ClariSpray Review – Right Choice For You?

ClariSpray is a nasal allergy spray that promises to provide 24 hour non-drowsy relief of nasal allergy symptoms. Here’s our ClariSpray review.

What is ClariSpray?

ClariSpray is a nasal allergy spray that uses the active ingredient fluticasone propionate, which is the number one prescribed ingredient for nasal allergy relief.

The spray promises to provide 24 hour relief of nasal congestion, itchy nose, runny nose, and sneezing. It’s specifically designed to relieve allergy symptoms triggered by animal allergens (like dogs and cats), outdoor allergens (like tree, weed, and grass pollen), and indoor allergens (like dust, dust mites, and mold).

ClariSpray is made by Bayer, the same company that makes another popular allergy relief medication, Claritin. How does ClariSpray work? Let’s take a closer look at its ingredients and methods of action.

How Does ClariSpray Work?

ClariSpray, as we just mentioned, contains the active ingredient fluticasone propionate, which is the world’s number one-prescribed, clinically proven ingredient for allergy relief according to the makers of ClariSpray.

Fluticasone propionate acts as a glucocorticoid. Glucocorticoid is a substance naturally produced by your body to help fight inflammation. ClariSpray works by supplementing levels of this substance in your system, reducing inflammation caused by allergens and relieving symptoms of nasal allergies.

When your body is triggered by allergens like cat dander, your immune system reacts to those triggers by releasing substances that cause swelling and inflammation in your nasal membranes. This is why you start to feel stuffy, sneezy, drippy, and itchy after being exposed to allergens: your nasal passages are inflamed and swollen.

When you spray ClariSpray into your nose, it helps to block your body’s allergic reaction.

What’s the Difference Between ClariSpray and Claritin?

Both ClariSpray and Claritin are made by the same manufacturer. But they’re different products.

First, ClariSpray is a nasal allergy spray that contains a different drug than Claritin and works as a nasal glucocorticoid.

Claritin, on the other hand, is an oral supplement that works as an antihistamine using the drug loratadine. They work in different ways to relieve allergy symptoms.

You take one by mouth and you take the other by spraying it up your nose.

Where to Buy ClariSpray

ClariSpray can be bought anywhere drugs are sold – like Target, Drugstore.com, and many other retailers.

To get a specific list of retailers in your area that carry ClariSpray, check the Bayer.com website.

You do not need a prescription for ClariSpray. You can buy it over-the-counter at any pharmacy.

Who Makes ClariSpray?

ClariSpray is made by pharmaceutical giant Bayer. The German pharmaceutical company was founded in 1863 and is headquartered in Leverkusen, North Rhine-Westphalia.

The company is best-known for making aspirin (it also trademarked heroin around the turn of the century, before it was illegal). Today, the company has dozens of major brands under its corporate umbrella, including Aleve, Canesten, Coppertone, Dr. Scholl’s, and Theraflex.

ClariSpray is one of the world’s most popular allergy-fighting nasal sprays. You can purchase it over the counter from any pharmacy.

  1. It is alcohol based. I went on the original Flonase when it first came out. It was water based. It was wonderful. The other sprays back then were alcohol based and were themselves irritating to the nasal passages. Flonase was great. When it went generic I wondered why it was not working anymore. I finally read and discovered the generic is alcohol based. I am sorry to see that Clarispray is as well. I now just suffer through my year round allergies.
