PhenQ Review – Does It Work?

PhenQ is a weight loss supplement that claims to combine the power of multiple weight loss supplements into one pill. Here’s our PhenQ review.

What is PhenQ?

PhenQ is a diet pill that promises to help anyone get the body of their dreams. It claims to be “pharmaceutical grade” and lists “phentermine” on the packaging.

Phentermine, for those who don’t know, was a wildly effective diet pill that was banned by the FDA for its link to health problems. Ever since it was banned, we’ve seen a number of nutritional supplements promise similar benefits – but nothing has really come close.

Based on the packaging, PhenQ clearly wants consumers to think that it contains phentermine, a banned substance.

Is PhenQ yet another unsuccessful phentermine imitator? Or is it the powerful diet pill you need? Let’s find out more about how it works.

How Does PhenQ Work?

PhenQ claims to work by blocking fat production, suppressing your appetite, burning stored fat within your body, and improving your mood and energy levels.

In order to do that, PhenQ uses a “high quality formula” produced in the United States and the UK. That formula combines the power of multiple weight loss supplements into a single pill. The formula also claims to use a “scientifically proven, secret ingredient” that enhances the power of the diet pill even further.

That formula is called a-Lacys Reset. It’s a registered trademark of PhenQ. That formula purportedly accelerates your metabolism and boosts your body’s thermogenesis, which means it physically generates heat within the body and encourages fat to melt away.

Another key ingredient in PhenQ is caffeine, which is something we see in pretty much every diet pill on the market. Caffeine is a stimulant that has repeatedly demonstrated its effectiveness as a fat burning supplement.

Other ingredients inside PhenQ include:

-Capsimax Powder (a blend of capsicum, piperine, caffeine, and vitamin B3)

-Calcium Carbonate

-Chromium Picolinate

-Nopal

-L-Carnitine Furmarate

The makers of PhenQ call this a “powerful blend of proven ingredients” that will target your weight loss “from multiple angles.”

By the way, PhenQ calls itself a pharmaceutical grade nutritional supplement. There’s no such thing as a “pharmaceutical grade” nutritional supplement, because nutritional supplements aren’t drugs sold by pharmacists – so don’t fall for that bit of marketing.

PhenQ Ingredients

PhenQ’s manufacturer gives us a list of ingredients in the supplement, but it doesn’t actually give us the dosage of those ingredients. It also never explains explain what’s inside the “secret” ingredient, a-Lacys Reset.

It’s never a good sign when a manufacturer refuses to list its ingredients label or dosage information. It’s an even worse problem when the supplement contains caffeine.

Caffeine is a helpful weight loss ingredient found in many diet pills. However, if the caffeine dose is too high, then caffeine is potentially dangerous. Without dosage information for caffeine, we don’t know if PhenQ is potentially dangerous for caffeine-sensitive individuals.

For all we know, PhenQ is just a caffeine pill with trace amounts of other compounds added in.

Put simply, without knowing the dosage of the ingredients, we cannot assess the benefits of the supplement or determine whether or not it’s an effective weight loss agent.

Here are all of the ingredients included in PhenQ:

  • a-Lacys Reset
  • Capsimax Powder (contains capsicum, piperine, caffeine, and vitamin B3)
  • Calcium Carbonate
  • Chromium Picolinate
  • Caffeine
  • Nopal
  • L-Carnitine

As you can see, the caffeine content is worrying: caffeine is one of the primary listed ingredients. However, there’s also more caffeine found within the Capsimax formula.

Based on this information, we’re forced to assume that the most active ingredient in PhenQ is caffeine.

So how much should you be paying for a caffeine pill? Let’s take a look at pricing information.

Who Makes PhenQ?

PhenQ is supplied and manufactured by a company named BUYYO LTD. The company claims to “offer supplements of the highest quality that are manufactured on FDA approved facilities and use 100% pharmaceutical grade ingredients”, according to the website’s About page: PhenQ.com

The makers of PhenQ claim to manufacture the supplement in facilities in the United States and UK.

The company is registered in Cyprus at the following address:

Marinos Court, 1st and 2nd floor

6043 Larnaca – Cyprus

You can get in touch with the company by calling +1 (646) 568 9679 or by filling out the online form on PhenQ.com

The company does not appear to sell any other nutritional supplements at this time.

Should You Use PhenQ to Lose Weight?

The makers of PhenQ have given us little reason to recommend this diet pill. The diet pill appears to use caffeine as its primary active ingredient, although we never actually learn the specific amount of caffeine included in the supplement.

Making things worse is that PhenQ doesn’t list any of its dosage information. It also doesn’t provide any clinical trials, independent studies, or other data to back up its enormous weight loss claims.

Despite this lack of evidence, PhenQ is still priced at $70 for one single bottle.

If you’re looking for a replacement to the wildly popular phentermine diet pills, then PhenQ doesn’t appear to be it: it’s just a caffeine pill that wants you to think there’s phentermine inside (there’s no phentermine).
