Beat the Burn Review – Right For You?

Beat the Burn is a new dietary supplement created by the “Enzyme Dr.” Here’s our Beat the Burn review.

What is Beat the Burn?

Beat the Burn is a nutritional supplement that contains a digestive enzyme blend. You take the supplement before a meal to improve your digestive health.

The supplement claims to boost your digestion in order to help your body digest foods and nutrients more efficiently. Beat the Burn claims to use natural ingredients to relieve everyday ailments like heartburn, indigestion, gas, bloating, irritable bowel syndrome, chronic diarrhea, and others.

Beat the Burn is sold online through Amazon and other retailers for about $6 or $7 per package (although there are only 3 servings in each package). You can also purchase from the official site for around $70 for a monthly supply.

How Does Beat the Burn Work?

Beat the Burn uses a blend of 100% plant-based enzymes “that work in a broad pH spectrum to help break down carbohydrates, protein, fat and fiber into absorbable nutritional compounds” according to the official manufacturer.

Some of those plant-based enzymes include:

-Lactase: Used to break down lactose (found in milk and sugar) and to help treat symptoms of lactose intolerance.

-Glucoamlyase: Breaks down carbs, specifically polysaccharides (sugars) and turns them into glucose.

-Diastase: Breaks down carbs, malt and grain sugars, breaking them down into complex and simple sugars that are easier for your body to digest.

-Protease: Breaks down different types of protein, including animal-based and plant-based proteins.

-Cellulase: Breaks down cellulose, which helps to free nutrients from the fruits, vegetables, and other foods you eat.

There are a handful of other ingredients in Beat the Burn that also break down carbs, sugars, and other nutrients you eat.

All of these enzymes are already found in your digestive tract today. However, when you take Beat the Burn, you raise up levels of these enzymes, supplementing the enzymes already in your body.

Sometimes, your body naturally lacks certain enzymes. In other cases, the medications, foods, or drinks you consume will eliminate a certain type of enzyme. This can lead to digestive problems. Beat the Burn promises to help you solve these problems by giving your body all of the enzymes it needs to digest your food.

All of the ingredients are delivered in a 100% vegetarian capsule. Enzyme Dr, the creator of Beat the Burn, also claims that the supplement is guaranteed to be free of “added lubricants, soy, egg, wheat, shellfish, dairy, meat, yeast, gluten, starch, artificial colors or flavors.”

Beat the Burn Ingredients

Beat the Burn Ingredients

Beat the Burn’s manufacturer lists all of the following ingredients:

This is the ingredient information for the small Amazon package, which is why there are only 3 servings per container. The containers sold online through Enzyme Dr contain a month’s worth (30) of servings per container.

One of the complaints with Beat the Burn is that all of the ingredients are hidden within a “Digestive Enzyme Blend”. We don’t know the specific dosage of any of the listed ingredients. We only know that it contains some blend of amylase, Protease, lipase, and other enzymes.

That’s an annoying problem. It makes it difficult to compare Beat the Burn to other enzyme supplements. It also makes it difficult to compare the effects of Beat the Burn to what we know from other studies.

For example, we know that Amylase can safely be taken in doses of 700mg and more. Is there more or less than 700mg of Amylase in the Digestive Enzyme Blend? For all we know, there could be 990mg of Amylase and only trace amounts of the other enzymes.

Scientific Evidence for Beat the Burn

Beat the Burn doesn’t list the results of any clinical trials or independent studies that have taken place. It doesn’t appear that the supplement has undergone any major studies.

Enzyme Dr does claim, however, that the supplement has been featured on The New York Times, Forbes, ABC, NBC, and Fox – although we couldn’t find any evidence.

The supplement’s website also lists numerous customer testimonials. On the Amazon page, you’ll find an almost suspicious number of 5 star reviews from customers. Some of those reviews appear to be blatantly fake and say things like:

“This stuff is truly amazing and my only regret is not finding it earlier. I had heard of enzymes in the past, but really had no idea they worked so fast and so efficiently! I am no longer having heartburn or other stomach issues, and even turned my doctor onto to them. I am on the auto purchase so I am sure to get them every month without fail…as I am afraid to live without them! I cannot thank you enough for such an amazing product at such a reasonable cost!”

The Amazon page is filled with customer testimonials that sound very similar to that. So far, the supplement has an average rating of 4.6 stars out of 5, with 85% of reviewers leaving 5 stars.

Should You Use Beat the Burn to Beat Heartburn?

Beat the Burn is a nutritional supplement that promises to help anyone beat back the symptoms of heartburn and other painful digestive problems. To do that, Beat the Burn delivers a range of enzymes into your body.

Unfortunately, the manufacturer never lists the specific dosage of each enzyme in Beat the Burn: it only lists it as part of a proprietary formula. So you don’t know the specific amount of each enzyme being delivered into your body. This makes it difficult to compare Beat the Burn to other enzyme supplements.

The supplement has also never been studied in an independent, clinical setting (or if it has, the manufacturer has never posted the results). This makes it difficult to say whether or not the supplement works.

Nevertheless, anecdotal evidence online tells us that many people have cured their digestive problems by taking Beat the Burn daily. If you suffer from bloating, IBS, or heartburn, then Beat the Burn may be exactly what you need.
