Most companies suck.
Why? Because money is their priority. Not what’s best for the customer.
You see this everywhere. Companies getting sued left and right for either producing inferior products or outright lying to the public.
It sickens me.
But there are companies out there that care about their customers. They show it by producing quality and sustainable products.
These integrable companies are on the rise. More and more pop up everyday. The exist not only to improve our lives but to improve the planet as a whole.
Nutiva
Nutiva was founded in 1999 by John Roulac. Mr. Roulac had one goal in mind: to create a better food system that nourishes people, communities, and our planet.
Nutiva lives up to this goal by going completely against the grain when it comes to the type of products they produce. With most companies opting to include cheap ingredients, Nutiva is a proponent of polarizing ideas such as hemp agriculture, GMO labeling, and organic farming.
Nutiva focuses solely on super foods, which are nutrient-dense foods that are highly beneficial to health and can be processed in a sustainable way. These foods include but aren’t limited to hemp, coconut, chia, and red palm.
These nutrient rich ingredients are used to make products that promote health and general well-being for consumers. Many companies claim to do the same, but not many follow through.
I personally am refreshed when exposed to companies like Nutiva because they’re such an anomaly. In a world full of greed and dishonesty they bring integrity and abundance.
This is evident in their Manifesto.
Manifesto
When I read through Nutiva’s manifesto I knew right away this is a company that’s truly standing for something.
All companies have their creeds. You’ll see them plastered all over their website and company walls. Most of the time this is for show.
I’d have to say after reading Nutiva’s manifesto, they’re the exception.
Their manifesto includes the following:
- Eat real food- Real food trumps foodstuff.
- Power to the people- The people have the power to choose sustenance.
- GMO’s begone- We should know what’s going in our bodies
- Hail to the Locavore- Eating locally is best
- Less corn and soy- The rate at which we consume corn is unbelievable
- End industrial food subsidies- Organic farms are healthier and deserve their fair share
- Carbon Farmers Unite- Global warming is real.
- Fewer Toxins- Organic is the way to go.
- Stop Corruption- Major companies misinform through rhetoric
- Together, let’s revolutionize the way the world eats.
This manifesto really captures the essence of this company and what it stands for. And if any of this is true, they’re certainly a company I can get behind.
Organic Plant Protein
Nutiva has a pretty extensive catalog which includes all organic products. These products are all nutrient rich and made with the intent to make you an overall healthier individual.
Some of their products include:
-Organic Hazelnut Spread
-Organic Plant Protein
-Buttery Coconut oil
-Superseed Blend
-Organic Virgin coconut oil
-Organic coconut mana
-Organic Red Palm Oil
-Organic Coconut Sugar
One of the best products Nutiva has to offer by far is their Organic Plant Protein, so that’s the product I’ll focus on for this review.
If you’ve used as much protein as I have, you’d know the word “organic” is unheard of in the industry. This is due to the fitness industry not really caring about your health. They merely want a quick buck.
This protein is plant based, sugar-free, and includes a glen of pea, pumpkin, sunflower, chia, hemp, and sacha inch. Since this protein powder has no dairy it makes for a great option for those who want a protein supplement but have a dairy sensitivity.
Organic plant protein contains 20g of protein and 4g of fiber per serving. This makes it a more than satisfying meal that may help you drop a few pounds.
Being the type of company that exceeds expectations, Nutiva didn’t stop there. No, they also included 30 super foods into this protein powder. These foods include reishi mushroom, baobab, morniga, kale, hawthorn berry, purple corn, sea buckthorn, kelp, and cinnamon.
A protein powder that has this much going on has to cost an arm and a leg, right? Well, that’s only if you consider $39.99 expensive.
The words “Protein powder” and “healthy” don’t have to be mutually exclusive anymore, and that’s all thanks to Nutiva.
Location
Now that you see how amazing of a company Nutiva is and what marvelous products they make, your next question is probably where to find it?
Nutiva products are available in health stores all across the country. To find one near you just head to their website www.nutiva.com.
If no stores are within proximity to you, just order their products online. But hurry, supplies don’t last long. In fact, at the writing of this article, all of Nutivas Organic Plant Protein was sold out.
Nutiva Conclusion
Nutiva is a company that is doing what I feel all companies should: Making the world a better place for all posterity.
Their products are effective and promote general well-being for us and the planet. It’s really the ultimate win-win situation.
I don’t know about you, but I’d rather give my money to companies that actually care about me, not about how much I can benefit them.
If you feel the same, I’d highly encourage you to check out these products.
We will be looking for a similar product that does not taste like chalk and purchase it from Vitacost!
Really? They emailed us saying that there was a recall on some batches of their “Superfood 30” and told us to discard it and send them pictures of the codes on bottles, boxes and packages for a refund, which we did. Later they said that they now wanted the product back in order to give a refund ( the trash went out that morning ). We ordered it directly from them ( about $230 worth ) , maybe that’s why they changed the recall rules. We had really stocked up on it and probably spent a thousand dollars between Nutiva and Vitacost. Just so you know, Vitacost honored the recall without any problems whatsoever.
