Soleil Glo Teeth Whitening System – Advanced Dentist-Grade Kit?

on

Soleil Glo is a teeth whitening system that promises to give you whiter teeth in just 14 days. Does it really give you professional results at home? Find out today in our review.

What is Soleil Glo?

Soleil Glo is an at-home teeth whitening system that promises to give you results comparable to a dentist. Instead of suffering silently with yellow teeth or paying the high costs of a dental visit, you can pay a fraction of the cost to whiten your teeth at home.

Of course, these are the same claims made by every other teeth whitening system on the market today. So what makes Soleil Glo different?

First, Soleil Glo is available to order exclusively online through SoleilGlo.com, where a flashy online sales page explains why your teeth are yellow and how Soleil Glo can fix that problem.

How Does Soleil Glo Work?

Soleil Glo comes in the form of three main components, including:

-Teeth Tray: Silicone duplex tray that’s soft and flexible to fit over your teeth.

-Extreme Whitening Gel: You add this gel to the teeth tray to deliver whitening results “in record time”.

-UV Accelerator: Soleil Glo uses a “revolutionary UV accelerator” that activates the ingredients within the Extreme Whitening Gel, helping them go to work more effectively and last longer.

Basically, Soleil Glo works by placing gel in the teeth tray, and then placing the teeth tray over your teeth. Then, you place the UV accelerator over the front of your mouth and turn it on. The light from the UV accelerator penetrates the clear plastic teeth tray, forcing the gel to “activate”, enhancing its effectiveness.

This might sound like a space age system – but it’s actually a common technology in the at-home teeth whitening industry. You can find similar teeth whitening kits on Amazon.

Essentially, these gels all work by bleaching your teeth. They’re a controversial teeth whitening solution, because most of them don’t work. In fact, according to a dentist interviewed by InStyle, the gels need to contain a “photocatalyst” ingredient like ferrous gluconate (found in professional dental treatments), zinc oxide, or titanium dioxide. Without those ingredients, the gel “does nothing”. It’s unclear if Soleil Glo contains these photocatalyst ingredients, as the ingredients list is not posted online.

That dentist also explained that the gels typically contain peroxide, although there’s no evidence to suggest that UV light helps the peroxide work more quickly. Instead, she recommends using devices with LED blue lights – not UV lights.

Ultimately, there’s some evidence that UV lights can speed up the teeth whitening process, but only when used with gels that contain photocatalysts.

The makers of Soleil Glo never list any studies, clinical trials, or other information supporting the claims made by the manufacturer.

Who Makes Soleil Glo?

Soleil Glo is made by an Australian company named BellaVei. You can contact the company at +61-(0)2 8036 3151 during normal Australian business hours (9:00 to 17:00 CET).

The company lists its return address as Singapore at the following address:

Returns Department
PO Box 1201
Singapore, 918118, SG

Aside from this basic contact information, we know very little about BellaVei. The company’s official website, BellaVei.com, sells skin creams and beauty products at premium price tags. Just like Soleil Glo, these skin creams promise professional-looking results with at-home prices.

Soleil Glo Pricing

Soleil Glo, like many products sold online, has a misleading pricing policy. The sales page for Soleil Glo has a big price tag that says “only $32.95”. If you read the fine print, however, you’ll learn that the price is per item. Considering there are 5 items in the kit, that makes a huge difference in the final pricing.

Soleil Glo also comes with an additional “international fee” of 15% for orders outside of Australia.

In any case, here’s the total price for the Soleil Glo kit:

-5 Piece Soleil Glo Kit: $164.75 AUD

That kit includes 1 teeth tray set, 3 gel tubes, and 1 UV accelerator. Shipping is included in the price when ordering anywhere in Australia.

Should You Use Soleil Glo to Whiten your Teeth?

Soleil Glo is an at-home teeth whitening system that makes big promises about its effectiveness. The manufacturer of Soleil Glo claims that their kit is “4 times stronger than the leading competition” and delivers “400% more power”. Despite these bold claims, there are no scientific studies or other information backing up the effectiveness of Soleil Glo.

Making matters worse is the shady pricing policy: the makers of Soleil Glo never tell you the full price of the kit. Instead, they deliberately mislead you by listing the price “per item”, which is $32.95. The price you actually pay is nearly $170 Australian dollars.

Ultimately, there isn’t enough evidence to suggest that Soleil Glo works as advertised. You can find similar UV-based teeth whitening kits online from Amazon for a cheaper price – and with more transparent marketing tactics.

