Dixie Elixirs Review – Right For You?

Dixie Elixirs is a series of pot-infused edibles, beverages, tinctures, and topical creams. Find out everything you need to know about the Colorado-based company today in our review.

What is Dixie Elixirs?

Dixie Elixirs, also known as Dixie Elixirs and Edibles (and incorporated as Dixie Brands in Delaware) is a Colorado-based company that produces various edible marijuana products.

The company is one of the largest in Colorado’s booming world of marijuana products. Popular products include drinks, candies, tinctures, and topicals.

Dixie Elixirs has been making headlines lately after it was revealed the company incorporated itself as Dixie Brands in Delaware. Under the umbrella of the new company, Dixie is seeking to license the manufacturing and distribution of its products to states outside Colorado, including Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, Nevada, Rhode Island, and Washington. They’re also seeking to expand into Canada.

Dixie Elixirs has been formulating and producing THC and CBD-infused products since 2009. Their flagship product, the Dixie Elixir (a THC-infused soda) has now grown into a network of 30 different products.

Dixie Elixirs Products

Dixie Elixirs products are separated into a number of different categories, including Elixirs, Chocolates, Synergy, Dew Drops, Scrips, Topicals, Mints, Lift, and Vape. Here’s a brief overview of each category.

Elixirs

The very first product sold by Dixie Elixirs was called the Dixie Elixir. That flagship product spawned a wave of other elixirs across all different flavors. Each elixir bottle contains 90mg of THC, while each serving contains 5mg of THC. The elixir bottle actually comes with a custom dosing cap with a 15mL line to mark the 5mg dose. You can fill the cap up to the top for a 10mg dose (30mL).

According to Dixie Elixirs, the carbonation of Dixie Elixirs helps to enhance THC’s uptake into your body. Ingredients consist of no artificial colors and contain less sugar than ordinary soda.

Dixie Elixirs cautions that uptake time is about 45 minutes. Like most edibles, you have to wait longer for the effects to take place. The company explains that the THC is absorbed through your tongue and the lining of your mouth quite rapidly, but the full effects of THC take some time to spread throughout the body.

Flavors include Wild Berry Lemonade, Sparkling Pomegranate, Sparkling Blueberry, Peach Iced Tea, Old Fashioned Sarsaparilla, and Dixie One Watermelon Cream.

Chocolates

Dixie Elixirs chocolates include chocolate bars, chocolate pretzels, and other tasty edibles. Like most Dixie products, they aim to deliver 5mg to 10mg of THC per serving.

The Chocolate Cherry Pretzel, for example, contains 10mg of THC in each piece. That product is described as “a delicious mix of sweet and salty featuring milk chocolate and paired with tart cherries and salty pretzel pieces.”

Products in the chocolate category include the Chocolate Cherry Pretzel, Crispy Kraken (180mg or 84mg), Dixie Rolls, and Toasted Rooster (180mg or 84mg).

Synergy

Dixie Elixirs Synergy category includes liquid tinctures that contain a 1:1 ratio of CBD and THC. There’s 50mg of THC and 50mg of CBD in each bottle of Cinnamon Synergy Dew Drops, for example.

The Synergy category consists of dew drops, mints, and topical balms found in other Dixie Elixirs categories. Those products all promise similar anti-anxiety and anti-inflammatory effects.

Products in the Synergy category include Cinnamon Synergy Dew Drops, Natural Flavor Synergy Dew Drops, Synergy Mixed Berry Mints, Synergy Relief Balm, Vanilla Synergy Dew Drops, and Watermelon Synergy Dew Drops.

Dew Drops

We already got a glimpse at the dew drops products in the “Synergy” category. The Dew Drops, however, are a unique product from Dixie. They’re tinctures that deliver a dose of THC in each drop. Some of the Dew Drops, like the ones mentioned in the Synergy category, contain a 1:1 ratio of THC to CBD. Others, however, contain just straight THC. The Cinnamon Dew Drops, for example, contain 3mg of THC per dropper and 90mg of THC in each bottle.

To take these tinctures, you drip them into your mouth under your tongue and hold them there for 60 seconds.

Popular Dew Drops products include Cinnamon Dew Drops, Cinnamon Synergy Dew Drops, Ginger Mango Dew Drops, Natural Flavor Dew Drops, Natural Flavor Synergy Dew Drops, Spearmint Dew Drops, Vanilla Dew Drops, Vanilla Synergy Dew Drops, Watermelon Dew Drops, and Watermelon Synergy Dew Drops.

Scrips

Scrips are THC-infused capsules that contain a variety of other herbs mixed in to achieve various effects. The “Awakening Scrips”, for example, contain THC mixed with eleuthero and ashwagandha. Each capsule contains 50mg of THC, and you get four capsules in each pack. The Awakening Scrips promises to be “high-dosage products that will keep you highly functional.”

Popular Scrips products include Awakening Scrips, Pain Relief Scrips, and Relaxing Scrips, all of which contain natural herbs to help you achieve various health effects.

Topicals

Dixie Elixirs sells a number of topicals you can spread on your skin to relieve muscle tension or use in a bath. Their Relief Balm, for example, is a THC-infused cream that contains 90mg of THC in each bottle and 10mg of THC in each serving. The cream promises to be reparative and restorative and is infused with pure, CO2-extracted THC.

You apply these creams topically to treat acute, localized pain. As you may know, THC doesn’t cause psychoactive effects when applied topically – so you just get the medical benefits of cannabis without the high.

Topical products offered by Dixie Elixirs include Bath Soak, Muscle Relief Lotion, and Relief Balm.

Mints

Dixie Elixirs Mints are candy-like mints that contain 5mg or 10mg of THC in each serving. There are 16 mints in each pack and multiple flavors available. The mints are also blended with other ingredients. The “Orange Awakening” mints, for example, contain Siberian ginseng, ginkgo, matcha, and orange oil “to help enhance your alertness and increase your stamina.”

Popular Dixie Elixirs Mints include Orange Awakening (5mg or 10mg), Peppermint Relaxing Mints (5mg or 10mg) and Synergy Mixed Berry Mints.

Lifts

Lifts are single-shot liquid supplements that contain 10mg of THC in a 1 fl. oz bottle. Dixie Elixirs has mixed THC with ingredients like acai in some formulas, allowing you to experience “an exclusive blend of natural ingredients that improves cellular metabolism and enables your body to absorb THC more quickly.”

These ingredients are mixed with the trademarked formula Dixie Boosted, which contains three ingredients – quercetin, resveratrol, and D-Ribose. That formula is found in all Dixie Elixirs Lift supplements.

There are two Dixie Elixirs Lifts at this time, including Mint Coffee Lift and Citrus Acai Lift.

Vape Pen

Dixie Elixirs currently makes one vape product. That vape pen contains 300mg of 100% pure CO2 extracted oil (60 to 70% THC content) and it does not use propylene glycol or other fillers – which are found in plenty of other vaping products sold online.

The cartridge comes with a synthetic wick instead of a cotton infill, giving you superior taste, according to Dixie Elixirs. There’s also a button-less construction. A clear window on the side of the vape pen lets you see how much oil is left over.
