layer of cream rises to the top, creating a rich yogurt cream.
