What is Genius Juice?
Genius Juice is a fruit smoothie company that makes products with flavors like Vanilla Coconut Smoothie and Coffee Coconut Smoothie.
The company was founded on the concept that smoothies can be healthy, filling, nutritious, and tasty. The founder of Genius Juice was living in Los Angeles and enjoyed going to cold-pressed juice bars – but disliked how the juices didn’t provide whole nutrition with fiber, fat, calories, and other filling compounds.
So, that founder started making his own juice in a Vitamin blender in his kitchen, using coconut juice as his base. Then, he watched his friend use the whole coconut in her smoothies: she dumped the coconut juice into her smoothie and then carved out the “meat” of the coconut as well:
“What I tasted that day was beyond amazing, and like nothing I have ever had before. This was not the coconut milk that I have tasted in the stores. This was REAL COCONUT MILK, and it was THICK and FILLING, almost like a ‘Coconut Smoothie’”
With that in mind, Genius Juice was born. Today, the company’s lineup of coconut smoothies can be found at health food retailers across America. The smoothies promise to be the first “real” whole coconut drink that uses the “meat” and the water/juice of the coconut.
Genius Juice Products
Genius Juice currently has a small lineup of just three coconut smoothies. Each smoothie comes with a small range of ingredients, all of which are USDA-organic and non-GMO. Flavors include:
— Vanilla Coconut Smoothie: Includes coconut meat, coconut water, and vanilla
— Original Coconut Smoothie: Includes coconut meat and coconut water
— Coffee Coconut Smoothie: Includes coconut meat, coconut water, and fair trade coffee
The Original smoothie contains 240 calories, 31 grams of carbohydrates, 12 grams of fat, 4 grams of fiber, and 6 grams of protein – stuff you don’t usually get when you cold-press juices together.

About Genius Juice
Genius Juice was founded by “entrepreneur, smoothie enthusiast, and native to Southern California” Alex Bayer. The story behind Genius Juice is that Alex, who is 6’4” and 165 pounds, enjoyed staying healthy by drinking cold-pressed juice smoothies but wanted a little more power behind those smoothies – including fats and calories. He started adding coconut to his own homemade juice smoothes and the rest is history.
