Beachbody Body Beast Workout

Body Beast promises to get anybody “ripped and chiseled in just 90 days” using powerful fat-burning, lean muscle-building techniques. It promises to be better than P90x, Insanity, and similar workout routines. But does Body Beast deliver? Find out today in our Body Beast workout review.

What is Body Beast?

Body Beast is a series of workout videos. It promises to be more serious and weightlifting focused than P90X and other workout tapes. While those workout tapes focus on movement – especially cardio movement – Body Beast focuses on isolating muscle groups using basic weightlifting equipment.

The goal here is to strip away fat and burn lean muscle. It’s advertised for both men and women.

Body Beast was created by “The Beast from the East”, Sagi Kalev, who claims to have been published in Muscle & Fitness, Iron Man, Pro Source, and other magazines.

Beast Body is published by Beachbody and is one of dozens of workout tapes offered by that company. They also make P90, P90X, Insanity, Hip Hop Abs, and other popular workout DVD sets. You’ll also find various Beachbody nutritional supplements, including protein powders, preworkout formulas, and more.

What Kind of Equipment Do You Need for Body Beast?

One of the key ideas behind Body Beast is its simplicity: if you can lift weights of any size, then you can follow the step-by-step training techniques in order to build lean muscle.

With that in mind, you’ll need some basic exercise equipment to complete the routines featured in Body Beast:

Dumbbells: Most users recommend having multiple dumbbells of different sizes. Aim to have two heavy weight dumbbells and multiple dumbbells between 5 to 25 pounds. You can also get adjustable dumbbells.

Bench or Exercise Ball: For certain routines, you’ll need to use a bench or exercise ball. A bench is recommended but all the workouts also have a “modified” person who is only working out with an exercise ball.

Pull Up Bar or Pull Up Assist Band: A real pull up bar is ideal here, but you can also use pull up assist bands if necessary.

That’s it! If you have the basic pieces of equipment listed above, you should have no problem following along with the routines and techniques featured in the Body Beast workout.

Body Beast Workout Plan

There are three different types of workouts: Bulk, Build, and Beast. It’s recommended that you mix up the workouts throughout the week, separating muscle groups with a break day in between.

Here are the specific workouts available in Body Beast:

— Build Back and Biceps: 50 minutes
— Build Shoulders: 38 minutes

Buying Body Beast

You can buy Body Beast from Amazon for $49.85. That price includes the Base Kit, which features seven DVDs with 12 different workouts. There’s also a “Book of the Beast” workout and nutrition guide and a two-sided training schedule to help you keep track of your workouts.

If you’re feeling ambitious, you can also get two other Body Beast kits: the Deluxe Kit and the Ultimate Kit.

The Body Beast Deluxe Kit costs $220.65 and features everything in the Base Kit along with two extra bodybuilding supplements: a 30-day supply of Hardcore Base Shake whey protein powder and a 30-day supply of a preworkout formula called Fuel Shot.

The Body Beast Ultimate Kit, on the other hand, costs $279.65 and includes everything in the Deluxe Kit. You get two additional supplements in the Ultimate kit: Beachbody M.A.X. Creatine and Beachbody Super Suma. M.A.X. Creatine is a basic creatine supplement while Super Suma is a “Brazilian Ginseng” supplement which claims to raise your body’s testosterone production.

All nutritional formulas are made by Beachbody.

Who Should Use Body Beast?

If you have a few dumbbells and 30 minutes per day, then Body Beast might be your new favorite workout. Body Beast is designed for both men and women, although it’s certainly more muscle-focused than other workout tapes.

Ultimately, Body Beast is made by Beachbody, which sells P90X, Insanity, and most other popular workout tapes you’ve heard about. If you’ve seen those workout tapes, then you probably know what to expect.

Whether you’re young or old, Sagi Kalev, the “Beast from the East”, promises that you’re going to love him – and love your body – when he’s done with you.
