IBgard Review – Worth Buying?

IBgard is a food product, not a vitamin or supplement, that is designed for the symptoms experienced by individuals who suffer from Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). This is our review.

What is IBgard?

Irritable bowel syndrome is a condition that affects roughly 10% to 15% of the population of the United States. The condition is extremely uncomfortable, and forces you to be incredibly restrictive of the food you consume. You may experience abdominal pain or discomfort, chronic or recurrent diarrhea, constipation, or a combination of these issues. IBS isn’t fun for anyone, and makes it difficult to enjoy everyday things. However, IBgard is able to help with those issues.

The IBgard formula is an advancement in the management of this uncomfortable and suffocating condition. However, any consumer should be aware that there is not an actual cure for it at this time. While you may not be able to cure the problem, IBgard is an excellent way to be able to treat the most brutal of the symptoms.

IBgard is able to help with the management of some of the symptoms of IBS, but you first must understand the typical symptoms. There are three different forms of this condition:

  • IBS-M
    • Includes both diarrhea and constipation
  • IBS-D
    • Mostly diarrhea
  • IBS-C
    • Mostly constipation

Right now, IBgard is able to help with symptoms such as abdominal pain, bloating, diarrhea, gas/mucus, incomplete evacuation, pain, and constipation. Essentially, that means that the problems you face from IBS are able to be controlled with a small dose of the food product throughout the day. This product is a food product, rather than a dietary supplement, which means that you should still follow the instruction of your physician during use.

How IBgard Works

The reason that IBgard is so effective with the inclusion of L-menthol (a component in peppermint oil), which is introduced to the consumer’s body with Site Specific Targeting (SST). SST is a patented technology of IBgard which helps to release the formula quickly into the small intestine, which is where the major problems with IBS are.

Basically, this formula is so effective because it works quickly with the technology. The method introduced microspheres into the body, which helps to increase the absorption of nutrients into the body. Additionally, peppermint oil has been proven to help with regulating the small intestine’s function.

Since this product is a food product, rather than a medication, it does not require approval from the FDA to be sold. However, the makers of this product are still dedicated to reliable and high-quality products. IBgard contains products and ingredients that are approved to use in food products. There is no fat, sugar, salt, starch, yeast, wheat, gluten, corn, lactose, egg, soy, peanuts, shellfish, or preservatives.

Using IBgard

First of all, before you use IBgard, it is critical that you speak with your physician. You do not need a prescription for the capsules, but you should use it primarily if you have IBS. The food product is able to help with the symptoms, which means you can still take it for other digestive issues, but that is not the intended purpose.

While you need to follow the directions of your physician, the normal adult dosage is one to two capsules as needed, which a maximum of three doses in the day. To get the desired results, the capsules should be taken about 30 minutes before or 30 minutes after eating. You should not consume more than eight capsules within a 24-hour period.

These capsules are not meant to be chewed. Swallow the entire capsule with a glass of water. However, if you mix the contents of the capsule into applesauce, that is a safe way to consume it. Some people have difficulty swallowing a pill, so that method of administering the formula is the easiest for some.

IBgard is also available in institutional packets, which should only be administered by a healthcare professional. This form of IBgard should be used with a nasogastric tube or gastrostomy tube.

  1. I understand people with high blood pressure and on medication for this could have a rise in blood pressure with peppermint oil. What is the situation in this regard? I have had serious constipation with IBS rather than diarrhea. Can I benefit from IBGard?
