Recently, more and more people have become aware of the harmful consequences of unhealthy eating habits. Whether the goal is to lose weight, or reduce risk of health-related disease, eating healthy has innumerable benefits. Eating a diet rich in fruits and vegetables allows the body to receive important nutrients including vitamin C, vitamin A, folate, potassium, and dietary fiber.
Though eating healthy is not always easy, committing to a healthy diet is one of the most important decisions to ever be mad. Though some struggle with knowing exactly what eating healthy requires, in the long run, it not only boosts confidence by improving appearance and mood, but it can also be financially advantageous.
Following a healthy diet consists of choosing nutrient rich food, lean meats, eggs, fruits, vegetables, whole grain, and dairy products. In accordance with a diet change, leaving out fast foods, sodas, and processed snacks, foods that possess high levels of sugar, fat, and sodium, will allow the body to remain energized.
Making dietary changes can assist in improving productivity, by eliminating risk factors that are associated with bad eating, lack of exercise, chronic pain, and financial instability. Because diet has an impact on the brain, mineral rich foods have been associated with lowering depression, and improving mood. In addition to overall better health, regulating weight by making simple health choices can also help with achieving health goals.

About Field to Plate
When it comes to health and wellness, especially in the area of diet, it’s very important for those interested to know that the information they’re receiving on the topic is coming from a reliable source. With so many people in the world offering information that isn’t reliable or, in the worst case scenario, completely false, those who are truly invested in changing their lives need to know that they’re getting the best information possible from the most educated experts in the field. Field to Plate has been so successful because it was, in fact, created by an expert.
Field to Plate was founded by Amanda Archibald, a nutritionist and culinary enthusiast who has been lecturing, teaching, counseling, and producing food and nutrition experiences for consumers and fellow health professionals for over 13 years. She has embarked on multiple platforms as a way to teach nutrition while applying her unique approach that uses a combination of culinary arts and genomic medicine.
In 2013, Amanda designed and introduced the first platform, Food As Medicine curriculum for nutrition and health professionals. With the success of this platform, she went on to develop the concept of Culinary Genomics, and is currently launching a new program, Hearth to Health. Her vision has remained the same – to merge the fields of culinary arts, medicine and nutrition through a groundbreaking platform that partners with leading chefs, physicians and clinicians.
Field to Plate Platforms
Field to Plate offers a variety of teaching and counseling services for licensed and accredited health practitioners. The Food As Medicine teaching and counseling curriculum has been designed to teach people how food works in the body, and how to translate the lessons onto the plate. This teaching seminar, named Hearth to Health, uses scientific evidence to create visionary food as medicine.
Hearth to Healthy combines standard nutrition science with basic knowledge to teach food wisdom that has been the basis of functional nutrition for centuries. In focusing on the functionality of food in the body and how that translates to overall health, Hearth to Health features revolutionary roadmaps that are interactive, visual tools to simplify the combination of nutrition science, and functionality.
The program offers students the opportunity to learn easy recipes that can be demonstrated and taught in a hands-on environment, easily moved to a menu, or used for individual use in the home. These classes are taught in community education settings, as well as organizational wellness programs. All of the Hearth to Health teaching materials can also be used for personal counseling in clinical practices.
As mentioned above, the Hearth to Health training includes evidence-based nutrition science with extensive research and references that are paired with a supporting reading list. Field to Plate has created proprietary nutrition roadmaps that are used to support hands-on teaching methods. Each recipe has a support module which can be modified in order to customize teaching notes and lesson plans. All training takes place in hands-on settings, as well as non-kitchen environments so that clients have the ability to adapt their learning to various situations.
What makes Hearth to Health innovative is their real life approach to classes, learning, and information. After training, each client is awarded with a 2-year license to teach the Hearth to Health curriculum. During the 2-year licensing period, each client has access to an updated curriculum and resources, as well as program mentoring and support, and marketing resources to advertise Hearth to Health programs for the local community.
Field to Plate Roadmaps
In addition to the platforms described above, Field to Plate has developed nutrition roadmaps that have guided the way to making nutrition and science easy to understand and apply to individual diet needs. Nutrition roadmaps combine complex information about food, nutrition, and health topics into a simple one-page format. All maps are available in pdf and interactive formats. Each client has the opportunity to choose the format that works best for their needs. These interactive maps require a software download which enables customization and design features. All sections of the database can be accessed individually by selecting specialty sections, or the entire database.
The company has a database full of Nutrition Roadmaps that serve as an educational and teaching resource for all nutrition and health experts. For many years this visual approach to teaching the fundamentals of nutrition have been immensely successful. These roadmaps have been used for all the educational services that Field to Plate offers through the Hearth to Health programs.
The Food As Medicine movement has allowed the field of medical education to enter new territory. Head running disease prevention, while shaping health communication worldwide, Field to Plate is working with chefs, foodservice, and health professionals, to influence the healing powers of good health to the public.
