Tag Away Skin Tag Remover – All Natural Pain Free Topical Oil?

Tag Away

Tag Away is an As Seen On TV product that promises to remove skin tags using an all-natural homeopathic formula. Find out how it works today in our Tag Away review.

What is Tag Away Skin Tag Remover?

Tag Away is a skin care product that removes skin tags with no pain, no scarring, and no chemicals. You dip a Q-Tip into the formula, rub it on your skin tag, and the ingredients go to work to remove the skin tag from your body.

Tag Away can be ordered through an As Seen On TV offer. You can see Tag Away in infomercials. You can also find the product online through TryTagAway.com. It launched back in 2013.

Wherever you buy, Tag Away is priced at around $30 for two small bottles of formula. Will Tag Away actually work? Let’s take a closer look at the benefits and how it works.

  • All natural homeopathic formula
  • No pain or scarring
  • No chemicals

How Does Tag Away Skin Tag Remover Work?

If you’re looking for an instant way to remove skin tags, then Tag Away isn’t the right choice for you. The formula goes to work over the course of 3 to 8 weeks, which means you’re going to need to constantly apply the formula every day during that period.

The formula itself is described as an “all-natural homeopathic formula”. Typically, homeopathic formulas contain mostly water with a small amount of essential oils and other ingredients.

In the case of Tag Away, the company has added an ingredient called Thuja occidentalis, which is a pure essential oil “recognized for its tag-removing properties”, explains the official website.

Like other homeopathic formulas, very little of Thuja occidentalis will appear in Tag Away. Homeopathy is based on the idea that diluting a substance (adding water to it) actually makes it more powerful.

That means, chemically speaking, you’re basically just adding water to your body when you apply Tag Away.

Nevertheless, the makers of Tag Away claim that Tag Away is the best, most natural way to remove your skin tags. It’s also easy to use and pain-free.

What is Thuja Occidentalis?

The active ingredient inside Tag Away is called Thuja occidentalis. That’s a fancy name for the northern white-cedar tree: a common tree native to Eastern Canada and the Northeastern United States.

For years, the oil from the tree has been used as an essential oil. The Ojibwe culture once used the tree for crafts, construction, and medicine.

Explorer Jacques Cartier reportedly cured the scurvy of his crew with Thuja occidentalis in the 1500s.

Today, Thuja occidentalis essential oil is typically used in cleansers, disinfectants, hair products, insecticides, and soaps. There’s limited information, however, that it can remove skin tags.

Of course, Tag Away doesn’t really use Thuja occidentalis essential oil: the product contains an extremely diluted form of the essential oil – so even if the essential oil had a proven removal effect, it’s unlikely we’d see that effect in Tag Away. The formula appears to be 99.9% water and 0.01% essential oil – if not less.

Tag Away Skin Tag Remover Pricing

Tag Away can only be ordered in packages of two. You can’t just order one bottle of Tag Away. Here’s how pricing breaks down:

  • 2 Bottles: $29.94 ($19.99 + $9.94 shipping)
  • 4 Bottles: $59.88 ($39.98 + $19.90 shipping)

Those shipping costs cover orders anywhere in the continental United States. The company only offers a refund on the cost of the item, and you will never receive a refund for your shipping costs.

Despite the high shipping costs, Tag Away comes with extremely long shipping times: you’ll need to wait 3 to 6 weeks for the product to arrive at your address.

Should You Use Tag Away to Remove your Skin Tags?

Skin tags are naturally removed from your body after a few weeks. They’re pieces of dead, dried, twisted skin that will naturally fall off after a while.

Whether you use Tag Away or not, your skin tags will eventually fall away from your body. The makers of Tag Away claim that their product is the safest and most natural way to remove skin tags from your body.

However, the product appears to consist mostly of water: there’s very little of the active ingredient (Thuja occidentalis essential oil) inside the formula. Making things look worse for Tag Away is the fact that the manufacturer hasn’t posted any evidence, studies, or supporting facts for their arguments.

Online, we could find no evidence that the dilution of Thuja occidentalis essential oil used in Tag Away could reliably remove skin tags. For all of these reasons, it’s hard to believe Tag Away works as advertised to remove skin tags from your body.

It appears you’re just paying $30 for two small bottles of water, and then needlessly applying that water to your skin every day for 8 weeks until the skin tag falls off. Remember: 95% of skin tags will fall naturally off after 8 weeks anyway. You might want to save your money and avoid Tag Away.
