The names Oprah Winfrey and Deepak Chopra have become synonymous with changing lives, though both have usually approached this in different ways. However, the two have joined together in the past to create “Oprah & Deepak 21-Day Meditation” experiences, inspiring users to take time out of their days to relax themselves and commit themselves to meditation.
On the heels of announcing her partnership with Weight Watchers, Oprah Winfrey and Deepak Chopra have just announced the tenth chapter of their meditation experience, called “Shedding the Weight: Mind, Body, and Spirit”. This meditation experience will lead participants through a series of steps to help them change the way they feel about themselves, as well as the way they look. The entire concept embraces the idea of healing, recovery, personal fulfillment, and restoration.

Shedding the Weight: Mind, Body, and Spirit is a 21 day experience that is completely free for users. Registration for the event will open on February 18th, though the actual event won’t start until March 21st.
While the main focus of Shedding the Weight will be about changing how people feel about themselves, this won’t be the only topic discussed. The experience will aim to help users alleviate their everyday stress, leading to a revitalization for them. And Shedding the Weight will work through the adjustment of attitudes, reworking habits, and releasing beliefs that cause harm. By working on these issues as a whole, the program hopes to change the perspectives of its users, whether it’s about their body image, losing weight, relationships, or emotional and spiritual well-being.

How Shedding the Weight: Mind, Body, and Spirit Works
This new meditation experience is broken into two distinct sections. The first is each day, Shedding the Weight: Mind, Body, and Spirit will release a 20-minute audio meditation, led by Oprah Winfrey and Deepak Chopra. This audio meditation will go through a series of questions that are meant to be thought provoking and reflective. A mantra and a centering thought will anchor the teachings of the day into the participants, so they can keep the lesson with them throughout the day.
The second part of Shedding the Weight involves a private, interactive journal. This allows participants to record their progress, giving them something to look back on so they can see their own progress throughout the process. By seeing this progress, participants will be able to clearly track their personal growth and personal development.
Participants will be able to access these meditations from any computer or tablet that has Wi-Fi capabilities. For those who wish to access the meditations on their phones, there is an app available in iTunes and in Google Play that can be used.
Participants will also be able to find the ten other programs that make up the “Oprah & Deepak 21-Day Meditation Experience” online and on the app. These previous meditations have been extremely successful, reaching over 5.1 million participants in over 200 hundred countries.

In this week, building self-awareness is the most vital part, because without this awareness, shedding cannot happen.
Week Two
The Path to Natural Balance – Restoration, Recovery, and Healing
Once balance is fulfilled in week one, week two will focus on restoring, healing, and recovering. Because burdens play such a huge role in the attitudes, beliefs, habits, and behaviors of participants, they need to be released before these things can be changed. This section will be about clearing the mind and spirit of these unneeded things, so that healing and balance can be achieved.
This mental balance will also allow the body to heal and balance, which can lead to weight loss.
Week Three
Completing the Transformation – Themes for a New Life
The third and final week focuses on replacing all the negativity and burdens with positive, uplifting themes. By choosing to live these positive themes instead of the negative ones from before, participants will be able to move on to living their best lives.
Week three is all about reinforcing the concept of love, healing, and self-empowerment.
