ADDYs Focus Review

ADDYs Focus describes itself as a focus and concertation supplement to help supercharge your brain. Here’s our ADDYs Focus review.

What is ADDYs Focus?

ADDYs Focus is a nutritional supplement that promises to help you target symptoms of ADHD.

Using all-natural ingredients, ADDYs Focus claims to elevate your focus and concentration through an “elite blend of ingredients”.

Priced at $19.95 for a 60 capsule package, ADDYs Focus is one of the more competitively-priced nootropics we’ve seen online to date.

ADDYs Focus is also one of the few supplements that actually lists its complete list of ingredients along with dosage information – something that is astonishingly rare for the nootropics industry.

The supplement is distributed by Better Health, which sells a number of nutritional supplements online through MiBetterHealth.com.

How Does ADDYs Focus Work?

ADDYs Focus describes how it “integrates a powerful combination of all-natural ingredients to elevate focus and concentration”, giving you an elite blend of ingredients that raise mental energy and stamina to amplify your performance without a crash.

Those key ingredients include 14 different nootropic compounds that we’ve seen in plenty of other nootropics. Each ingredient is accompanied by its specific dosage information.

Some of the most active ingredients include Bacopa monnieri, an Ayurvedic treatment used to boost cognitive energy. There’s also 200mg of Choline bitartrate, which plays a crucial role in the formation of new memories and has been clinically proven to help boost memory in clinical trials.

There’s also a strong dose (400mg) of piracetam as well as 5mg of Vinpocetine, both of which are popular nootropic ingredients that have repeatedly demonstrated their effectiveness in numerous studies to date.

Basically, ADDYs Focus combines 14 of the best, most proven nootropic compounds in the world today into one convenient supplement.

With all that in mind, let’s take a closer look at ADDYs Focus ingredients.

ADDYs Focus Ingredients

— 125mg of Bacopa Monnieri: This has been shown to improve the ability to learn and retain new information. The typical dose for Bacopa monnieri is 300mg, assuming 55% bacoside content by weight. At this dose, numerous studies have shown that it can improve memory, boost attention, and reduce anxiety. Although the dose in ADDYs Focus is under the recommended dosage, that’s still a stronger dose than we’ve seen in many competing nootropics to date.

— 100mg of Rhodiola Rosea: This adaptogen promises to boost mental performance and the ability to concentrate, helping to increase energy and decrease mental fatigue in patients. As Examine.com reports, “Usage of Rhodiola as a daily preventative against fatigue has been reported to be effective in doses as low as 50mg.” Stronger fatigue reduction has been reported with doses of 300 to 600mg.

— 200mg of Choline Bitartrate: Choline bitartrate is typically taken in doses between 250mg and 500mg. In numerous scientific studies and clinical trials to date, choline bitartrate has indicated a powerful effect on human memory at this dosage. The reason choline bitartrate works is because it raises levels of the acetylcholine neurotransmitter in your mind, and that neurotransmitter is used to create new memories.

— 400mg of Piracetam: This nootropic has been shown to play a critical role in improving learning, memory, and cognitive functionality without causing toxicity. The dose is relatively small in ADDYs Focus, as the typical human dosage is 1200 to 4800mg per day. At this dosage, Piracetam has given us extensive evidence that it can reduce cognitive decline, boost cognition, and improve memory.

— 200mg of Phosphatidylserine: This is a type of fat (a phospholipid) used in cells found all across the human body. It plays a key role in multiple cognitive processes.

— 100mg of Phenylalanine: This is an essential amino acid that gets converted into L-Tyrosine after entering the body. Amino acids like L-Tyrosine help produce essential brain chemicals like dopamine, epinephrine, and thyroid hormones.

— 100mg of L-Tyrosine: In addition to phenylalanine (which gets turned into L-Tyrosine in the body), ADDYs Focus includes a straight dose of 100mg of L-Tyrosine.

— 100mg of Acetyl-L-Carnitine: An amino acid that is naturally produced in the body to increase cellular energy.

— 80mg of Cha’de Bugre: Personally, we’ve never seen this oddly-named ingredient in any nootropic to date. If you dig a little deeper, you’ll discover that it comes from a Brazilian tree and contains caffeine. The manufacturer of ADDYs Focus claims that it “is reported to be more powerful than caffeine for boosting mental and physical energy, while at the same time not giving the typical “crash” often reported with stimulants.” WebMD.com reports that the ingredient is under-studied and “there is not enough known about Cha de Bugre to know how it might work for any medical use.”

— 50mg Cocoa Seed Extract: Contains alkaloids like theobromine and caffeine.

— 90mg of Caffeine: This is about the same amount of caffeine as you would find in a cup of coffee.

— 5mg of Vinpocetine: An extract of the periwinkle plant, Vinpocetine is typically used at a low dose of 5mg, with the average daily dosage ranging from 15 to 60mg. At these doses, it’s been shown to be one of the most effective nootropics at boosting cognitive ability, focus, and memory.

— 50mg of Panax Ginseng: Ginseng is an ancient Chinese herb used to improve memory, increase cognitive energy, and boost stamina. Although modern scientific evidence supporting ginseng is limited, you’ll find plenty of anecdotal evidence supporting its benefits among nootropic users.

— 50mg of Ginkgo Biloba: Affects the circulatory system to increase oxygen flow to the brain, possibly helping to relieve headaches, reduce forgetfulness, improve alertness, and boost memory. Mayo Clinic reports that adults over 18 years of age are recommended to take 240 to 600mg of gingko biloba extract daily when using it to treat age-associated memory impairment.

Should You Use ADDYs Focus to Boost your Cognitive Ability?

Ultimately, ADDYs Focus is one of the best nootropic supplements we’ve reviewed. The supplement is transparent about its ingredients and dosages and also comes with a surprisingly competitive price tag, priced at just $20 for a 30 day supply.

More importantly, ADDYs Focus contains scientifically-verified ingredients like Choline bitartrate, piracetam, and vinpocetine. They’re not extremely high doses of any of these ingredients, but they’re within the lower end of the recommended dosage range.

If you’re an experienced nootropic user, then you may find ADDYs Focus underpowered. But if you’re looking for your first nootropic to try, then ADDYs Focus contains ingredients that appear to legitimate increase your focus and boost your memory with few side effects or downsides. At $20, it’s one of the best value nootropic supplements we’ve seen.

  1. How do I stop them from sending and billing hundreds of dollars????? Omg…this is robbery!!!!!!!!!

  2. I ordered the trial bottle of Addy Focus. I just received two more bottles that I didn’t order. They charged my credit card $59.95, without any authorization. I immediately refused and returned the products and notified the credit card company to stop payment. IT IS A SCAM. Don’t get pulled in.

  3. CAUTION: Praza will drain your bank account. I was unable to exit from their ordering site. I sent them an email cancelling any order. They not only sent and charged me for Addy, but also another product. Now I see 2 more charges for almost $120. This is a scam.