  1. Do NOT buy SoleilGLO – Misleading Adv and > 40% hidden charge
I had the WORST online purchase experience even with #SoleilGLO. No exact amount of the whitening kit was shown.
No receipt was given after purchased.
No verification PIN to be key in via credit card payment, so it is dangerous
Charged me SGD 200.96 instead of SGD 34.95.
20% hidden charge in terms and conditions, I read it but no statement indicating this point
    15% charge for international order
they replied SGD 34.95 is per each item= SGD 174.75 vs SGD 34.95 on the adv.
I requested for full refund, they replied I got to pay 15% re-stocking fee and S&H
The website adv is misleading, no break down of the payment item.
    Definitely NOT recommend!

  2. People must be patient. This company is NOT a scam. At first, i thought likewise but they proved me wrong. Therefore i feel obliged to type this comment. i received a refund after id told them i didn’t know about the shipping fee (which was expensive).
Proof that it’s not a scam:
    1. i received 50% refund back in my account.
    2. they have 24h customer service. (which i constantly phoned)
    3.it’s a secured site.
    3. they provide a tracking number to track how far your order is.
etc.. even though i haven’t received my package yet, which i believe i’ll receive in few days or a week since its far and they told me in advance that it might take 7-22 days. i believe it isn’t a scam because scammers DON’T refund you.

  3. This is a scam. My husband and I ordered this for a year still haven’t received the product. At first we received a mail from the company saying that we would receive the parcel within 3 weeks, we waited and never heard from them since that time. it’s been over a year now. Please do not order. The money they debited from our bank account was way more than the price they advertised.

  4. I fell for the same marketing trick made by the company. Very disappointed as advertised for 32 but was charged 200. When emailed them, no response.

  5. Don’t ever buy from this company, it is a scam and they misled you into showing the price of 35/- for the kit but charged you 200/- instead after your credit card had been charged. I emailed them immediately once I found out but was told they have processed and shipped the item which is not true. An unscrupulous company. I regret not reading the reviews before making the purchase. A lesson learnt. Avoid this company at all costs.

  6. What a load of bullshit… they are scam artists and fraudsters. Many people never even receive their products… and that’s after your realise how they charge you for shipping and 5!!!!!! boxes of products instead of the one you thought you were ordering!!!!!!!

  7. Do not ever buy this product from this company. Because i have just been ceated. The price on internet was $32, I was surprised when I received the bill of $200, i felt this company is cheating over purchases.

  8. DO NOT EVER BUY THIS. Exactly like Kobus vanStaden, I’ve bought one before checking out the reviews and tried to cancel within 15mins and they told me it was too late to cancel. I have to go through the entire trouble of receiving it and sending it back without getting a full refund. I was charged over 200 bucks for this thing. Such shallow marketing techniques on the price, a real disgrace. I’m not even sure if I can get a refund for this. Completely disappointed with this company. Do warn anyone you know that wishes to purchase anything from them.

  9. Unfortunately I did not read the comments of Kobus vanStaden and Tracey and ordered the teeth whitening product from Soleilgol. I was debited for the price of each item in the kit. I just want people to know so that they stop dealing with this company. I wish there a international body to deal with such trading malpractice.

  10. I was caught with exactly the same trick as Tracey above.I have also posted a comment similar to that of Tracey, but I see it does not appear after only a few days of posting it.
I have also purchased stuff for my wife from their holding company a few months ago and was also overcharged to the same tune.
The minute my payment went through and I saw what I was charged,I contacted them ( less than half an hour after the purchase) but they told me they could do nothing as the goods have already been despatched.
These people should not be allowed to sell on the Internet and I would like to stop them, if I just know where to report them.
We must stand together and get them off the Internet.

  11. I ordered my kit for R349. Only to be debited R2007! When I queried this, the only response I got was that it was R349 per item in the kit – despite sending them screenshots of their own ads! I also called my bank to alert them and to try and stop / reverse the payment, and I was told that Bellavei, their holding company, is WELL KNOWN for this illegal practice.
So yes, dodgy advertising, shady tactics to con you in to buying.

    I WOULD AVOID.

  12. I ordered soleil glo but havent received the product yet its been 10 days. When will the product arrive and pls notify me.

  13. That’s why I research for the real reviews like this! because most of the teeth whitening toothpaste in the market are just self-proclaim! I rather choose to have laser cleansing for my teeth which is more guarantee of result.
