Neuravena Review
Neuravena is a registered trademark formula created by a company called Frutarom. The green oat herb extract purportedly supports mental fitness.
What is Neuravena?
Neuravena is a nootropic formula based on wild green oat herb extract. Green oat herb has been used since medieval times to enhance cognitive health. Today, a company called Frutarom extracted green oat herb, then purified it and put it into a trademarked formula. Today, Neuravena is undergoing clinical trials around the world to assess its effectiveness.
Neuravena is also known as EFLA 955. The manufacturer describes the compound as “a bioactively tested, patented wild green oat extract, manufactured from a select variety of oat herb (Avena sativa L.)”.
The manufacturer also claims that Neuravena has been scientifically proven to:
— Enhanced Overall Mental Fitness
— Support Cognitive Performance In Stressful Situations
In medieval times, people would take green oat herb to improve their cognitive ability in stressful situations or as a sleep aid. Today, Frutarom has purified green oat herb and magnified its benefits. The end result is “a product with great applicability for modern lifestyles” that can “activate your mind”.
How Does Neuravena Work?
Neuravena uses a specific type of green oat herb extract. Frutarom claims that this particular variety was selected from 36 other varieties due to its high potency.
Neuravena works as an inhibitory compound: it targets two neurotransmitters in the brain that are associated with stress. By inhibiting these neurotransmitters, Neuravena can lead to better thinking in more stressful situations.
In clinical trials, Neuravena has been observed to work in specific areas of the brain, including the left frontotemporal area, which is one of the most important parts of the brain for cognitive tasks. The frontotemporal area of the brain is frequently linked to dementia: those who suffer from dementia will often have noticeable signs of damage in the frontotemporal area of their brain.
Like many nootropics and focus-boosting compounds, Neuravena specifically targets the dopamine system in your brain, including dopamine re-uptake transporters and dopamine receptors.
At the same time, Neuravena has been shown to improve blood flow to the brain. According to one scientific study, Neuravena has “been reported to improve vasodilator function in systemic and cerebral arteries in older adults”. This was “suggested to contribute to improvements of human cognition” while preventing the formation of amyloid plaques in the brain.
Scientific Evidence for Neuravena
Neuravena has been tested in several major studies to date, including everything from in vitro studies to human clinical trials.
Frutarom is upfront about all of these clinical trials and publishes full information about the trials at its official website: Neuravena.com/Science/
In one published double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled crossover study, for example, researchers assessed human electric brain activity during intensive mental work to determine the effects of Neuravena on mental fitness. Researchers used a quantitative brain mapping system called CATEEM to visualize changes in brain activity. The group that took Neuravena exhibited a more relaxed brain state during cognitive tasks compared to a placebo group. You can view the full results of the study: Neuravena.com/Cognitive-Performance/
In another study, healthy elderly volunteers “with below-average cognitive performance” consumed single doses of Neuravena at weekly intervals in a double-blind, randomized, crossover trial. During follow-up cognitive testing, it was shown that the Neuravena group made “significantly fewer errors” in a cognitive performance test.
Frutarom also tested the effects of Neuravena on people who were trying to quit smoking and found that there was a significant reduction in tobacco consumption as well as significant improvements in general and verbal memories.

How to Buy Neuravena
Neuravena is currently being studied in preparation of launching on the market. However, you likely won’t be able to directly buy Neuravena. Frutarom is expected to sell the rights to the Neuravena formula to certain third party manufacturers. These third party manufacturers will then combine Neuravena with ingredients like vitamin E, vitamin B, and caffeine to create a marketable nootropic product.
Currently, one of the few products that uses Neuravena in its formula is called Dr. Boxall’s Sceletium Tortuosum with Avena Sativa. That supplement is primarily available in South Africa, where it retails for R139.99 (about $10.50 USD). The supplement promises to fight stress, anxiety, and depression while boosting your mental energy.
If you see other products launching on the market in the near future that use the term “Avena Sativa”, then they may also contain the Neuravena formula (Avena sativa is the scientific classification for wild green oat).
