Dr. Goglia’s G-Plans Review – Customized Weight Loss Type Quiz Plans?

on

Celebrity weight loss doctor Dr. Goglia recently launched an online quiz to help you determine your “weight loss type” in under 30 seconds. Find out how it works today in our review.

Who is Dr. Goglia?

Dr. Goglia is a Santa Monica, California-based nutritionist who has worked with a number of celebrities over the years. He’s also been featured on CNN and in Cosmopolitan, GQ, People, Vogue, and other media outlets.

You may recognize a few of the names that Dr. Goglia has worked with – including, you know, Kim Kardashian, Chris Hemsworth, Chris Pratt, Colin Farrell, and Khloe Kardashian.

Dr. Goglia’s official website claims that he is “widely recognized as one of the most accomplished nutritionist [sic] in his field.”. He has worked with “celebrities, business moguls and royalty from all around the world.”

He has also published books like “Turn Up the Heat: Unlock the Fat-Burning Power of Your Metabolism.”

The official website publishes a number of testimonials from celebrities. Owen Wilson said that “Philip Goglia is the greatest nutritionist in history”, for example.

Okay, we get it: Dr. Goglia is a celebrity nutritionist. So what’s this “weight loss type quiz” all about?

The Dr. Goglia Weight Loss Type Quiz

Dr. Goglia recently launched an online marketing campaign advertising a “weight loss type quiz”. That quiz can be found at G-Plans.com.

Dr. Goglia claims you can take the same quiz his celebrity clients took to determine their weight loss type. Best of all, the quiz can be completed in 30 seconds. It looks at some of your physiological factors, then tells you what you need to know about your weight loss type.

Dr. Goglia claims there are four reasons you should take the quiz, including:

1) Learn why effective weight loss strategies are not a “one size fits all” system, and that there are 3 unique strategies that work for 3 unique weight loss types.

2) Losing fat is virtually impossible if you are eating and exercising for the wrong weight loss type. Each type represents a specific hormonal imbalance.

3) Based on your gender, age, body shape, and 5 other factors, Dr. Goglia’s test will “accurately determine exactly which weight loss type you fit into, and give you these results for free.”

4) You get a free plan that shows you how easy it is to start shedding body fat.

All you need to do to take the test is input your:

  • Current Weight
  • Target Weight
  • Age
  • Gender

That’s it. Dr. Goglia’s test will immediately send the results to your email inbox. After that test is complete, you’ll be brought to a page where you’re encouraged to do two more tests, including an “easy metabolic quiz” (11 questions) and a blood work quiz where you can fill in your lipid profile for more personalized weight loss information.

What’s the Catch?

Up to this point, Dr. Goglia’s test sounds pretty good: you get free weight loss advice. So what’s the catch?

Well, the catch is that you’re signing up for only a 14 day free trial of the G-Plans product. Unlike many free trials, Dr. Goglia will automatically charge your credit card at the end of the 14 day trial regardless of whether you liked the product or not. Here’s how the fine print of the terms and conditions explains the offer:

“You are ordering a 14 day product evaluation of our G-Plans product (today) for $0 down.  After the trial period you will be billed the total product price of $39.99 (Thirty Nine Dollars and Ninety Nine Cents)! You will then be instantly enrolled into our convenient, preferred customer (recurring billing program) once your product evaluation period expires and will be charged the full amount for the product (Forty Nine Dollars and Ninety Five Cents). There after you will then be billed again on Day 45 – $39.99 and then every 30 days going forward.”

Basically, you’re billed $39.99 every month for the rest of your life until you cancel. Fortunately, all products come with a 30 day money back guarantee with no questions asked.

To enjoy that guarantee, call 855-265-1513 Monday through Friday between 9am and 6pm EST. Or, email [email protected] (available 24/7).

Ultimately, the “catch” behind the weight loss type quiz is that you only get basic information upfront, and you’re asked to pay to learn more information about your weight loss type. There’s nothing inherently wrong with this practice – although it would have been nice if Dr. Goglia was more upfront about this pricing policy (instead of hiding it in the terms and conditions section).

Should You Take Dr. Goglia’s Weight Loss Type Quiz?

Ultimately, few people give anything away for free online. Dr. Goglia’s new online offer may seem enticing and interesting – but it’s simply designed to lure you into paying for a $40 per month recurring billing program for the “G-Plans” weight loss program.

Some people are willing to pay that much to lose weight – others, however, don’t want to sign up for a “free” offer only to be charged $40 per month.

Nevertheless, as long as you understand the fine print of the terms and conditions, Dr. Goglia’s weight loss type quiz can provide accurate advice about your weight loss goals.
